Illinois Carry: Everyday Carry Pocket Dump of the Day

Quick pocket dump rundown: GLOCK 43, Leatherman multi-tool, Leatherman Tread, and a spare mag. But what interests me is that Infidel patch and the fact that this gun owner lists his home state as Illinois.

Illinois has some – okay, a lot – of issues when it comes to gun rights. From new state licensing and security laws putting an additional burden on FFL owners to the possibility of potential gun buyers having their social media mined, there’s plenty going on in Illinois.

What is the extent of your efforts supporting and defending Second Amendment rights? Do you contact your representatives? Go to pro-gun rallies? Make donations to organizations fighting for those rights?

Never think anti-gun measures can’t come to your state. It’s only a matter of time.

Not all of us from Illinois are ready to run or bend the knee.

I forsee damn near zero compliance with the coming weapons/mag bans. Specially down here south of 16. To answe Kat’s question…yep all the above, routinely. If you live in Illinois and want to retain your rights, at least do all the above and show up for IGOLD in Springfield on March 27th.

there’s good folks all the way up to 80 with the exception of a few towns along the way. Leaving for TN next month, cant say in sad to go but I do feel bad for all of you who have a rougher road ahead(and that’s saying something considering our roads)

    —- H.R. 1112 —-
It sounds like the congress critters want to expand that three day wait on an incomplete background check to … 10 days … and if you don’t hear back, you can “petition” and wait another 10 days …
    Text of bill: https://www.congress.gov/bill/116th-congress/house-bill/1112/text
    It passed today.
    Roll call: http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2019/roll103.xml
    You know what to do.

btw…each of those 10 day periods are 10 business days (meaning the days the State office is open).

      1. avatar Tom in Oregon says:

Wow. Considering how many “holidays” there are, that could be 3-4 week!

Illinois carry. Ha ha! It is a myth. Just trying to keep POTG placated by insinuating that even in the most hostile places one is actually able to carry a “standard” capacity of 6+1. Fits well within any 10 round band. Thanks, Glock for wimping out. The only reason I own a G19Gen5 is for the 31+1 with a +2 butt plate. Hanging on a ledge as Florida plans banning all “automatic” (semiautomatic, really, automatic firearms are already covered by NFA) firearms.

    1. avatar Flying Fish says:

Arrrrrrgh! Where is my edit button? Or at least the one to disable spellcheck! Arrrrrgh! “Band” vs BAN.

    Another Zebra pen…

I never understood the waiting period. It only applies to someone buying their first gun.

I just bitch about the NRA, Springfield Armory, Hickok45, Colion Noir, etc. I’m pretty sure I’m helping.

P.S. We need to primary Trump!!!!

    1. avatar ED says:

did i miss something? whats hickok got to do with it?

      1. avatar Internet Tufff Guy says:

Yes, you missed something. Hickok45 says, “support gun rights by joining the NRA, and any other organization you can afford to join.” So now YouTube self-proclaimed gun rights leaders are bashing the NRA and anyone that promotes them (and their followers are joining in on the fun). They are also calling all NRA employees, contractors, and promoters “shills” which goes to show how dumb they are; they don’t even know the proper definition of a shill. It’s kind of difficult to be a deceptive neutral party when you’re a paid presenter on NRA TV.

Hickok45 and Colion Noir have probably brought more people into the gun community than idiot court jesters like Yankee Marshal could ever dream of.

What good does it do to call your representative? In one ear out the other. ‘ Oh here’s another complainer about Rights, poor dumb bastards still believes he’s got Rights.”
