Everyday Carry Pocket Dump of the Day – Jeff

Jeff, cryptically, tells us that he works in government. And that these are his two favorite firearms, a couple of Springfield’s finest. See what else he carries at Everyday Carry . . .

Though I don’t know what personal range day EDC means (except that he doesn’t carry it every day), I like the KA-BAR much better than the pixie knives we usually see in these photos.

    1. avatar Malcolm says:

Thank you Sir, I now have a new category of knives to collect.

      Pixie knives…

      Oh joy.

      1. avatar ActionPhysicalMan says:

Yeah, that KA-BAR is about the smallest thing I would call a knife. We eat with scalpels;-) Actually, I am a sword and polearm enthusiast, so that probably colors my opinion of blades less than a pound in weight and eight inches in length. The USMC Mark 2 combat knife and the Fairbairn–Sykes get an exception because everyone who has used those in combat could beat be up with a just a dirty look:-)

    Pocket dump?

    Dude’s got some big pockets. Where’s the 8.5″ x 11″ field notes?

    1. avatar ActionPhysicalMan says:

I think it is TTAG that calls it a ‘pocket dump’, not the everydaycarry site or the submitters.

  3. avatar Leo says:

So no sheath on the knife right sure. Read his comment that KNIFE ” No daily carry. Just for esthetic” really i can put a Thomson 1927 in photo and it would look great but submitting as pocket dump everyday carry is dishonest

    1. avatar Geoff PR says:

“So no sheath on the knife right sure.”

      Pffffffpt.

Real men carry a knife like that ‘pirate style’, in their *teeth*…

    2. avatar Bob says:

      +500……..Walter Mitty rides again!!!!!

  4. avatar CalGunsMD says:

    These are just getting ridiculous.

  5. avatar S.CROCK says:

“Pocket dump” seriously either re name this series or show some actual pocket dumps.

    1. avatar Hello World says:

Been saying this for a long time. No one carry all this crap in their “pockets”

    2. avatar Cliff H says:

A long time ago I recommended a change to “Every Day Carry and Pocket Dump of the Day”. Crickets.

As for the Kabar – must have Kevlar lined pockets.

  6. avatar Missouri Mule says:

Zebra F-701 Ya baby! Tactical ball point pen, got one.

  7. avatar John Thomas says:

i generally ignore this feature, because i dont get the point, but the “i work for the government” business plus the kabar is hilarious. i think im going to do one now, with my matching gold desert eagles and an umbrella/sword, and a RealSpy disguise kit.

    1. avatar Snake Plisskin says:

      Don’t forget the mirrored sunglasses….completes the kit….

    2. avatar -Peter says:

“I work for the government” translates loosely to: “I’m a part-time meter maid.”

  8. At least this guy carries something besides a S&W Shield. But I agree that these articles are not very realistic, in most cases.

  9. avatar Larry says:

Pocket dump is of course just a term for stuff we tote around . Most folks realize that wrist watches are worn on wrists and not in pockets , just like full size guns in thumb break holsters are worn on belt .

  10. avatar Hannibal says:

“Jeff, cryptically, tells us that he works in government.”

Mall ninja alert given the items. Or, more likely, TSA screener or some other similar level of ‘government work’

If your knife is bigger than (either one) of your guns, you’re doing it wrong unless you’re an expert knife fighter. And an expert knife-fighter would also have a different knife.

  11. avatar Hank says:

Id like to see some real pocket dumps… You know, spare change, lint, couple condoms, half eaten cheeseburger from McDonald’s wrapped in the paper. Maybe some prescription meds.

    1. avatar jwm says:

      Or non prescription meds.

  12. avatar Joe Liberty says:

Surefire 6p incandescent, huh? Yeah a lot of old timers carry those.

    1. avatar Swarf says:

      Incandescent flashlight? Still? Wow.

Excellent choice in firearms, Mr. Edison.

  13. avatar smash says:
