Chicago Robber Shoots and Kills His Accomplice

“A man was shot dead by an accomplice as they tried to break into the home in the 2400 block of West Eastwood Avenue on the North Side shortly before 10 p.m. Tuesday,” reports. “The intruders encountered residents at the front door, prompting one of them to fire shots at the porch, police said.” Oh well. Leaving the Trib to sound the alarm about, well,  . . .

Hey, I agree with you. The Trib should be celebrating the short and unhappy life of Francis Macomber Luis Antonio Morales, rather than talking about active guns prowling the Windy City neighborhood. But they just. Can’t. Help. Themselves. Like this . . .

Claire Haasl, 36, lives a few homes down from the shooting. She generally considers the neighborhood safe but said she has felt more on edge after summer 2016 when cars parked on the streets were shot up, seemingly at random. No one was reported hurt.

“There’s a heightened awareness because there are guns active in this neighborhood,” said Haasl, who’s lived in the area for about 12 years. “There’s a really solid community here in Lincoln Square, and I think it’s important to be aware that this can happen anywhere. It’s important that we don’t put our heads in the sand.”. . .

“In this neighborhood we watch out for one another,” said the woman, 40. “We call the cops when things go awry.”

Because when seconds count — and the bad guys somehow fail to shoot each other — the police are only minutes away.

Yeah this can happen anywhere as long as it’s a liberal run City.

The feel good story of the day!

The “Self Cleaning Oven” feature is still working.😀

A happy ending! I confess I never heard of west eastwood ave. And I lived nearby…

  4. avatar Ollie says:

It’s going to get a lot worse. A lot of our recent arrivals aren’t very strong in the ethics and citizenship departments. Various naive democrat/liberal/progressive programs will bear a very bitter fruit in the coming years.

    1. avatar Ironhead says:

Trust me its getting worse. I live in the burbs about 20 miles outside chiraq. I have friends on the police force in the town i live in, and they told me all the crap from chiraq is spreading out. They used to get a few dui stops, traffic stops, occasional domestic call, maybe a bar fight once in a while. The punks are stepping up their game. Just busted a drug dealer selling heroin from his house a block away from me.
As soon as i get my house back together from some water damage, its going up for sale. Packing up the wife and my dogs and moving south. And so are alot of other people i know. Illinois sucks and people have figured it out. Used to be a decent place to live but the libs have ruined it.

  5. avatar Hannibal says:

Those darn guns going around shooting people. If only they were passive and forced to do bad acts by outside forces so we wouldn’t have to blame them.

…you know, like how criminals are never to blame for their actions.

  6. avatar jwm says:

Tell me again how much training we need to overcome these master henchmen?

    1. avatar Red in CO says:

Well, you k’now, guns are hard to use, K? That’s why only the police should have them, because they shoot maybe a hundred rounds a year at a paper target on a square range. If you’re not one of those elite few, then you can’t possibly overcome a criminal. Every teenage gang-banger or junkie looking for a fix is actually a 10 year veteran of the SAS. Why are you laughing at me? That’s not nice! I’ll have you know I have 11 followers on SnapChat and they will all back me up when I tell them how mean you are, you big stupid-head meanie!

(I’m going to do an experiment and not put a /sarc tag on here. Who’s gonna be the one to jump in and seriously refute every “point” listed, totally missing the sarcasm?)

  7. avatar Ralph says:

Ya see, this is why I keep my guns locked up — so they can’t be active in my neighborhood.

    1. avatar Bob says:

Which is why I’m so happy that some nice fellows decided to keep a constant watch on these scary “assault weapons” to keep them from harming all of us.

    2. avatar Tom in Oregon says:

I let mine roam the house during the day when I’m not home. Kinda like a guard dog, but more bark.

      1. avatar anonymoose says:

Put a muzzle brake on a 7.5″ AR pistol and strap it to a Roomba. Bam! Perfect robot guard dog.

      2. avatar Geoff PR says:

“Kinda like a guard dog, but more bark.”

A very short, angry bark, immediately followed by kinetic impact…

  8. avatar AFGus says:

Guns are active in this area…..Hmmmmm

As opposed to guns that just sit around slumming and don’t do anything? Now..if we could just get “all” guns to cooperate and not allow themselves to be “active”. Yep…stupid is as stupid does.

  9. avatar anonymoose says:

And now for something funny: my dad is representing a guy who went with a group of friends to buy some weed. One of the “friends” decided to rob their drug dealer, and when my dad’s client tried to flee, his “friend” shot him in the ass. Now he’s got a bullet in his butt and an armed robbery charge.

    1. avatar ironicatbest says:

Poor guy, not the client, your dad.

    2. avatar Hannibal says:

      That’s his story huh?

  10. avatar Matt in NorCal says:

Apparently Skynet has become aware, and has activated all the guns in this neighborhood. Hopefully all the guns elsewhere are still inactive, getting fat, sitting on the couch, watching reruns of Married with Children.

    1. avatar Rusty Chains says:

Wow, yours are active and motivated! Hell, mine don’t even bother to change the channel, much less clean themselves. Mine are so lazy they would just lie there and rust if I didn’t get them up and oil them occasionally; lazy things!

Always fun to mock the lefties.

      1. avatar MyName says:

I know, right. I opened the safe yesterday I’d I’m pretty sure none of mine had even moved. Talk about lazy.

  11. avatar ironicatbest says:

Chicago Robber Shoots and Kills His Accomplice:, Yeah that happens a lot.

  12. avatar kap says:

it will be like this until men decide to get a pair of co hones and defy the women and nanny state that do not want to let us do for ourselves,
MoLon Labe Non Sibbi Sed Patraie

  13. avatar Aaron M. Walker says:

There’s a lot of speeding in my neighborhood…Because there are a lot of “ACTIVE MOTOR 🚗 VEHICLES ” operating in my area…..

  14. avatar GS650G says:

I have to admit the active guns line is a new one. Absolves the illegal aliens and democrats from responsibility for shooting people.
