For Sale: AK-47, “Battlefield Pickup” Furniture, Only Slightly Posessed

Listing a gun for sale can be a hassle. Figuring out how to make your firearm stand out among all the other copies available is a tough nut these days, since the advent of the internet means that you’re now competing against pretty much everyone else in the United States. Some people price their guns well under market value to get them to move, others try to make their guns seem “one of a kind” to distinguish them from the rest of the pack. In all my years online I thought I had seen it all … until I stumbled across someone using demonic possession as a selling point . . .

From the Armslist listing:

I BOUGHT WASR AND INSTALLED SOME BALKAN WAR USED STOCJ ON IT. I HAVE SINCE THEM BEEN HAUNTED BY STRANGE HAPPENINGS AROUND ME. ME AN MY PASTER DECIDED IT WAS THE SPIRIT OF A DEAD SOLDIER FROM THE YUGOSLAV CIVIL WAR LOOMING FOR REVENGE. I DECIDED IT IS BEST TO SELL OFF THIS GUN.

I MUST NOT BE HOLD RESPONSIBLE IF ANYTHING HAPPEBS TO THE BUYER.

$800 OBO.

The Democrat Party seems to think that firearms are the tools of the devil and that all guns are evil, but that’s just kooky talk. Or is it?

It must be purged. With thousands of rounds sent down range at steel. I volunteer.

    1. avatar Geoff PR says:

      “It must be purged.”

      A good cleansing fire.

A few hundred 30 round mag dumps should do it…

LORD save your servant. . .

  4. avatar alexander says:

The government should confiscate and destroy it immediately. This gun is liable to shoot up the next school!

    1. avatar Big Jim says:

No I think you have that wrong I think President Obama’s fast and furious guns will most likely be the ones you’re thinking of Lol.

      1. avatar alexander says:

Capitalizing “president” in this case is not necessary.

        1. avatar Dustin says:

          In fact, it’s an insult.

  5. avatar JAlan says:

This is why I have all my AKs blessed by a priest.

    1. avatar alexander says:

I’ve heard that all AK’s are automatically blessed by an imam. There’s a fatwa for that…

  6. avatar Tex300BLK says:

Did the demons also cause someone who is presumably over the age of 18 to start writing like a 1st grader?

    1. avatar Another Robert says:

just a guess, but maybe English isn’t his “first” language?

      1. avatar int19h says:

It’s actually not all that hard to distinguish an illiterate native English speaker from a non-native speaker. Native speakers tend to make mistakes about spelling the words the way they hear them (e.g. “paster” in this case, or “its” vs “it’s”, “here” vs “hear” etc), because they learn to speak before they learn to write, and pronunciation is primary for them.

On the other hand, non-native speakers usually learn both at the same time, or learn to write first, and so they would usually make the reverse mistake (i.e. speak the word the way they expect it to sound based on how it’s written). If all you have to go by is writing, then look for improper use of verbs “be” and “have”, especially in relation to tenses.

Basically, native speakers usually mess up the spelling, while non-native speakers usually mess up the grammar.

It also works for languages other than English, at least European ones.

        1. avatar tmm says:

I wonder how much spelling/grammar errors are attributable to all that spell check “help.”

You almost made me pull out my MASM book.

  7. avatar Sian says:

800 is pretty steep for a WASR isn’t it?

    1. avatar Corodon says:

Maybe you can talk him down to $666.

      1. avatar K-Bizz says:

        You win the Internet today.

      2. avatar Ing says:

        That’s a little more like it. 🙂

      6. avatar sagebrushracer says:

  8. avatar Vitsaus says:

I’m surprised you don’t hear more about haunted guns. Just think about all the Nazi Mausers that came to the US market, Makarovs, Spanish Civil War rifles and pistols, Lugers.. I mean a lot of guns from certain periods probably have some pretty sinister stories to them. I’ve got a Springfield ’03 thats got Tally marks in the stock, and a K98K with the same. Maybe while the pope’s visiting he can bless some of these haunted weapons.

    1. avatar Milsurp Collector says:

I can one-up you on the tally marks. Met a guy years ago who bought a Chinese Type 53 Mosin with a 5.56 round lodged in the stock. Saw pictures of another guy whose Russian capture K98k had a bunch of dents up and down one side. Out of sheer curiosity he took his M91/30 bayonet and wedged it in a few of the dents. It fit perfectly *shudders*. My own G98/40 has shrapnel damage and the proverbial “blood pitting” around where the shooting hand grips the stock.

    2. avatar YaDaddy says:

Don’t forget the other reason that you don’t hear about haunted guns more:

THERE ARE NO SUCH THINGS AS GHOSTS!!!

They’re not real as in people are just fooling themselves. Something people are really good at.

      1. avatar Vitsaus says:

I’m not a religious person, but I’ve seen some pretty strange things in my time, and not been the only one where to see them. I have to disagree with you here.

  9. avatar JT says:

That sounds like it was written by a Nigerian Prince.

  10. avatar Roymond says:

Lubricate it with holy anointing oil, and all will be well.

  11. avatar Benzo says:

I shot one of these for the first time this past weekend. It’s a combination of harder-hitting recoil than a 44 magnum with the accuracy of a snub-nosed revolver at 100 yards. IMHO, they might ALL be possessed.

  12. avatar ANdrew Lias says:

Yeah, but is it 922R compliant?

  13. avatar YaDaddy says:

I’ve got some Finnish 1891s with kill marks scratched into the stocks.

Late at night when the lights are off, I swear I hear them saying “Ooops, another dead Russkie, HA HA HA HA!!!”

They say it in English, so I’m not too sure if it’s legit.

    1. avatar Dustin says:

      You win the Internet.

      1. avatar YaDaddy says:

        FINALLY!!!

        Calling mom to tell her.

    2. avatar Powers says:

How do you say OOPS in Finnish..since you heard it in english..or did you..?

    3. avatar Roger says:

On a cold winter night last December, my shepherd, Hakkaa Päälle, sat up and stared at the surplus Finnish M39 resting in a place of honor on the fireplace mantel. If I listened carefully, I could hear the rifle faintly whispering, “Tulta munille…tulta munille…”

      1. avatar utdmatt says:

You’ve been reading the Grantville 1632 series books.

  14. avatar Lance says:

Easy pro-gun Christian solution to demons have a exercisume of the stock. Sorry anti gunner scum we can have was to remove demons from a item.

    1. avatar WRH says:

You write as well as the seller of this item…

  15. avatar Ralph says:

I think his keyboard is possessed too.

  16. avatar James R says:

now THATS a “ghost gun” Kevin de Leon…

    1. avatar Powers says:

Exactly what I was thinking..maybe someone should share with him the link so he can get all the data points he needs..
      To ban “poltergeist guns”.

  17. avatar Slick says:

My SKS goes on drinking binges of vodka, muttering nasty things about Kalashnikov’s mother in Russian.

They told me SKS’s were cheap. They never told me about the massive booze bill and deep seated emotional issues. It keeps crying out cosmoline and the AR 15 is starting to get annoyed.

  18. avatar Shane says:

I hope he uses the proceeds for some remedial grammar lessons.

    1. avatar James Acerra says:

Or a keyboard that does not stick! But $800 for a WASR with different furniture? NOWWW if some gentlemen or gentlelady had returned with their seabag a little heavier than when they shipped out! Or they sent themselves a few UPS packages and the list goes on…with the paperwork to go with it from a lovely dry terrain Mid Eastern Region or an South Asian location with lovely vistas over hardscrabble land and vertical valleys again with said paperwork…then the numbers would be more realistic. But a piece with retro fitted (even haunted) wood that looks like your dog dug it up for a chew toy is just a person looking for that “sucker born every minute” person or the woefully uninformed buyer.
But do not forget that some people answer Sheikh Iam-ibn-Dumb Wass looking to offload that lovely 12th Century “Junkar” .70 cal Elephant Howdah Pistol, With mother of pearl inlays and gold colored wire inlaid scroll work from Darah Pakistan (sorta).
But hope springs eternal that this intrepid but limited typist may strike gold.
And remember who has not made a typo or gone dyslexic jsut when you finish that page long reply and post without proofing, there you are!!!
      Rest in Peace Yogi Berra.
      Yours in service James Acerra

  19. If it is a war weapon it may be full auto and someone needs to be careful. However; The 2nd Amendment was put into the Constitution so the people could protect themselves from a corrupt government. That is why it says “shall not infringe” so we can have what the government has to prevent a Holocaust. I believe the people should have what the government has including machine guns. The only gun control law there should be is that criminals can’t have any firearms. Thanks for your vote, pass the word. mrpresident2016.com
