Usually SHOT Show takes the cake for new product releases, but DoubleStar isn’t holding back at this year’s NRA Annual Meetings. In the two press releases below we get the deets on four new products plus a completely new rifle in 300 BLK. I love the ARFX stock, by the way . . .

DoubleStar Debuts Four New Products at NRA Annual Meeting and Exhibits
The ARFX V2, the Big Timber Brake, the C39 Receiver Block and the C39 V2 Receiver Block will be on display at Booth #1110.

Winchester, Ky. (April 2017) – DoubleStar Corp, manufacturers of high-quality, US-made AR components, rifles and pistols, will be debuting four new products at the 2017 NRA Annual Meeting and Exhibits, being held in Atlanta, Georgia, April 27 – 30, 2017. These new products include the ARFX V2, the Big Timber Brake (BTB), the C39 Receiver Block and the C39 V2 Receiver Block. DoubleStar will be exhibiting at Booth #1110.

The hard coat anodized ARFX V2 is a revised version of the popular original ARFX with seven QD sling points for the perfect sling configurations. There is no need for a threaded sling adapter as a standard push-button QD sling mount makes this skeleton stock ready for any sling, including single-point, two-point and three-point slings. Made from 7075 T6 aluminum and utilizing a standard rifle buffer tube make the ARFX V2 a lightweight (11.3 oz.) yet durable replacement for an original rifle stock. The stock measures 10” without a recoil pad but does include a ½” rubber recoil pad which aids in softening recoil and gripping the shooter’s shoulder. The stock can also be built without the pad or with a 1” recoil pad for those needing a slightly longer length of pull. The included closed cell foam overtube makes the ARFX V2 comfortable to shoot in any weather condition. MSRP $113.99.

Weighing in at 4.8 oz. and measuring 3” in length, the black nitride coated steel Big Timber Brake was designed to not only be an outstanding muzzle control device but also to eliminate the gap between 15” handguards and 16” barrels. The BTB is counterbored .75” allowing the brake to slide over lightweight and HBAR sized barrels, giving the shooter’s rifle a smooth, clean appearance while virtually eliminating muzzle rise. The BTB is available in ½ x 28 tpi and 5/8 x 24 tpi allowing it to fit on most AR platform barrels. MSRP $99.99.

The C39 Receiver Block and C39 V2 Receiver Block have been added to the Ace Limited line of products. Made from 7075 T6 aluminum and hard coat anodized, the C39 Receiver Block will allow the shooter to mount any Ace Folding Mechanism and/or stock to a Century Arms C39 rifle, while the C39 V2 Receiver Block will do the same for a Century Arms C39V2 rifle. Multiple lengths and variations of stocks and folders are available from Ace and all are modular, creating endless options. MSRP for each receiver is $49.99.

DoubleStar Unveiling New ARC 300 Rifle at NRA Annual Meeting and Events
The lightweight and rugged rifle in .300 BLK was designed to hunt everything and go anywhere.

Winchester, Ky. (April 2017) – DoubleStar Corp, manufacturers of high-quality, US-made AR components, rifles and pistols, will be unveiling its new ARC 300 rifle at the 2017 NRA Annual Meeting and Events, to be held in Atlanta Georgia April 27 – 30, 2017. DoubleStar will be at Booth #1110.

“Our ARC (Always Ready Carbine) rifle was so popular in 5.56 we wanted to design a .300 Blackout version with some updated features. This rifle has been designed to hunt everything and to be tough and lightweight enough to go anywhere you go,” said Nick Collier, director of special operations for DoubleStar.

In addition to being lightweight and rugged, the ARC 300 is as reliable as death and taxes, and is ready to eat any supersonic or subsonic load thrown its way. In testing the rifle, DoubleStar fed it every commercially available bullet on the market and they all ran flawlessly. The upper and lower receiver are standard DoubleStar forged 7075 T6 components with MP batch tested bolts. The fire control group are also standard forged internals. The ARC 300 was designed with a pistol length gas system, keeping the hottest part of the barrel away from the shooter’s hands so that it can be fired rapidly and accurately without becoming uncomfortable to shoot.
In designing the rifle, keeping weight to a minimum was a guiding principle. The rifle uses a 16” lightweight barrel, as well as the lightweight Samson 15” SX rail in MLOK, and finally the minimalist Mortar Plate buttstock. The Mortar Plate will also accept a ½” or 1” recoil pad offered by Ace Limited. An additional collapsible DS4 stock is included in the package in case the shooter prefers an adjustable stock over the Mortar Plate buttstock. On the other end of the rifle is DoubleStar’s new Big Timber Brake. The Big Timber Brake was designed to not only reduce muzzle rise, but to eliminate the gap between 15” handguards and 16” barrels. Using a ¾” counterbore, the brake threads over the barrel sitting just inside the 15” SX handguard to give it a seamless look while keeping the muzzle on target.

All components used in the ARC 300 are made in the USA. The lightweight and rugged ARC 300 is at home anywhere the lights of the city can’t be seen and the only sounds that can be heard are the rustling of the trees and the whisper of suppressed .300 BLK. Take it with you.

5 Responses to New From DoubleStar: Stocks, Brakes, Rifles, and More

  1. These guys make the coolest shit. I’m not sure about that muzzle brake, but I have and love their skeleton stock on my scoped AR. Perfect LOP and weight for my size.

And I find that weird minimalist butt plate to be strangely irresistible…

    • I WANT one of each of their blades. That weird looking spartan sword and the modified kukri. $575 each is a bit out of my way for a blade though…they do make really interesting things.

  2. I’m tempted to grab the C39 block and an ACE stock but the math works out to half the price of a new AK so I’ll probably end up with a new AK.

    • new ak for $400?

if i had one of these rifles i could hunt everything, go anywhere, and feed it every commercially available bullet on the market that will all run flawlessly.
      ever. at all.

      • Unless I’m looking at the wrong stocks ACE stock sets run $220-nearly $300. +$50 for the block and I’m sitting around a $600 AK price. WASR’s and PAP’s abounds for $600.

Even at the lowest of balls putting $200+ into getting a new stock on a C39 doesn’t strike me as the most rational thing in the world.

        Wanna trade a C39 for a WASR?
