The effort was launched after a Neighborhood Watch meeting held in the wake of violence that ensued largely in the city’s Downtown and Uptown districts after the police shooting Aug. 23 of Jacob Blake.

“We had a neighborhood Watch meeting, about 20 of us assembled and talked about what we should do,” said Jason, who has lived in the neighborhood about 20 years.

Several ideas were thrown about and what was initially settled on was if sentrys (sic) in the neighborhood saw potential trouble, they would drive through the subdivision and honk their horns so residents would know something was happening.

The decision to arm came afterwards.

“A lot of us are veterans (both men said they served in the Marines), some are former cops, so we’re comfortable (handling firearms),” Jason said. “We’re simply doing nothing more than protecting the subdivision.”

    • …and 100% Biden voters. It’s the same people now chanting Death to America! America’s enemies will be able to kick their legs up, and watch democrats do their job for them.

      • I’ve noticed a yard sign evolution of sorts where I am.

First came the BLM signs. Then came the Biden signs. The BLM signs are disappearing. The Biden signs remain. I imagine once Biden’s segregationist past and Harris’ CA pedophile protection racket start getting hammered those signs will gradually fade away as well.

        • This is second hand but still great. From a coworker, some relatives drove from central Pa. to a suburb of pissburg, counted 120ish Trump signs biden signs in the high teens and 40 some sweet corn signs. I think that about says it all.

        • They didn’t count the milk/dairy signs? Those would have outnumbered them all! Dairy Farmer Lives Matter! 😉

  1. Cool story bro…they did similar in my burb but didn’t make a big deal out of it. And didn’t let a 17 year old be the “man”.

    • To be fair, that 17 year old has contributed more to his “community” than the average 40 year old. 14 year olds used to run away from home to fight in our civil wars, why would it be any different this time? Good for this man for putting out fires, providing medical aid, and defending himself and America.

      • because people are a lot softer.

there were men who walked from Louisiana and Texas to Virginia so they could fight in the war.

        • “there were men who walked from Louisiana and Texas to Virginia so they could fight in the war.”

Yes, many Southerners wanted to preserve slavery in order to continue stealing the labor of Black people.

        • The men who walked from Texas weren’t rich enough to own slaves. If they had been, they would have taken the train or ridden horses.

Those men went, like most southerners, because they didn’t want Federal armies burning their houses and killing their women. They figured it was better to stop the Yankees in Virginia than wait until they got to Texas.

So, sorry, the ‘Civil War’ wasn’t about slavery. If you doubt that, just take a look at some of Lincoln’s early quotes about preserving the Union. Or, better yet, explain to me why northern slavery was legal until after the war was over (After all, DELAWARE was the last state to outlaw Slavery.)

        • “Yes, many Southerners wanted to preserve slavery in order to continue stealing the labor of Black people.”
They still do. We called them democrats then and now.

        • Miner, what about the men who walked from all over the northern states to defend the union?

          Idiot.

    • How bout an OFWG with a walker and a bicycle horn .Paint the walker camouflage, put some Glock logos on it. Even the pit bulls would stay on the porch, right. Kyle Rittenhouse had his hands full, kept his weapon, kept his head, it was close to hand to hand and he’d have lost. If I was his father I’d be damned proud of of my son. Now he’s facing murder charges for doing the right thing.

  2. Now after all the arguments we had about the open carry of long guns. Now those who were against it. Do you finally understand now why it’s important, to be legally able to carry your Firearms openly?

The battle for open carry in Texas it’s just amazing.

    • It’s all about context. Walking around the park with slung AR on a nice summer day in0 2019 is stupid. Doing it after 2020’s Summer of Love is a necessity.

      • It’s not stupid, you are part of the society who is apparently scared by the sight of one, because we have allowed it to be uncommon and guns are scary… You should have supported it then and maybe more people would be able to show up to stop this spread of anarchy to begin with. Those same cops you worship who would have tried to take all the rights of that person open carrying in a park are now relying on them to defend the freedom of America. Funny how that works.

        • It was never stupid. Such claims just show how successful the gun grabbers were in conditioning people’s minds towards accepting disarmament as normal.

Man with a rifle on a sling should be viewed the same as a man with a knife in his pocket.

      • “It’s all about context. Walking around the park with slung AR on a nice summer day in0 2019 is stupid”

The 1st amendment doesn’t require context to protest or say anything. And the same can be said for the open carry of long guns. You have an american birth right to open carry your long guns period. If its not legal where you live. Then you have had your rights stolen from you.

Walking your “neighborhood post” is how you protect it without firing a warning shot.

    • Not sure what you’re saying, there. Texas has no laws pertaining to long guns, and never has. All possession and carry laws in TX pertain to handguns only. I don’t hunt, there may be hunting rules for long guns.

  3. I’ve thought about enlisting neighbors in a common defense plan for the neighborhood, then, I chuckled, in a sad way.

Our house is on the edge of a liberal arts college campus. Professors and Dean’s all around us. A few left-wing ministers, also. One of our neighbors saw my G17 on my hip while I was standing on the front porch. When I answered his question with “If you see me, I am armed”, he shook his head.

So, unlikely we will assemble a neighborhood defense team or plan. We’ll have to settle for the family plan.

  4. ALL this BS can be ended coast to coast by making examples of these terrorist…..why are we allowing this BS? R we Yemen!?

  5. The most effective response would be to find out where the Nazi collaborator lives and bring “peaceful” protests to his doorsteps.

    • I don’t know why people keep going off about Nazis. They went extinct in 1945. Calling someone a white supremacist, sure. Calling someone a Nazi, take your meds!

      • Please note that he wrote “collaborator,” referring I’m certain to George Soris, the multimillionaire who is behind the funding for Antifa, BLM, the Occupy movement, and others.

        • He don’t scare me none! Now, his cousin George Soros, who is a multiBILLIONaire, dude makes serious trouble.

      • The haven’t called their enemies “Hitlerites” yet. The former USSR were calling the West Germans that almost until the Berlin Wall fell.

      • There is only one Nazi collaborator in this country who funds Anti-American traitors. He should be deported back to Hungary to stand trial for his crimes over there or be charged with treason and sedition in this country.

  6. Have people forgotten how BLM noise years ago ended up leading to police assassinations? Now these terrorists are being promoted by everyone (that’s a democrat). Remember how the violence was ratcheting up in 2016, another election year? The Dallas police shooter said he was upset about recent police shootings and “stated he wanted to kill white people, especially white officers.”

It’s another election year, and once again democrats are pushing lies designed to instigate hate and division.

On Tuesday morning, a 19-year-old black man in Columbus, Ga., allegedly entered an AutoZone and stabbed a white employee in the neck. According to courtroom testimony, Police say Hatchett told them he had been watching videos on Facebook for hours of police shootings around the country. Police say he told them he decided during those videos he wanted to stab a white male.

    https://www.wistv.com/2020/08/28/autozone-stabbing-suspect-could-be-prosecuted-under-georgias-new-hate-crime-laws-says-he-chose-stab-white-male/

    • Dude,

“Have people forgotten how BLM noise years ago ended up leading to police assassinations? ”

No. It is the first thought that comes to mind when I think of BLM.

      • Same. When it first started I knew exactly what they were about. I’ve been in those circles of folks with the gang mentality, it no different for BLM.

  7. This is an indication that young Kyle won’t be convicted. The people who are protecting their neighborhoids will be the ones on the jury, not the pedophiles who burned down the city’s business district.

    • The Ammoland analysis of videos clearly show that Kyle was was trying to get away from a pursuing mob. The people that he shot were clearly attacking him. Further, the Ammoland post also has a link to a NY Post video that is also convincing evidence that he was chased and attacked by members of a BLM mob. The DA making the murder charges is now being faced by a world-class legal team representing Kyle. They’re working pro-bono, by the way.

        • There is blood in the water and they need a sacrifice to please the mob. They will plead down or retrail till something sticks I bet unless there is a 100% acquittal

  8. The danger is not at residential areas where cops and politicians don’t live. That’s paranoia. The downtown areas, the areas with government buildings, areas with police buildings (like lodges) and the areas where government lives are the targets.

If you want to protect your area you have to go to those areas, but I would not die for the government. It’s better to risk your life protecting private businesses than the corrupt government that wants to take your guns.

    • What the actual fuck did you just say?

Shut the fuck up, it doesn’t matter what you just said!

Little bit of “The Rock” for your candy ass. It’s what you need – a smackdown.

    • to Chief Censor
I have never supported the KKK marching through black neighborhoods while carrying guns. But white people like you did. All supported by the ACLU. They have never supported blacks carrying guns. And in fact they co wrote the Mulford Act. As far as I’m concerned marching though ANY residential neighborhood is a direct threat to anyone living and sleeping there.

Since the 1970’s the ACLU has worked to condition the nation to excepting an invasion to where you live. The only place for such marching is in business districts and town centers.

And if city the residence want to surround the marchers with guns. That’s ok with me.

    • The danger is incubating and growing in the areas you describe. It’s why this needs to stop, where else are they gonna go once they’ve run out of things to burn in the city?

  9. When people tell you they want to kill you and tell you they intend to take whatever they can and burn the rest, aren’t you obligated to take them at their word? Why would you think they intend to do something other than what they’ve said they want to do?

  10. 20? 20? Seriously. 20 is what Kyle had as backup and they didn’t do anything to help him. 20 gets you killed in the face of hundreds. It gets you put in jail wondering if you will be convicted of murder after defending yourself legally.

    20. GMAFB. If the town of thousands doesn’t want to participate then, sadly, its time to leave. Their silence has spoken

    • No. That’s not how it works. Frontline fighters should just let the nazi’s keep taking small towns… see? Strategically, you don’t give an inch in a war, and make no mistake, this is war. Right now, these terrorist fight like just that. Their tactics are no different than shit I saw in Iraq, only here in the US, they are free to riot and police are helpless. Thus making free citizens more crucial on the frontlines. If you give these people one town, they take a state next. They already have multiple states, so it’s time to start taking back small town and pushing forward until the new nazi regime named BLM/ANTIFA commits self die.

      • Police are helpful, not helpless, they’re helping the rioteers and jailing the patriots. I don’t know about Irag, my stepson did two tours, I don’t think it was the party we had in the nammer

    • ” 20 gets you killed in the face of hundreds.”

Dunno about that. A few days ago we saw a datapoint and it was 3-0. Three people were willing to die (one got away with a wound). Then the rest of the little revolutionaries found out what was gonna happen if they f’ed around and they ran off. And that wasn’t against 20.

  11. #whereisthefbi? The federal charges are too numerous too list, yet the FBI does nothing but push weekly reports about how the overwhelming threat are REMVEs, far-right, white supremacist which basically means anyone white not burning cities down, or speaks out against the lies. These rioters aren’t lone actors, they have networks, support and funding all things that can be targeted, tracked, traced and defeated. Why has it been the Marshalls doing the heavy lifting in Pacific Northwest? The FBI writ large needs a complete reorg.

As for your local and county law enforcement, Konoshians need to decide for themselves, whether you approve of their response, but if they, especially the county sheriff is not willing to work with its citizens then vote him out and get yourselves a Sheriff like Grady Judd in Florida.

  12. That “outdated” weapon called a mounted bayonet does make a very big impression in public. I don’t think a BLM or Antifa communist will be walking up to a gun owner with one. And if they do? All you have to do is rotate your body slightly, with your long gun, at the low ready position. And you never did point your weapon at anyone.

    • Doing the job they do not have(forced) to do. Please, please , please, law enforcement officers, stay out of this one or pick a side and loose the uniform. I know you Probably can’t, slave to credit, house payments, and kids to raise n sht, add in the pay your getting is better then the guy you pull over for speeding cause he’s late for work down at a sweat factory,, that cost his ass twice,, I can dig that, but on this one, well for some reason the patrol cars radio just did not pick up the call, 10-09.,,,. Just keep the traffic violations filling the bench

  13. The things the Media does not publish. About three weeks ago? A town in Oklahoma, can’t remember the name, might have been Nowata, was somehow informed two buss loads of BLM, that’s burn ,loot, mayhem were coming their way. Those busses were met by 1500 armed citizens and the police. That town, dang it going to have to ask the woman at the store who told me the story what town that was, Wasn’t going to have their town fcked up.

    • did some googling. if we’re talking about the same thing, it was 4 buses going to Ada OK to be met by 600 armed people. no, it didn’t happen. the rumor started with a tweet asking about it.

however it remains true that Ada OK is the world’s biggest speed trap. if you go speeding through Ada you are definitely going to leave with a souvenir. and say hello to the creepy old hags working at the Diary Queen.

      • Biggest speed trap used to be Selma, TX, just outside San Antonio, on Interstate 35. This was around 1970. Just past the top of a hill, Selma city limit sign, posted speed limit changed from 70 to 35, sign not visible until you crested the hill. About 50 feet beyond that was the radar, and a quarter mile later was the courthouse where you would pay the fine. I-35 was only within the city limits about a mile, but the city was collecting enormous amounts of revenue until the state changed the law so that speeding fines went to the state, poof!, all gone.

      • I happen to live in Ada. There was a BLM march down Main St. This was early on before word got out that BLM = Marxists. Lots of locals showed up for the march. More morons here than I originally thought.

Rumor was that troublemakers were going to be bussed in from OKC or Tulsa. That never materialized.

I’ve lived in Ada for over nine years and I’ve never gotten a speeding ticket. Rarely see a cop running radar. There hasn’t been a DQ here for more than the nine years we’ve lived here.
