New(ish) From Stag Arms: Stag 10 .308/6.5 Creedmoor AR-10 Rifle

Jumping on the increasingly popular 6.5 Creedmoor long distance/precision shooting bandwagon, Stag Arms announced their Stag 10 rifles chambered in both 6.5 and .308 back in May at NRA. They’re even making left-handed models for you southpaws. Well, the rifle is now shipping. Here’s their press release.

New Britain, CT – Stag Arms announces that the new Stag 10 6.5 Creedmoor is now available, with the Stag 10 (6.5 Creedmoor/.308 Winchester) left-handed models available for pre-order. The Stag 6.5 Creedmoor was first introduced at the 2017 NRA Annual Meeting in Atlanta, GA.

The rifles feature a 22” 416R Stainless Steel barrel chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor with a 1/8 twist for long-range accuracy. The Stag 10 series features a Stag slant cut and includes uniquely designed parts for the lower to guarantee the best fit between receivers. The remainder of the rifle is designed to utilize the DPMS platform for maximum compatibility.

Stag Arms, known for being the first left-handed AR15 manufacturer, has also created their first left-handed AR10 platform. Available in both 6.5 Creedmoor and .308 Winchester, the Stag 10 series offers consumers the choice to shoot without compromising comfort, and enhancing the shooters natural position.

“Ever since we announced the Stag 10 series, we’ve received an overwhelming response as to when these would be available and whether they would be offered in our famous left-hand configurations. We are very excited to release the 6.5 Creedmoor to the market today, while simultaneously launching our Stag 10 .308 left-handed models,” said Stag Arms Marketing Manager Christopher Berlinski.

The Stag 10 6.5 Creedmoor can be purchased at www.stagarms.com. These models are currently on sale, while all of Stag Arms’ non-sale items receive 20% off for the Stag Arms Independence Day Sale. FFL dealers that are interested in Stag products may contact sales@stagarms.com to receive dealer information.

I have a Stag AR that I got from a relative very inexpensive. I am left eye dominant and it is RH. I shoot it LH. The first firearm that I acquired that is not a family “tame the west” era hand down is a Savage 7mm (rem mag). Probably keep this over the 6.5 creedmoor for long range punch.

    MSRP?

this looks like a variation on the Aero Precision M5 line of products, and considering Stags purchase by white wolf captial (owners of Aero, VG6 and Ballistic advantage) makes total sense

  4. avatar Rimfire says:

Not seeing the weight of these anywhere. Are they as light and handy as the POF models in .308 and 6.5 at 6 1/2 lbs?

    1. avatar bobinmi says:

The lightest AR-10 I could find on POF’s website was 7.4lbs. I could obviously be missing something

I’ll be purchasing the left-handed version as soon as they get to my dealer, maybe I’ll do a reader review for the next contest.

  6. I just got a Stag-10S in for review yesterday. Good looking rifle, beefy built in all the right places.

Another Stag rifle that I will never see on the shelves of a LGS. They must have a seriously f’ed up dealer program. Out of about a dozen LGS’s within 60 miles of my homebase there is not 1 that will carry Stag Arms rifles. I don’t know why but the absence of their products speaks volumes.
