Obama Orders Gun Confiscation. In A Cartoon.

Yes, it’s an anti-gun cartoon. But this episode of Cyanide & Happiness is fun! And there’s some pro-gun stuff in there as well; like the chaos that ensues when the world’s firearms are removed by the President’s gun magnet. Anyway, in their business as in ours, you don’t cut funny.

Still a better superhero movie that batman and robin.

    1. avatar Bill Baker says:

Still a better love story than twilight.

  2. avatar Mark says:

    I ain’t even mad.

  3. avatar Tom in Oregon says:

    That was pretty funny!

    1. I LOL at the Heston joke.

        yep, I did too.

  4. avatar Alex in IL says:

Dang, you guys are quick. I just watched this, and I think it’s hilarious. Not that I would put it past him if he had a large balloon with a magnet on it. Which he’s probably working on.

  5. avatar Marcus (Aurelius) Payne says:

Cyanide and happiness is usually awesome. Absolutely twisted humor.

  6. avatar Scrubula says:

I kinda wish they didn’t make it political. Political humor is probably the easiest way to alienate your audience (even if it’s balanced).

    1. avatar B says:

It had to be political or it wouldn’t make sense. I personally find it encouraging that media is now finding Obama to be the low hanging fruit comedy punching bag wise instead of infallible Prog Jesus.

I like Cyanide and Happiness, and think that they’re consistently funny. This didn’t even make me chuckle once, though.
Are there any conservative-leaning, young, funny, artists and entertainers out there, or is it that they just don’t get published?

      Chris Muir

    2. avatar Grindstone says:

In the age of the Internet, there is nothing that just “doesn’t get published” unless the creator doesn’t publish it their self.

    3. avatar Lurker_of_Lurkiness says:

Conservatives are probably too busy learning engineering and science.

  8. avatar Gwen Patton says:

It could have been worse. It could have been Catwoman.

  9. avatar Glenn in USA says:

Lamest cartoon I have ever seen.

  10. avatar Out_Fang_Thief says:

If you’re an adolescent, liberal thumb-sucker, is this what you think passes as funny?

The bigger and more important question is, why is this crap here on TTAG? Slow day?

    1. avatar Grindstone says:

“This does not appeal to me therefore I must insult those to whom it does to make myself feel better”

    2. avatar RockOnHellChild says:

I bet you were the kid in school who reminded to teacher she forgot to give out homework… Thanks, Debbie Downer.

      1. avatar Chris T from KY says:

I remember someone actually doing that in HS. We were almost scott free.

  11. avatar Oddux says:

It was fairly heavy handed, though I suppose subtlety is not C&H’s style. Even so, it had some funny moments.

  12. avatar RockOnHellChild says:

I don’t care what all the wet blankets say, that sh*t was funny.

  13. avatar Jared says:

i thought it was great. i loved the star spangled bastard. he was awesome.
the “eagle” was pretty great too!

sure it was a little “political”, but get ooooover it. it was a joke. sheeeeeeeesh.

  14. avatar Another Robert says:

Seems to me there was enough, well, ammo in that for either side to use against the other. I did get a chuckle out of Heston’s cold dead hands. But I actually got more of a laugh out of ROHC’s “Debbie Downer” post. I’m just too old-school I guess.

  15. avatar Anon says:

Let’s see here, without guns, the good guys were unable to protect themselves and stop the criminals.
Guns don’t kill people, as you can see the people still ended up beating each other with sticks.
The giant muscular guy was able to bully the weaker Star-Spangled bastard into submission without guns.
    War still happens.
Anti-gunners don’t know about guns and ND into themselves.
Barack Obama’s secret plan is to take away all the guns.

This is actually pretty balanced if you ask me.

  16. avatar BDub says:

You have a fluid interpretation of “pro-gun stuff”.
