IWA 2016 German Gun Show

Nick is pretty busy these days, what with testing guns and building a $10m gun range on the immediate outskirts of Austin, Texas. So I’m not surprised that the first I’ve heard of IWA 2016 is in this video from the Fieldsports Channel. There’s plenty of firearms-focused appeal here (a.k.a., gun porn), including pimp pin-striped gun stocks and a gi-normous British night site/range finder thingie with WiFi streaming. Too bad the Brits don’t have a larger domestic market. I wonder why that is . . .

I understood the german and fin speaking english better than the 2 english doods speaking english.

And custom pinstriping on a plastic stock? Silk purse, sow’s ear, etc.

    1. avatar The Dude Abides says:

      That’s 75% of AR’s that cost more than 1K.

  2. avatar JMike says:

Sauer is pronounced “Zowah”? Is my P226 actually a “Zig”?

    1. avatar daveR says:

      technically, yes.

    2. avatar Owen says:

      “Zig-Zowah” I like it!

  3. avatar Chris says:

All those European hunting youtube channels make the IWA look like some sort of Fudd show.

In reality, there was also a lot of cool stuff from HK, Sig Sauer, CZ, Steyr, Canik, Ruger, S&W etc., including lots of modern sporting rifles and a few interesting handgun reveals like the CZ SP-01 Shadow 2.

  4. avatar BDub says:

More of a Bolt Action and Shot Gun show, really.

Not really among others H&K revealed there a civilian version of the MP 5 (semi auto only) and one of their semi auto rifles, right now can’t remember which. But if you want you can find a video shooting the MP 5, by a very good competition shooter on youtube.

      1. avatar Mark Bennett says:

Hello ‘ Germanguy ‘. Not related to this video but have you ever ordered from this web site – search for ‘gun parts germany de’. I want to know if it is a genuine site? I ordered some stuff from them and I have not had a reply since. I understand if you are not interested in replying. Regards, Mark

        1. avatar germanguy says:

Sorry, can’t help you there. Since I don’t have a German Gun License I haven’t ordered from any website.

      2. avatar Anonymous says:

        Can you actually buy them?

        1. avatar germanguy says:

At least in Germany and some other European states you can, if I understand the laws correctly. Most likely not in the US, according to you’re import and our export laws.

  5. avatar Evodave says:

They are very big on expensive hunting cloths over there hence the girls were in heaven.

  6. avatar Indiana Tom says:

English folk should learn to speak English.

  7. You know what the Brits use night sight for? They hunt rats with airguns.

    1. avatar Rusty Chains says:

Does that count as big game in England? Good thing we enumerated our rights when we kicked the King to the curb.

  8. “Michaela you’re doing something really specific here, aren’t you? What are you doing?”

“Yeah well uh I am uh looking for some uh sponsors who would be interested the safer rinos in a limpo bowlers. A group of arrangers and they need the support from everyvon of us. They need the tacteecal vest and NALs ekwipment.”

  9. avatar Mark Bennett says:

The channel that hosted that video ‘the shooting show’ never do anything on handguns or AR-15s etc or range shooting etc. They have also done nothing to help fight the proposed EU-gun text ( the proposed changes would further reduce EU citizen”s choice to use certain types of guns).

They are just interested in shot gun type hunting of pigeons, crows etc. They then cover deer stalking and of course rich guys wearing tweed and ties who like to shoot pheasants. Their aim is blatant advertising revenue from none-too subtle product branding on their videos.
