AR-15 towel holder (courtesy AA for The Truth About Guns)

Post Sandy Hook, the civilian disarmament campaign has done its level best to demonize the modern sporting rifle. Ignoring the need to shoot multiple hogs in short order (and the MSR’s light weight, accuracy, affordability and reliability), the gun grabbers’ mock its utility as a hunting weapon. They call the AR-15 a “weapon of war” that has no business in the hands of civilians—even though police are civilians and they’ve got no beef with that. Anyway, reader AA sent us this image of his father’s AR-15 paper towel holder. So . . . what else can you do with an AR-15 that doesn’t kill as many people as possible as fast as possible (even though that’s not necessarily a bad thing when it comes to, say, defending against an attack by a murderous gang)? Ideas? [Send images to [email protected]]

  1. I suppose I could use it for shooting out windows on higher floors at house fires. It sure would save the time and manpower of setting up a ladder then climbing it.

  2. It can be used for:
digging small, 22 cal holes in your backyard.
    Turning money (ammo) into noise
A platform for attaching crap (accessories)
    Key ring holder

  3. Given the following Federal law (look it up), the AR-15 is very useful for arming the “unorganized militia”, as defined below.

    10 USC § 311 – Militia: composition and classes:
(a)The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.
(b)The classes of the militia are—
(1)the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and
(2)the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.
[For those of you who remain in denial about the meaning of “militia”, this “class” (b)(2) means EVERY able-bodied American male between the ages of 17 and 45.]

Women and senior citizens are welcome to sue for age and gender discrimination.

    • You sir are a person I want to keep around. How do we become Google Plus/ Facebook friends?

I have been yelling from the grand stands that the 2A was written in the context of the fact we just successfully conducted a revolution and defected from England. Yet I hear so many people who are only concerned with protecting their 800 sq foot apartment. Not that defending the home is unimportant, but it is equally important that the citizen remain the ultimate power driving this nation.

  4. Don’t get into the stupid defense response that the anti’s want us in. There is no lefty pleasing “need” for an AR-15, there is no lefty pleasing “use” for an AR-15. Why bother pleasing them if you know the “need” and “use” questions are 100% rethorical?

  5. It can be used for recycling scrap metal. Damned the oxy/acetylene torch, damned the plasma cutter, when you have an AR you can take down an entire railroad in short order. //in other news, what the F do the grabbers think the big cities are if not a war zone? Isn’t 500 enough in Chicago? They “need” full auto in the windy city, Randy

    • Haha I forgot that assault weapons can blow up railroads.

Funny, there are plenty of AR and AK owners in my area and Norfolk Southern dosnt seem to have any problems staying on schedule. All of the freight depots are intact too.

  6. Destruction of hard drives at 50 yards (or whatever distance pleases you) to assure no one can access the data when you trash them. Protecting your privacy and identity.

  7. Picked up my AR last weekend. Spring was in the air and I had visions of getting it dirty sooner than later. I have a fixed handle Bushmaster with no rails and no laser lights, bells, or whistles. It’s just a straight up AR-15 and I use the sights God and Mr Stoner gave this humble former rifleman. I haven’t picked it up for a few months and immediately started laughing. It’s lightweight, rather dainty looking but still ergonomic in my hands. Looking at a round, it was small and rather diminutive and enemic looking next to the 7.62x54R rounds I perfer to plink with. I put them next to each other and shook my head. The little .223/5.56 round is not much good for doing anything but killing varmints. Designed to tumble and fragment after impact in it’s original form, it could be deadly but now, with the M855 rounds you can buy in bulk, not so much. As we found out in Somalia for Restore Hope, so will a current Iraq or Afghistan vet attest to as well.

I laughed because after storing all winter and looking at it, holding it, I can’t help but think, “Is this the weapon they are so afraid of? Really?”. I have a Garand in my collection that shoots 30 `06. Eight rounds that will go through cinder block or a both sides of a car door and then blow your head clean off. But we are afraid of a little black rifle that now costs in excess of $1500 and spits out .22 caliber rounds?

  8. Long distance gong ringer…no longer do you have to run up the gong in your temple and bang on it with a stick. Sit on your little mat, in your pagoda, and ring away. That makes it an implement used in religious ceremonies. I claim the 1st.

  9. It can be used as a telescope if you have a nice scoped AR15 with a bipod.

Its also an art decoration, and of course can be used to hunt for food.
