Hey Sharp Shots! I’m Kirsten Joy Weiss. I’m the official spokesperson for the Texas International Firearms Festival, November 8 and 9 at Best of the West Shooting Sports in Austin, Texas. I first shot a rifle when I was knee-high to a grasshopper (Lebanon County, PA grasshoppers were very scared). I began shooting competitively at 16, starting with .22 smallbore and air rifle. I won bowls and bowls of medals (including a gold medal in smallbore at the International Junior Match in Bisley, England) . . .

I attended University of Nebraska Lincoln on a rifle scholarship where I won All-American in smallbore three years in a row and led the Cornhuskers to a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Championships. I was named Second-Team All-American and competed on the Olympic National Development Team, including the 2006 World Championships in Zagreb, Croatia. And now I’m making YouTube videos and promoting TIFF. Click here for tickets and I’ll see you there!
