According to wikipedia.org, Cameron Ezike Giles, “better known by his stage name Cam’ron (formerly Killa Cam), is an American rapper, actor and entrepreneur from Harlem, New York. He is the de facto leader of East Coast hip hop groups The Diplomats (also known as Dipset), and U.N. (Us Now).” So now you know. What you also know . . .

is that Mr. Giles is an idiot. Whether or not a gun’s real, flashing a firearm in a vehicle whilst driving in public is an invitation to law enforcement-related disaster– regardless of your skin color or the orientation of your baseball cap. Putting your finger on the trigger is icing on the possibility of being iced. All of which makes Mr. Giles TTAG’s Irresponsible Gun Owner of the Day.

Note: I understand that [most] rap songs are a legitimate form of protest music. When rap artists flash gats in videos…sure, why not? But rappers — like all gun-owning Americans — should take responsibility for safe gun handling in real life. Did I just write that? I suppose I did.

  1. Point a gun at other people on the road like this rapper did and, most places, you’ll earn a free ticket to the county jail. Way stupid!

  2. His friend is clearly disturbed by what he is doing and at the end he is likely telling his to cease his stupidity.

  3. If he gets shot by the fuzz at some point this video will get no play and he’ll be said to have been an artist that dindu nothin…

  4. The safety cucks a cometh. Just a video gents. Cucking after the fact isn’t going to change thug behavior.

  5. “He is the de facto leader of East Coast hip hop groups The Diplomats (also known as Dipset),”

    Don’t you mean “dipshit”

    • +10000. I think there is an argument to be made that an assessment of what people put on the internet is of much more value than an IQ test.

  6. every time I (completely accidentally and unintentionally) stumble my way into viewing
a thug rapper video I always feel like there is probably a civil war coming.

  7. Not to be a contrarian here, and the production quality would suggest otherwise, but how do we know that this video wasn’t pre-approved and permitted through all the proper channels?

I’m not saying it was. I’m just pointing out that entertainment folks often do things that would be outrageous were they not pre-approved and permitted. For example South Figueroa Street, downtown LA probably isn’t the best place to have a massive fake shootout unless the proper authorities have been informed. Gun porn to follow…

  8. While it’s fun to mock the video and you tube comments, never forget that black America is dumpster fire because of white people… or something.

  9. These videos are fantasies, just as many of Hollywood movies(and other country’s as well) are. This is his fantasy getting over on some type of person he doesn’t like. Asking for responsable gun use by these people won’t fly, because the audiance wants blood and tough guys. Tough guys do the deed rather than trying to find another way.
