An Environmental Consultant’s Shield: Everyday Carry Pocket Dump of the Day

Being an environmental consultant in the Sunshine State can bring you into contact with all manner of dangerous critters. Those on four legs, two legs and even no legs. Which is why ZM carries a sturdy knife and a dependable 9mm pistol.

ZM’s carry gun of choice is the uber-popular Smith & Wesson M&P9 SHIELD M2.0. The fixed blade Morakniv knife is a good, affordable choice as well. And while we like tea as much as the next non-Englishman, we might include a good light in our compliment of gear. Just sayin’.

Links go to the wrong EDC but as Manse points out above, that knife looks like a dog got a hold of it.

All from the “works without spending more than you need to” book.

Links go to the “Saturday Morning” EDC instead of this one. I can’t locate this actual exhibit on the EDC site. Could you correct the links please?
    Thanks.

Love the Pentel 0.9 pencil, my favorite.

Being an “environmental consultant”, I hope he’s carrying lead-free…

A straight blade with no sheath? A gun with no holster? Come on man, show us how you carry too!

    1. avatar strych9 says:

Perhaps it’s a pirate boarding-party EDC. Knife between the teeth and gun stuffed in his sash.

    2. avatar B.D. says:

I can’t wait for the one who says they carry it with just a belt.

      No lie…

Not even worth a rant… just… smh. The sad part is 16 people found it helpful.

      1. avatar strych9 says:

To be fair he also only has one star on that review.

Environment Consultant uses plastic gun and rubber handled knife. Silly Humans.

  11. avatar Bob says:

A 9mm gun and a 0.9mm pencil. Nice synergy. I prefer the 0.7mm pencil, but YMMV.

  12. avatar daveinwyo says:

Uses the butt of the knife as a nail driver for marking boundary lines. Given the type of field book, that is my guess. Probably has a GPS unit or a compass also.
