New from FNH: FNS-9 Competition Longslide

FNH’s latest striker-fired pistol is also their longest: the FNS-9 Competition Longslide. The fully-ambidextrous FNS-9 (there’s a new FNS-40, too) is available with or without a manual safety. Belgium’s best features a cold hammer forged barrel and interchangeable backstraps. For the thick end of $850, buyers get their choice of a black or stainless slide, Dave Sevigny-designed night sights (which we loved) or fiber optic front sights so bright Santa could have dispensed with that red-nosed freak. If the FNS-9 Competition Longslide shoots as well as it feels then, to quote Nina Simone, I’m feeeeeling good. A look at the other side on the other side of the jump . . .

I want I want I want – with a stainless slide, it is a cousin to my FNP-45 Tactical. I am curious if I’ll like a Striker fired pistol.

Haven’t had the opportunity to shoot one yet, but I’ve fondled them at the store, and those FN pistols sure do feel good in the hand. They’re definitely on my wish list…

That looks cool. So many good choices!

  3. avatar Ralph says:

So many guns, so little ammo. Sniff.

I wonder how it compares to the XDm 5.25… a friend of mine (new gun owner, yay!) recently purchased one and man… it’s a pretty nice piece.

I want optics mount cuts in the slide. I have an S&W Core on order but thought I would see Glock start to offer this in the 34&35 and this gun would be nice to have it.

  6. avatar J- says:

Does it still have that squishy trigger?

  7. avatar Matt in FL says:

    What a fantastic song.

  8. avatar Lauderdale Vet says:

    Where can you get one?
