According to him, he builds up from a GLOCK 19X. Basically a G19 slide on a G17 frame. Extra bullets, you know. To me though, it looks like a classic GLOCK 19. Maybe my sensor needs calibration.
He wears it in an unspecified holster (kudos to whomever can identify it!). Oh yeah, in addition to a Smith & Wesson knife and a Hybeam Microlight, he’s got a spare 17-round magazine (likely with a +2 magazine plate).
But back to that light. Camdon carries a $500-600 gun, but carries a $5, single AAA battery flashlight? Beats a Zippo lighter, I suppose.
Oh yes, and for a backup gun he carries the very deep cover North American Arms .22 Magnum Mini-Revolver. Even at a .22, it’ll look a lot bigger to an amateur criminal staring down its muzzle if the worst happens.
I agree a better light would be, well, better and at least the NAA revolver isn’t a primary like we saw recently.
A flashlight is a tool to see in the dark not a weapon for most people. I know people talk about how it has the ability to stun people or de escalate a situation but I would proffer to you that a 5 dollar maglight will do that just at well as a 1000 lumen wonder. In fact their is such a thing as too bright.

You can’t get an effective gun for $5. You can get an effective flashlight for that price. Not everyone needs the most tacticool 4 gigawatt powered billion lumens Navy SEALs approved light while they’re trying to find the release latch under their car hood.
Do you have any understanding of what a defensive flashlight is used for? Aside from the regular use a flashlight gets, a “tacticool” high lumen light can easily disorient someone. Even in day time. Ever get flashed and see spots then feel disoriented? Here’s your sign.

I’ve carried plenty of good flashlights for work, and I have a little one for carry. It’s better than a $5 battery special, but the returns are extremely marginal unless you’re walking around at 3AM in Chiraq (and then you’ve got bigger problems). Someone carrying even a cheap flashlight and a firearm is ahead enough in the game that they don’t need lecturing. You know what you learn when you get off the internet (and Soldier of Fortune magazines)? Mall ninjas get off to talking about “defensive flashlights” and various other tacticool nonsense while people who actually have even a little experience have so many better things to worry about. Or you could go watch that infomercial where a totally real Navy SEAL shows you how his flashlight (three easy payments of 59.99!) can take down a squadron of ninjas with it’s fancy strobe.

The owner of this EDC says he’s a commercial driver. So i assume he has a larger flashlight in the cab. But can he quickly get to his weapon when he’s seated?
The picture suggests that he carries it on him since that holster is fairly well used.
That said, I have a couple “beater” IWB holsters, even a lefty model these days because I discovered that there are some spots in my fishing vehicle (read: beater SUV) that fit them perfectly and the clips even hold them on to the car so I get decent retention (sans rolling the car) and don’t have to worry that the holster will come with the gun if I try to draw it.
So now I just add a pistol the car on fishing expeditions and my EDC gun goes with me if I exit the car but inside the car I have an easier to draw pistol.
The only downside is that now my shoulder holsters feel unloved unless it’s a motorcycle type of day.

Even though I don’t like Gocks I like this guy’s layout. Especially the hideout gunm, good idea. And not to sure but isn’t this the first EDC to feature one? Knives, I know their more inconvenient to carry then a folder I myself have more faith in a fixed blade. However if a person is confident that they can drive their folder to the hilt through 1/2 inch plywood ( about what it takes) then good enuff. BTW I once stabbed a guy with s switchblade and the blade broke off in him. I also stabbed a guy with a screwdriver and it didn’t break, so I’m a fixed blade fan.

No, there have been a number of them, over the years I have been ’round here. At least two of them had them as primary carry.

Don’t really know, I was left holding the handle. I think the blade snapped. I pitched the knife as soon as I got out the door.
