We were very impressed when we first got our hands on the SIG SAUER P365 Micro-Compact at SHOT earlier this year. And despite reports of failures in early models, John Boch’s gun performed well and he’s a certified fan. Still, given the reports of firing pin problems and broken trigger springs, Jeremy got another one […]
Most EMTs don’t carry a sidearm. They may find themselves in some sticky situations (think: mobile vehicle full of drugs just a 911 call away), but, as our own Foghorn (a former EMT himself) wrote back in 2015, mandatory sidearms for EMTs would be a bad idea. Voluntary concealed carry is the way to go, […]
If you’re a farmer there are plenty of reasons to have a handgun on your hip. Predator species harassing you livestock, nuisance invasive critters like feral hogs tearing up your fields…a good sidearm comes in mighty handy. Forney, Texas cattle farmer DB chooses to strap on a Ruger Security Six. Half a dozen rounds (plus […]
If you’ve ever been to Houston in the summer, you know the definition of tropical. Hot, steamy, thick weather means packing something that won’t weigh you down. That’s probably at least one of Greg’s considerations in choosing to carry a Smith & Wesson M&P9 SHIELD in an Uncle Mike’s pocket holster. That’s an easy combination […]
If you know any engineers, you know they’re…particular. About a lot of things. So when they choose EDC gear, you can bet dollars to donuts they’ve thought long and hard about everything they carry and have done their research. We’d guess Derek from Pennsylvania is no exception to the rule. For a weekend hike, he […]
You have to hand it to 3Prcntr. He answers all of the questions most pocket dump submitters don’t. Besides the obvious, like the big GLOCK 22, he lets you know it’s mounted with an invisible Streamlight TLR-6. And unlike most, he also shows you his holster (Alpha Concealment Hyperion) and even the ammo he’s carrying […]
My GLOCK 43 doesn’t show quite as much wear as this one, but it’s getting there. EDFX, clearly not satisfied with “perfection,” has swapped out the barrel, the trigger and given the grip a nice stippling job. And while we can’t tell from the photo, we wouldn’t be surprised if he’s replaced the sights, too.
