Sara T. Messing anti gun shirt

I decided to show my support for gun rights by sharing a picture of myself in a pro-gun shirt. Here’s Will & Grace star Debra Messing and your humble scribe side by side. And here’s the back story .  . .

As the murder/suicide unfolded at UCLA, actress Debra Messing took to Twitter to show off her anti-gun violence shirt. But we all know it was an anti-gun shirt. She doesn’t care about gun violence. If she did, she would also have Tweeted about the 69 people shot in Chicago last weekend.

Messing’s shirt was emblazoned with Under the Gun from Katie Couric’s now infamous gun control documentary. Couric recently apologized for “misleading” viewers with edits in the film designed to make pro-2nd Amendment advocates appear foolish. Nonetheless, anti-gunners still protect the laws that don’t protect them. Like Messing, they continue to miss the obvious and greatly alter statistics to fit their “gun are bad” narrative.

Obviously, Messing failed to mention in her anti-gun Tweet that UCLA is a “gun-free” zone, and it’s in California, where there are already stringent restrictions on every aspect of being a gun owner. California has all the legislation currently that all anti-gunners claim they want, and it made no difference. I could explain further, but it isn’t like I will change the minds of anyone that won’t even take the time to realize how ridiculous they are when demanding more gun laws.

Messing eventually kind of apologized for the timing of her Tweet, while still begging for more gun control.

Bottom line: actresses like Messing fear what they don’t understand. Rather than alleviate that fear and learn something new, they try to impress that cowardly demeanor onto the rest of us. And I have a problem with that. My freedom trumps anyone else’s fear.

  1. It is pathetic to see how low these has been and never were actors will stoop for a few more seconds of relevance.

    • Am I the only person to recognize that the flag on her shirt is backwards? And it’s not a camera/mirror thing (the lettering is correct). The stars are always in the upper left.

      • Actually the stars are in the upper right on a person when they are in……wait for it………A Casket!

        • But to the person in the casket they are actually to the upper left (if looking out through the top of the casket.)

But they are not always to the upper left. On aircraft they are always to the front of the aircraft. So on the right side of the aircraft they are to the upper right, on the left side they are to the upper left, as if the flag were flying while the aircraft is moving forward.

      • You are correct on the Flag (Blue Field with Stars go up and to left as viewed from in front of display). That shirt is a copy from Couric’s crappy movie poster which is incorrect also.

Doubters please review the Flag Manual on Line.

      • It’s a mistake, but an easy one to make…for years I put the stars on the right when hanging the flag vertically, because that involved simply rotating the horizontal flag 90 degrees clockwise rather than flipping it over to the “back” side and then rotating it.

      • Mess shirt has same disrespectful image of Flag as the Couric movie poster. Nobody really gives a shit what these so called celebrities say.

  2. That’s fine Sara but I don’t advertise anything gun related in public. Messing is a twit…

  3. Why anyone cares what actors say is beyond me. Their job is to be told what to do, say and emote in front of a camera. …

    • Director to Actor: “You’re just not getting this…”

      Actor: “What is my motivation?”

Director: “Your paycheck is your motivation.”

In other words, their motivation is to do what someone else tells them, how they tell them, in order to advance that other person’s narrative. Since this actress seems to think that in order to get another job in Hollywood she needs to advance the Hollywood narrative it is not in her best interest to educate herself any farther on the subject of guns.

  4. The thought of what safety means to some people kind of stumps me.
Some folks expect everything to be safe, others know that real safety doesn’t exist.
The world is very violent…from nature to the streets of any modern city.
Just the act of accidents are violent.
What some people see as safe i see as living in a bubble.
The stats on people that carry and never having to use thier firearm against another human is low. (you experts know better than i)
Weapons are just as normal as people are, i don’t live my life wanting to use them yet I’m prepared.
These feel good displays of selfies and certain colored shirts only please the fear that these folks have.we got to do something even though it’s really nothing.
If they would only admit that they may have to defend themselves one day they would be closer to understanding what it is to be human.
Life on this planet is harsh….embrace it.

    • BUT BUT BUT.. in California they’re passing a bill that gives SAFETY FOR ALL!! It said it so it must be true. We just need to make unsafety illegal so then everyone will be safe.

  5. Good for you, Sara!

I was out and about on National Gun Violence Awareness Day. I wore a “Keep Calm and Carry Guns” T-shirt, carried two guns and bought a couple of bricks of ammo just to make a point. And I didn’t see a single orange garment all day, except for blaze orange in Bass Pro.

As for the narcissistic actress (who doesn’t look too pretty without her makeup), she was just messing around. Get it?

  6. Who really cares what Ms Messing thinks. Being a typical Hollywood twit who recently had her Cop TV show cancelled. Just another Hollywood phony making their living using guns on TV,

  7. “…actresses like Messing fear what they don’t understand.”

I thinks she just fears the peasants having the power to be armed and perhaps on day be justified in burning her rich ass out of her ivory tower.

    • “…actresses like Messing fear what they don’t understand.”

Which means she’s afraid of absolutely everything. Math, gravity, long division, washing clothes, and by the look of that picture, brushing her hair.

  8. Messing’s shirt was emblazoned with Under the Gun from Katie Couric’s now infamous gun control documentary.
    Says it all doesn’t it?

  9. Liberals like Messing live for the moment where they can show that they “care” about an issue. Be it meaningless hashtags, ribbons or inane selfies. They live in a dream world. I just wish they’d stay there and not interfere with way the rest of us in the real world live our lives.

  10. Would be more relevant if the pro gun person was also an actor or person of note. Why not just throw a pro gun shirt on a dummy, er, I mean mannequin.

  11. “California has all the legislation currently that all anti-gunners claim they want…”

Last week’s vote begs to differ. No possible level of prohibition will ever satisfy these loons.

  12. And to think Messing tried to play a Cop. Guess liberals WILL sell their soul for a buck,
If they all find firearms so offensive let’s see every one of them turn down roles and fade away.

And WHAT’S up with the NRA hiring Obama supporter Toby Keith????

  13. Messing: “We were all asked today to post a picture…” Who is “We… all” and who is doing the asking? Another typical puppet being fed their opinions by the progressive machine.
