Everyday Carry Pocket Dump of the Day – Devin Turner

Like a lot of people, Devin rotates the gear in his EDC kit. As he writes, “I’m not just showing off some gear I have. I actually do carry these items on my person everyday. I usually carry a Spyderco Delica 4 instead of the Kershaw cryo 2. I swap the GLOCK 26 for a GLOCK 42 when I need something even smaller. The key ring has 550 paracord and a firestarter.” See everything in this version at Everyday Carry . . .

isn’t it a better idea to carry pretty much the same thing everytime? or else you have to take inventory during a crisis to remember what you have today.

    1. avatar Eric in Oregon says:

That’s my policy, but I’m sure there are people who don’t need such structure.

    2. avatar strych9 says:

Priorities change with changing circumstances. Only you can decide what’s best to carry today vs tomorrow. That’s a judgement call you make based on your experience, where you’re going and what you’re doing. No one else can make that call for you.

You can however mitigate the issue to some extent by looking at your gear in terms of “lines” and setting those up based on how you go about your business.

To us non-OCD types, it really isn’t that complicated. Gun. Knife. Use if necessary.

  3. avatar Aaron says:

gun. knife. cell phone (charged). credit cards and a little cash.

    don’t make it over-complicated.
