Parkland Survivor Cameron Kasky: Welcome to the Revolution – Quote of the Day

parkland survivor cameron kasky

“To the leaders, skeptics and cynics who told us to sit down, stay silent and wait your turn: Welcome to the revolution. Either represent the people or get out. Stand for us or beware. The voters are coming.” – Parkland survivor Cameron Kasky in ‘Never again!’ Students demand action against gun violence in nation’s capital [via washingtonpost.com]

  1. avatar John Thayer says:

If having a gun in your possession makes you a danger to society, the answer is not for society to take the gun away from you. The answer is for you to be taken away from society.

    1. avatar Rodd H says:

This child is not talking of revolution, he is talking about the second American civil war.
The tree of Liberty Is thirsty and blood must be spilt.

  2. avatar Rick the Bear says:

    “Ring, ring”

Hey, Cameron, the clue phone is ringing. Pick it up.

“Thank you for answering the clue phone. One of the major factors in the murder of 13+ million people was the disarming of subject peoples. Oh, and by the way, your appropriated slogan of Never Again, came out of that event. Get off of your phone and read a book. Thanks for listening.”

    1. avatar billy-bob says:

Actual number over 100+ million. Nazis, Soviet commies, Chicoms, Khmer Rouge, etc.

      1. avatar Rick the Bear says:

True. I was specifically referencing the Holocaust, though.

  3. avatar Aaron M. Walker says:

“Little Brownshirts and Red Guard…? Hitler Youth club? I see a lot of similarities….

    1. avatar Bob999 says:

Being a history buff who studied the rise of the Nazis in the 1930s, this march is very similar. The tactics, the propaganda, used by the leftist in America today is right out of the playbook of the fascist of decades past.

Do not allow these people to disarm you!!! This is exactly how a country turns to tyranny, and if it continues down this path if we are unable to turn this around by our vote, only those who remained armed will survive.

      1. avatar neiowa says:

The same type of twits are programming these nitwit kiddies.

      2. avatar Cliff H says:

Do a quick Google. The physical resemblance between Hogg and Josef Goebbels is uncanny.

        1. avatar Indiana Tom says:

If Joe Goebel had a grandchild, he would look just like David Hogg!

    2. avatar Anonymous says:

What’s funny is they think that we are the hitlers, the oppressors, the tyrants. And they are the freedom fighting revolutionary’s. And this is because they haven’t thought about the situation on a top axiomatic level. They are busy being confused about negative vs positive freedom.

And pretty much all socialists look at things in terms of negative freedom, and all capitalist societies look at things in terms of positive freedoms. And herein lies their problem. They think they need to be liberated from something because that is what society taught them.

      1. avatar Ed Schrade says:

Anonymous…….It’s called projection. These little pricks are practicing what their indoctrination has taught them. The Hitler youth are back.

  4. avatar The Rookie says:

My face muscles are cramping from all the cringe.

  5. avatar Mack Bolan says:

    Totally NOT crisis actors.

    1. avatar Quasimofo says:

Actors? No, but perhaps puppets/useful idiots?

  6. avatar surlycmd says:

His quick rise to fame has created quite a massive ego.

    1. avatar Hank says:

It’s clear that some of these kids (David Hogg especially) are more in need of good post trauma counseling than a spotlight. Hogg is just the kind of rabid, angry young man an LGS would deny a sale to.

      1. avatar neiowa says:

MOST of these kids didn’t even know where the gunshots came from IF they heard them. Was confined to only one of the many building on that silly ass city sized “campus”

        1. avatar CLarson says:

Yup, the shooting happened in the freshman building. Hogg and the other actors are seniors. I have been a block from many crimes, I guess I am a victim too. 🙄

        2. avatar Hank says:

Hogg started interviewing people, apparently to jumpstart a career. Never let a crisis go to waste, I guess.

  7. avatar Survivordude1090 says:

Here’s what these little shits don’t get. Gun owners and gun supporters are typically the people who do the dirty jobs that “keep the lights on.” Welders, security, police, military, garbage truck drivers, carpenters, auto repairmen, plumbers, farmers, etc. You know, jobs where the likelihood of you DYING on the job is high. They are basically declaring war on people who ensure that his standard of living remains as high as it is. And I seriously doubt many of these millennials are willing to do any of that. So go ahead, piss us off more!

    1. avatar Raoul Duke says:

      These aren’t millennials.

This is Gen Z right here.

      1. avatar Indiana Tom says:

Yeah, my kids are millenials and youngest is now in her mid 20s.
        Not the same generation.

    2. avatar Coping says:

The statistical likelihood of dying in one of those professions even the military is not significantly higher than the very low likelihood of anyone of these kids dying in a mass shooting as people here like to point out. Those jobs are not significantly more dangerous when performed properly to mitigate risk than the drive to the job or home or high risk leisure activities that many people willing participate in for fun. This is part of the “working class hero” mythology. It is empirically not true. It is precisely because working class gun owners make their living at “jobs that keep the lights on” that they are at a political disadvantage, they lack the free time, money or social networks to be politically affectatious in any but the most token ways (voting, donating to the NRA). This is the very meaning of the term “silent majority”.

    3. avatar California Richard says:

Thats why they want more immigrants, preferably illegal. It allows them to dangle the deportation sword of Damocles over their slave labor force, while at the same time giving them a political carrot of they say the right things and vote the correct way.

  8. avatar Gov. William J Le Petomane says:

Yep, this kid gets to keep his head in his little bubble until November 6th. Then the bitter reality will set in and he and his fellow commie kiddies can just go away.

    1. avatar Hank says:

Occupy Wallstreet 2.0. Big media hype, no connection to real voters. The only thing that gives me pause is the swing in Florida.

      1. avatar neiowa says:

The “Swing” in Fl is the jackass gov (who thinks he is going to be the next senator). He needs a serious primary opponent for the Rep nomination. With $ from gun owners.

Candidate filing deadline is May 4, 2018, primary election August 28, 2018

  9. avatar guidoc says:

Power Politics is not a “Safe Space”.

  10. avatar MouseGun says:

So they demonize the opposition, demonize the Bill of Rights, and call for “Revolution”. That’s never a good sign.

    1. avatar Gov. William J Le Petomane says:

Don’t forget wearing Cuban flags on their sleeves and raising their fists in the communist salute.

      1. avatar pwrserge says:

Don’t forget the stylish armbands and the digital bookburning going on in their names on social media.

        1. avatar Indiana Tom says:

          Fascist Book?

  11. avatar Reggie Browning says:

These kids have the perfect combination of arrogance and ignorance that comes with youth and are some of the most obnoxious public speakers. They don’t even make arguments. They say a bunch of zingy phrases and demonize anyone who disagrees with them.

  12. avatar 2ABollard says:

Those kids are truly mindless. They have not thought this through and taken even a second to reflect on what civilian disarmament might bring to this nation.

    1. avatar Reggie Browning says:

Well, the idea that Americans will ever need to rebel against their government is really crazy to most people. Then the idea that the second amendment will make any difference if they did given how much technology and money the government has is even more crazy.

I think the only way to see that it isn’t crazy is to look at history and recognize that very few people see a dictatorship coming. See that if they knew Hitler would become führer, they probably would have never let him rise to power in the first place. To see that the American colonists immediately after the French and Indian war had no idea they would ever be rebelling against the crown.

Secondly and most importantly, you need to recognize that you have no idea what the future holds. Nobody has a crystal ball that allows them to see the future. What will the U.S. economy be in 50 years? What will the government look like? You have to recognize that you simply do not know and you don’t know the outcome of a war that you don’t even know will happen. But saying “I don’t know” is probably the hardest thing for some people to say.

      1. avatar 2ABollard says:

I feel like it would cause widespread civil unrest that would tank the economy sending everyone’s 401K into the toilet again. Those kids are going to get grounded!

        1. avatar Reggie Browning says:

That’s actually pretty funny. “Oh, those kids. Causing civil unrest and tanking the economy. What shenanigans will they get up to next?” then show a preview of a civil war.

      2. avatar John in Ohio says:

The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.

What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.

        But, what do I know?

      3. avatar Coping says:

Is it possible, perhaps even likely that within 50 years or so body armor that makes someone bullet resistant from head to toe to all but the largest caliber, highest velocity current conventional cartridges will be available to governments? What is the likelihood that the next generation of handheld firearms developed to penetrate that armour will be legally, commercially available to civilians? Is it possible that within a generation, two at the most the argument that civilian ownership of conventional firearms (which have not changed dramatically in over a century) counteracts government tyranny will be made obsolete by technology?

  13. avatar FortWorthColtGuy says:

Aren’t I as a gun owner a voter too and should be represented? They act like only their point of view is legitimate.

    1. avatar Reggie Browning says:

Remember, they believe the most likely false statistic that the vast, over whelming majority of Americans want gun control. It’s typical leftist tactic. Take a big rich villain that people don’t really know much about, Big Oil, Wallstreet, NRA, Big Pharma, ect. Then say they are oppressing the vast majority of people by using their massive wealth to bribe politicians to listen to them instead of the people. That way they can sound like they are fighting an oppressive power structure and trying to bring power back to the people like revolutionaries.

      1. avatar Coping says:

Do you mean like every one on this forum says about George Soro’s, … like literally two comments below this one?

    2. avatar Indiana Tom says:

Aren’t I as a gun owner a voter too and should be represented? They act like only their point of view is legitimate.
No, this is like the Communist Party.

  14. avatar Let_Freedom_Ring says:

    1. avatar Gov. William J Le Petomane says:

Hitler was actually very much influenced by OUR Jim Crow laws.

      1. avatar Indiana Tom says:

But can your dog give the Nazi salute?

        1. avatar John in Ohio says:

          I did nazi that coming.

  15. avatar Sam Toucan says:

Soros/DNC is undoubtedly paying for private ARMED security for these Kommie Klown Kids, they have been whining about supposed death threats from the evil NRA members.

This current iteration of the KKK, the DNCs own Kommie Klown Kids probably dont even go to school anymore, that rabidly leftist Parkland school administration probably pre graded them all A’s and gave them the rest of the year off to promulgate the latest DNC fascism against the Bill of Rights.

  16. avatar Pawl from Florida says:

-This just shows just how low the left will go because they are running out of options. They actually recruited an army that is too stupid to realize that they are being duped. When they are not needed any more they will be discarded and the media will turn against them.

    1. avatar Bob999 says:

The left always turns on their own when they are no longer useful. Who is that leftist lady who was the lefts poster child for mother’s against the war on terror? The left destroyedher after they no longer needed her. Heck, go back in time when Hitler disbanded the brown shirts who put him into power and executed its leaders. How about Castro telling the CIA and Bolivians where to find Che Guevara. The left always destroys their own when they are no longer useful.

      1. avatar strych9 says:

You’re probably thinking of Cindy Sheehan.

  17. avatar CalGunsMD says:

” Either learn the law and foundational principles of the country or get out.”

EVERY revolution led by “the youth” has ended in bloody failure.

  18. avatar ironicatbest says:

Pick a date, consolidate, every pro 2a Constitutionanist takes a ,sick day, off from work. That’s how “WE” walk out of school, and it would have far more leverage then a card board sign. Freedom is not free, one day off from work, that’s all I’m asking

  19. avatar Moltar says:

Can someone tell me how in the molten chocolate f*ck cake that is the world today are these entitled assholes “survivors”? Seriously some weren’t even in the targeted building, never heard a shot fired, and weren’t dodging bullets. So what exactly did they survive?

    1. avatar Rick the Bear says:

‘Cause they have feelz, bless their hearts.

      OK, I’ve got nothing.

    2. avatar Indiana Tom says:

So what exactly did they survive?
      Anonymity. Now they are famous.

  20. avatar tjlarson2k says:

    What a muppet.

Ten bucks he will self destruct when the narrative implodes and he realizes he’s a sock puppet for a treasonous regime who will ditch him as soon as his usefulness has run it’s course.

  21. avatar Old Fur Trapper says:

Take him and the rest of his puppets and turn them loose in south side Chicago on their own with no phones. It’s called, CAN YOU OUTSMART THE THUGS TRYING TO KILL YOU?
They get nothing to defend themselves with. If they last 24 hours without getting raped, robbed, or murdered it would be a miracle. And they cannot call 911!

  22. avatar Joe R. says:

    “Welcome to the Revolution . . .”

Good, than ours is a war answered.

  23. avatar Craig in IA says:

I think these kids and those funding them are going to be sorely disappointed when the “voters come”. Left to the voters, no majority will ditch their rights to anything. This should be fun, about as good as watching the media chicks crying when Hillary lost. Going to be some crying kids… Wonder if it will take them as long to discover that they’re being used as it has most minority culture groups?

Now on the other hand, there’s pretty good reason for the voters to come after a large group in the legislatures, state and federal, and I welcome that. If you give a rip about anything in your future, get involved in the process. Yeah- I know- you HATE politics. You do, however have to live with what they do to you, like it or not. So, find candidates you like, support them with your physical and financial help, register with a party if you must to vote in primaries, and get to work. Bitching accomplishes nothing.

  24. avatar BierceAmbrose says:

    He’s petulant, and he’s having a frenzy.

    1. avatar Danny Griffin says:

I see what you did there. 🙂

  25. avatar Indiana Tom says:

“Welcome to the Bolshevik Revolution . . .”
