The Star Spangled Banner is the only national anthem that ends with a question. Does that Star Spangled Banner yet wave over the land of the free and the home of the brave? Does the American flag still stand for political freedom and individual courage?

In the months and years ahead, those of us fighting for our gun rights will be asking ourselves that very question.

Are Americans willing to sacrifice their freedom for an illusion of collective safety? While gun rights advocates continue their struggle to defend and extend Americans’ individual, constitutionally protected right to keep and bear arms, we should remember the personal bravery that gives us the chance to preserve our heritage of liberty and self-reliance.

We owe it to our soldiers, sailors, airmen and all of our military veterans to do what we must to be able to answer Francis Scott Key’s question in the affirmative. Happy Veteran’s Day.

  1. You’re welcome. But there are more ways to serve other than as a regular, reserve or guard member. Our service to our country starts at birth and ends at death. Always be proud of being an American. Volunteer at a church, or a school. Contribute to your community.

‘Ask not what your country can do for you. But what you can do for your country.’

    • ‘Ask not what your country can do for you. But what you can do for your country.’

We would be SOOOOO much better off as a country if people actually heeded those simple words.

      • What you can do for your country? Hold the democRat Party liable for their democRat Party race based atrocities. The evidence against the democRat Party is overwhelming for Monetary Reparations. Too many people have cowered to the media and allowed the democRat Party to hang the race card around the neck of the Party of Lincoln. For a worthless useful idiot with a head full of slander and libel to go vote for a Republican is to go vote for a racist. How’s that working for those who love America, honor veterans, etc?

Until the brainwashing is reversed expect decent Republican candidates to be automatically branded as racists and lose elections by hook and crook to slanderous libelous democRat scumbags like biden/harris.

The democRat Party sht on Black Americans for hundreds of years and got away with it by using trinket promises to sway beat down Black Americans to remain on the plantation. Racism throughout the democRat Party spanned coast to coast and not just in the south as democRat Party white washers want fools to believe. Bottom line…A Black American belonging to the democRat Party makes as much sense as a Jew belonging to the nazi party. To not step up and hold the democRat Party liable for the damages the democRat Party has thus far gotten away with is to condone it.

  2. My 15yo recently asked for a flag to hang in his room. As a father I was proud, to say the very least.
After all this election BS he’s mentioned possibly taking it down if Biden weasel’s his way in. That was heartbreaking and I believe indicative of a very real effect this bogus election is going to have: a demoralizing of the (actual) American people and a rallying of the socialist bastards that want to ruin everything.

    • “After all this election BS he’s mentioned possibly taking it down if Biden weasel’s his way in.”

Tell him a fascist in power is the very best reason to keep it up.

And thank you, veterans, one and all!

    • Damn, Vic, I sure love my sons, but neither ever requested a flag for his room, I would be so proud! Also, you’re welcome, guys, I had a great time, 20 years and 3 wars, retired in 1991. Flying is impossible to explain, even in combat, you really know you’re alive when any fuckup might kill you within the next 5-10 seconds. But god, the beauty, the sense of freedom! I once flew the length of the Grand Canyon several hundred feet below the rim, try to imagine. I did not actually know that was coming, somebody told me to request such and such, next thing I knew, I and my 3-star General passenger were in the middle of incredible. So, you are welcome, and thank you, as well!

  3. Thank you fellow veterans! Fair winds and following seas in all you do! Four or five years ago while Brexit was in the news there was talk of a Texit. Mostly because Hillary might get elected. Might have to dust off those thoughts again!

  4. Sincerely,

Thank you to all the veterans who come here, regardless of political affiliation. I appreciate your service to our country.

  5. You are welcome. And my thanks to the veterans of the Athens TN Revolt. And my thanks to the veterans of the Deacons for Defense and Justice. Two groups of combat veterans who used “Arms”, machine guns, explosives, and fixed bayonets, to battle government tyranny in the USA.

The 2A has nothing to do with hunting. Its not about collecting guns. Its not about have a social club.

  6. Service is a civil responsibility whether in uniform or supporting the goals of a Republic.

This is a day of remembrance of our Brothers and Sisters who are no longer here with us and a day to pass on to the next generation why this day is not about sales, but what it takes to maintain freedom.

Welcome home to all my Brothers and Sisters here.

    • Vietnam taught me a lesson bittersweet shot in my knee and developing gang green I was given a pass to leave the hospital 🏥 and of the stupid things went to a beach in San Francisco dumbest thing I ever did the three service men I was with laying down on the beach…when a female came down the beach spit on me and called me a baby killer. Thanks for the memories

      • No, I came back in June 1972, after my brother died there in July 1970. Before I left ‘Nam, I swore to myself that anybody spit on me on my way home, I was going to beat him or her to death with my bare hands. Maybe I looked just like that in San Francisco etc, but nobody wanted to play with me. I am sorry for your experience. If she had come on me first, you would not have suffered that shit.

  7. Thank you! A pleasure to serve. Hate to think we served to preserve a country that’ll fall into the evil hands of SloJoe and company! Imagine, a guy who should be fitted for orange pajamas actually sitting in the oval office. Disturbing? Betcher ass!!!

  8. Every Veteran took an oath to defend Country and Constitution against all enemies, foreign AND DOMESTIC. Unlike your service, that oath did not come with an expiration date. What will it take to call us to action against today’s domestic enemies?
