Ignoring Benefits Of Gun Ownership Can Come At Steep Cost

Denying the proven, life-saving benefits of gun ownership can come at a steep cost, including lives lost. The Rabbi at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh ignored the truth about guns and instead promoted gun control. In fact, he preached for members of his congregation to disarm. He willfully ignored the fact that guns save lives. Yes, even in houses of worship. Sadly, it cost him his life and those of a number of others in his temple.

Clearly, the only thing that stops bad people with evil in their hearts remains a good guy with a gun. Not a(nother) law. Not a good guy or gal holding a court order.

Begging and pleading doesn’t stop bad guys either.

Ignoring Benefits Of Gun Ownership Can Come At Steep Cost

Court records: Woman, 27, stabbed to death as child begs attacker to stop

A man was in police custody after a 27-year-old woman was found stabbed to death Sunday evening at a Phoenix residence. The woman’s 7-year-old daughter had begged the attacker to stop, police said.

The stabbing occurred several hours after the man, Roderick Brooks, had visited the residence of the woman, Keshonna Brooks, on the 2000 block of North 29th Street, to gather items from the home, Maricopa County court records show.

As usual, Michael Bloomberg’s paid doyenne of civilian disarmament, Shannon Watts, wasted no time taking advantage of a tragedy, dancing feverishly in the still-warm blood of the dead.

Well, Shannon, it’s not. Looking at what happened Saturday morning, gun control looks like the real suicide pact. Even children know to call for good guys with guns when irrational behavior trouble lurks.

Recognizing evil’s existence stands as the first step to preparing to stop it. Smug self-righteousness might feel good to the proponents of gun control, but foolishness doesn’t stop bad guys. A determined people with the right tools – including guns – protect the innocent.

Right on cue, many Democrats in America have used the attack to advocate for more gun control. In other words, to disarm still more Jews…along with the rest of us.

We know the proven benefits of gun ownership include saving lives. We use them over a million times a year to defend ourselves. We want other people to know it, too. Because someday, the life they save may not only be their own. Or ours.

    even this won’t sway many.
good for the institutions that allow for protection of their members and children. the rest are really rolling the dice.

😭 🤬 and 🤮. I don’t know what will wake up these ignorant Jews. I am afraid that even another Holocaust will be dismissed as “our fault” in some pretzel logic.

No, “arming everyone” isn’t a happy or even practical solution. Still, the unknown hardness of a target makes is less attractive to the casual bigot or racists. Someone or a group of someones who are happy to die for their cause are difficult to stop. Thank G-d that most are not so fanatical.

When will these “good people” admit that ‘turning the other cheek’ just gets you a matching set of bruises? I guess martyrdom is the new black.

    1. avatar Curtis in IL says:

“Turn the other cheek” was what Jesus commanded. The Jews don’t pay him any mind, anyhow. And Jesus wasn’t referring to a deadly attacker. He was referring to a slap in the face, which is basically an insult with a punctuation mark.

      1. avatar RedOwl97 says:

Actually, Jesus instructed his disciples to arm themselves because he was going to be leaving (i.e. dying on the cross) soon. “He said to them, “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.” – Luke 22:36 . He does not want his followers to “live by the sword” but he does not want us to be defenseless either.

      2. You’re right. Jesus wasn’t referring to an armed assailant. Turning the other cheek is meant to give the other person a chance to “think again, reconsider their words, change their attitude”. How’s it working out for the unarmed British police? Do the German police have guns now?

Shannon Watts sure does love a mass slaying , what better way to get her ugly mug in the news , speak badly of our 2nd Amendment Right’s , speak out against the NRA ….. She is a treasonous , charlatan. She cares not one bit about the lives lost , it’s not in her wretched being to care. She does care about her crusade against POTG and will not waste a tragedy to further her agenda against us. It is a sad thing to see this troll using these Jewish victims , to berate the good citizens that would not hesitate to put their own lives at risk to save other’s with , you got it ” a gun ” life is precious. The Jewish people have known violence for far too long , the Suffering they endured during WW2 almost ended them. They of all people , should be armed ,ready , and willing to defend themselves , against any person intent on doing them harm. It saddens me to think that if just one member of this synagogue had been armed , and ready , this discussion may not be what it is. Another reason for the Watts of this country , to open their mouths and propose yet more infringement of our RIGHT’S.

I’ve general been civil to the Shannon Watts of this world. But at this point saying anything civil is a waste of words. I won’t pay her any attention nor give a rats behind what she thinks. Nor should at this point any of us here. She isn’t worth the time of day as a human being. She has no sympathy just wants to control others. And will try to at any cost……Shame on her and her kind.

  10. avatar James A. Farmer says:

Klamath Falls Herald and News: Sunday, April 8th, 2018/Letters To The Editor
There are times that violence is essential

Responding to Warren Frei’s April 1 letter: “Violence in any form, should not be tolerated.” Really now?

In his 2016 book former U.S. Army Lt. Colonel Dave Grossman (who likewise authored “On Killing”) states: “Our enemy is denial. Denial is a great big blanket we pull up over our heads so we can pretend the bad man will never come. Denial kills us twice. It kills us physically when violence catches us unprepared, and it kills us psychologically when we know that we could have prevented the violence and failed to do so.”

Like Warren Frei’s letter I rightly detest the pop “usually taken out of context” religious cliche: “God Is In Control.” This is another form of denial. Scenario: It’s 2 or 3 A.M. early pre-dawn darkness. The house, apartment, or condo dweller is instantly awaken by the sound of forced entry and breaking glass. But because “God Is In Control” the person in bed can roll back over, go to sleep, and not worry.

The prudent prepared homeowner via armed homeland security would grab a loaded .38 caliber revolver from the nighy-stand, dresser, or bureau drawer, thus confronting, and shooting to kill if necessary, the nocturnal predator who breached the premises.

Yes God himself eventually is in control: of nature, the universe, laws of science, physics etc. But religious and political denial gets people killed! April 19, 1943, commemorates the 75th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising in Poland during World War II (1939-1945).

A small group of Jews, Poles, and resistant fighters united rising up against the murderous Nazi SS, thus fighting to the death. The alternative: deportation to Treblinka, Poland by railroad box cars and cattle cars, and certain death!

“Blessed be the Lord my God, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.” —Psalms 144:1

Liberals are bent on controlling ignorant people and making it against the law to keep Gods commandments. The freedom to defend ourselves stands in their way. They will always be in opposition to true liberty and our nation’s constitution. They like to blame the morally responsible people in this country for everything that’s wrong. They behave like a bunch of spoiled self entitled brats. Ironic thing is that if it was their life that was threatened, the first thing they’d want is a gun to defend themselves and their loved ones! There’s no such thing as a true pacifist. Coward maybe–not pacifist.

  14. avatar GS650G says:

Tell Shannon to drop the armed security and move into west baltimore for a few months if she doesn’t think guns save lives.

  16. avatar Erik Weisz says:

They think all they have to do to imminitize the eschaton (bring about heaven on Earth aka ‘utopia’ from their POV) is to disarm everyone and no one will ever have to defend themselves from anyone ever again, when in fact they will simply have no way to do it. Meanwhile conveniently leaving out all the other more deadly and much more easily preventable causes of death. Doctors, for example, kill more people each year than anything else (medical malpractice not including abortions), yet we are prevented from being aware of their success/failure rates and they are hardly held accountable. More kids drown in swimming pools that get shot every year, and does anyone REALLY need that much water? More people die from getting punched in the face every year than die from rifle fire. I don’t see Shannon volunteering to fill in pools or change the medical industrie’s reporting practices and price-fixing schemes or advocating for men to be handcuffed at all times.
What I mean is this is all bullshit – they’re clearly trying to disarm us in order to fold us into the U.N. as governing body of the globe – Europe’s almost ready now.
I am a nationalist; a bitter clinger and a deplorable. I’m also a white mail, with all the privilege and masculine toxicity that entails. Make us mad enough and we’ll burn the commies and then go re-take Jerusalem as well.

  17. avatar Sora says:

It’s ON YOU to convert others you know. They won’t do it on their own.
Talk to people. Show them their chances increase when they are armed.
Show them how 7 Arab nations tried to exterminate Jews back in war of 1948 and how Jews were able to arm and fight back despite British attempts to leave them disarmed for extinction.

  18. avatar Chris T in KY says:

There is nothing wrong with being a nationalist. As far as I can tell the nationalist don’t want to take my guns. But the socialist, progressive, communist, Liberals and the Left, all have said they want my guns.

And the Libertarians who believe in open borders are happy to have all the above flood into this country.

    1. avatar Hugo says:

Nationalist = patriot…doesn’t specify race or religion. We need more of them.

    2. avatar BR says:

I’m a libretarian and can say you are not entirely right.

Libretarian=liberty advocate (in other words everyone does what he or she feels like doing so long as they don’t attack others rights).

So basically open borders or no, no one can vote your guns away regardless of birth or belief but unfortunately our government grew over time to allow tyranny.

There are several sects of libretarianism. Modern US libretarianism isn’t very far from what our founders did. I’m a minarcho-libretarian myself.

In this particular situation is is reasonable to assume this rabbi had certain last thoughts:
    1. Oh God! This is not happening.
    2. Maybe, I’ll just pray to God and this guy will just go away.
    3. Damn. I just got shot.
    4. How could I have been so wrong about the gun thing?
    NOW I WISH I HAD A GUN.

  20. avatar Hugo says:

Sadly, many (but not all) American Jews have abandoned common sense for liberalism. For a people that value education, they fail to study and understand history. Even after a tragedy like this, they will lean towards more gun control refusing to grasp the sad fact that nut cases like the guy who did this don’t give a rat’s ass about the law.

  21. avatar EnDangerEd says:

“Man’s law” has no MORAL imperative… it can be Right but just as often WRONG. Property siezures when no charges are ever filed, bogus eminent domain land grabs that then turn the property over to a developer to improve the TAX BASE? Auto’s seized and no charges are ever filed? ALL IMMORAL actions codified by laws mankind wrote…. So laws MAY be right and just, or they may be another opportunity for Government to STEAL from the citizens. At some point an armed citizenry WILL revolt, which would be Bad News for the Perps, in this case Government. Therefore everyone MUST be disarmed to prevent the revolt. Criminals will NOT be affected because the crooks in Government are not impacting them…. YET. When the Gov’t DOES it will be an “all out” contest to see if Governmental Tyranny or Basic criminal activity wins, OR they join up. OY!

My wife and I carry anywhere that it isn’t actually illegal (like a courthouse or school) or has a metal detector (like some concert venues where I have to be content with a non-metallic knife in my boot). Movies? We carry. Stores with no guns signs? We carry. Restaurants/bars? We carry. It doesn’t matter what the sign on the door says since all they could do if they determined we were carrying is ask us to leave, which hasn’t happened in the 20 years I’ve been carrying or the 5 years she has. Of course, we don’t live in a Socialist Liberal state and we never will.

  23. avatar joefoam says:

This Rabbi must have forgotten the holocaust. In this day and age it’s unthinkable that any public place wouldn’t have some form of security.
