Obama Re-Nominates Andrew Traver for ATF Head

I spoke too soon. It seems like the Obama administration HAS been drinking and IS spoiling for a fight with the NRA, GOA and right-minded gun owners everywhere. All the President’s Men (or at least the ones who think it’s a good idea to stir-up the Democratic party’s far-left base) have renominated Andrew Traver to head the headless Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (and Really Big Fires). mainjustice.com is the bearer of sad tidings: “The ATF has never had a Senate-confirmed leader, as the gun-regulation agency has been buffeted by the fierce politics surrounding firearms ownership . . . Acting Director Keneth Melson has led the agency since 2009.” Grab some popcorn and get ready to email your Senator. This is gonna blow up good.

I hope no one thinks that things will actually change, now that the republicans control the House. Dear Leader will just rule by Executive Diktat to get what he wants. Count on it.

I like this. Using this thug’s nomination to torture BATFAE for weeks, before they’re immolated will be fun.

Bring the hot dogs along with the pop corn.

    As if.

It is precisely for such things as this, nominations and treaties, that the Senate Democrats are now trying to do away with the filibuster. They don’t have the supermajority needed to invoke cloture on debate.
That Traver has been re-nominated is significatory that they are planning to proceed with their agenda on every front possible.

Yup. It’s pretty cool when the Marxists can just throw anything they want in your face and be completely protected by the media from any fallout. They could never even think of doing these things if it weren’t for the media. A media that never met a Marxist it didn’t like, even love, and of course, support!
