Everyday Carry Pocket Dump of the Day – David

David, who’s a correctional officer, calls this ‘grandpa EDC’ and there is a definitely certain vintage aesthetic going on here, no? A memoranda book instead of Field Notes. A Maglite rather than a Surefire. And then there’s that S&W 469. See all of the gear David carries at Everyday Carry . . .

I noticed that too. Got a big box of those with yellowed paper in our stock room. Early 80’s vintage.

You can get a three pack of them off Amazon for $15.

S&W 469! Old school and sublimely awesome.

Is this considered one of them thar’ “wonder 9’s”?

I’m doing a review of the 910 for the contest

This one makes me nostalgic for the 80’s. Back when Sonny Crockett was rolling with S&W semis.

That mini Maglight was my car glovebox light for years until I upgraded to a 5.11 TMT PLx, which eventually moved to my pocket for EDC.

Shoulda hung on to my 469.
Love my 3913. (Irregardless of Mimi Vice.)

  6. avatar Alphonse says:

So retro. I have that maglite in my car.
