“The only way a farmer can arm themselves in Shotgun Farmers is by shooting the ground,” siliconera.com reports. “Given time, the bullets fired into the earth will grow into all new weapons, from the carrocket launcher to the sniperagus rifle to the pea-stol, and will have more ammo the longer they’ve been allowed to grow. Players will need a moment to harvest these veggie weapons with their shovels, though, so they will need to take care while uprooting a weapon.” You have been warned.

    • In a barn, the shooter walked right past a jug of moonshine without taking a pull towards the end.

      Gets a *Fail* on realism… 😉

  1. Can anybody say hayseed or rube?

Perhaps, and this is mere speculation, in some way this hokum simulation may help to diminish the sensitivity that some folks have to firearms, by portraying such objects as natural and “home grown”.

On the other hand, said game is silly and insulting to hillbillies, rednecks and rural folk alike(like that damn dating site and their asinine portrayals and jingles).

In all sincerity, firearms are no laughing matter, and are to be taken serious and respected.

    • Lighten up Francis. No need to get triggered about being “insulting”.

Games like this have been around for over 20 years, I’m just happy to see that a new twist is being thought up to make these games a little original at this point. I’d play it.

But, but, what about all the disenfranchised, culturally appropriatated hillbillies and rednecks? Does nobody care about their delicate sensitivities?

  2. It is a video game…. seems like a fun twist on gameplay since a miss now arms the other player. I grew up playing Golden Eye and Perfect Dark on the N64 along with Doom on PC. Hell, I even had the South Park FPS on the N64. They’re games and meant to be fun. If you find this insulting. Go to your safe space and hug a curiously bi that happens to be gender fluid and has the spirit animal of a elf eared fire fox.

  3. STOP SAYING “I JUST THOUGHT I’D LEAVE THIS HERE”

    STOP
    STOP
    STOP
Maybe I should just stick to reading The Firearm Blog, or Jerking The Trigger…
