(all kidding aside, it was a good pun) Reply Adrian says: August 5, 2011 at 13:30 It was a loud report! Reply mikeb302000 says: August 6, 2011 at 04:49 clip is synonymous with magazine. You guys should check the dictionary on that and get off it. Reply pro.0s says: August 6, 2011 at 05:06 Allow me to rephrase what mikeb302000 meant: A barrel shroud is a shoulder thing that goes up. You guys should check the dictionary on that and get off it. Reply Rebecca says: August 6, 2011 at 07:53 Okay, I give up: what is this “shoulder thing that goes up” about? I know what a barrel shroud is: a protective cover for the barrel to keep you from burning yourself on it. What’s that got to do with a shoulder, or a thing “that goes up”??? Charles says: August 6, 2011 at 10:50 It’s a reference to an MSNBC interview in which the host Tucker Carlson questions Carolyn McCarthy about the content of her gun control bill, the Assault Weapons Ban and Law Enforcement Protection Act. CARLSON: I‘m sorry. I read the legislation and it said that it would regulate barrel shrouds. What is a barrel shroud? And why should we regulate that? MCCARTHY: The guns that were chosen back in those days were basically the gun that most gangs and criminal were using to kill our police officers. I‘m not saying it was the best bill. But that was the best bill they could get out… CARLSON: Do you know what a barrel shroud is? MCCARTHY: I actually don‘t know what a barrel shroud is. CARLSON: Oh, OK. Because it is in your legislation. MCCARTHY: I believe it is a shoulder thing that goes up. Rebecca says: August 8, 2011 at 20:32 Ah, thanks for that! I guess ignorance really IS bliss, huh? Rebecca says: August 6, 2011 at 07:54 clip is synonymous with magazine. Only to those of you gun-grabbers who have no idea what you’re talking about. You probably also say “semi-automatic machine gun” too, don’t you? Reply Brad Kozak says: August 5, 2011 at 13:38 I always wondered what Kent Brockman looked like in real life. Reply Ralph says: August 5, 2011 at 18:39 The shooter was firing in the wrong direction. Turn around, bright eyes. Reply Write a Comment Cancel reply Your email address will not be published.
