Get Your Reader Review Contest Entry In Now!

Last week we announced our first ever reader gun review contest. And the grand prize for the best reader-generated reviews is an Underground Tactical Bacon Maker Six 5 Ultralight in 6.5 Grendel (above). And we know that with the holiday last week, you were busy harvesting pumpkins, churning apple butter and butchering turkeys. But now that’s all over. So don’t miss your chance to immortalize your work in TTAG’s highly respected library of gun reviews and take home one of the sweetest rifles you’ll ever shoot. Send your entry to [email protected] by Friday, December 19. Let’s see what you got.

Declare me the winner, send me the BM Six 5 and I’ll provide the review when I get to it 🙂

    1. avatar Robert Farago says:

That’s not how it works. That’s not how any of this works.

      1. avatar Michael in GA says:

        I’m unfriending you!

      2. avatar Model 31 says:

Yea, let him have it and I’ll get the next one.

      3. avatar Ing says:

Are you sure about that? Declare me the winner now, and I’ll give you a top-notch review of that rifle…yesterday.

  2. avatar Jeff O/. says:

Aaaahhh! December 19th?! I thought it was later than that.

Great, now I’m worried that I won’t get to the range in time…and by “range” I mean somewhere in the desert where it’s safe to shoot. And the fact it’s snowing heavily outside and I just came off a 1 week break isn’t helping my problem.

So… enter as often as we like?

What if Accur81 made 15 mediocre reviews and Tom in Oregon made 1 exceptional review. Who would win?

    Who judges the review?

    1. avatar Dan Zimmerman says:

As often as you like. But quality will win over quantity. And I get to pick the winner.

      1. avatar Michael in GA says:

        Here is my review:

        Glock 19…’nough said.

We have a Bacon Maker Winner!

  4. avatar Mark N. says:

To do a review, I’d have to go buy a new gun…which would be nice if Christmas wasn’t just around the corner. The only new gun I have is a homebuilt, so it doesn’t count.

    1. avatar Ralph says:

Why a new gun? This site reviews WW2, classic and older firearms all the time.

      1. avatar Mark N. says:

Let me rephrase: new to me. The last commercially manufactured gun I purchased (a year ago) has been reviewed here, and the last gun I bought was an AR I made with a no longer sold 80% lower and parts from all over the place.

    2. What Ralph said. The gun definitely does not have to be new.

I think this contest is being hosted to give the writers/editor/owner some Christmas/Hanukkah downtime/family time. 😉

  6. avatar LJM says:

Trying to hash out my Browning Maxus review by the 19th… Damm work, stop getting in the way!

  7. avatar FRAN says:

If I knew what the 40 cal I shot was, It would be interesting. AS it is the only thing I have shot recently.
The Ammo prices on 00 and slugs for my 12 gauge aren’t coming down any, not in my area and I refuse to spend 1.00 a shot to practice on a 12 gauge pump. Any body want to trade a Winchester 12 gauge pump, for a Mossburg with two barrels, one’s a smooth bore and the other one is grooved..

    1. avatar jwm says:

Um, for practice with a 12 ga. I use whatever light target loads are on sale at walmart. Save the buckshot for when it counts.
