Moms Demand Action Issues Death Threat to Pro-Gun Pols

(courtesy cafepress.com)

Click bait? In my defense, the Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America sticker (also available from cafepress.com as a T-shirt, tote bag, etc.) clearly indicates a double meaning. We can take you out. Know what I mean, wink, wink, nudge, nudge? And if gun grabbers can have a major hissy fit when Sarah Palin’s Facebook page put crosshairs on a map to indicate politically vulnerable candidates,  we can have a major pretend hissy fit over this. More than that, the incendiary image betrays Shannon Watts’ unbridled animus towards, well, everyone. Not to put too fine a point on it, this is some nasty sh*t. Especially from a former PR maven. Perhaps it indicates a feeling that they’re embattled and losing. Here’s hoping.

Sounds like they want a war. OK, then.

    1. avatar pwrserge says:

I say bring it. The only thing I would feel if they decided to push it to that point would be recoil.

    2. avatar Frank Masotti says:

And if they do they will loose. 🙂

  2. avatar MiniMe says:

Hypocrites. They’re all about “peace & understanding” until they don’t get their way.

    Geez.

    1. avatar Jake Tallman says:

Exactly. Liberals like to lie to themselves, pretending that they are, like you said, all about peace and understanding, until they don’t get their way, when they show their true colors.

  3. avatar Xanthro says:

She’s not winking, she’s left eye dominate.

    1. avatar Gene says:

Not sure about that. I’m wondering if it’s some sort of secret message from Shannon to Dirk.

  4. avatar Another Robert says:

You do realize, of course, that those Palin “crosshairs” are actually surveyor’s/engineer’s marks that are routinely found on blueprints and real estate plats and such? I mean really, do those things look like a real rifle-scope image? More to the present point, tho–can you imagine what the outcry would be if the NRA referenced gun owners “taking out” politicians?

    1. avatar Jus Bill says:

Oh the hue and cry and rending of garments! Especially from that Bloomberg-funded coven of jackals and ghouls.

Maybe he’s being distracted by his new UN appointment as Master of the World’s Cities.

  5. avatar Delbert Grady says:

Whatever. Seems like these nitwits are getting way too much credit for their influence.

    1. avatar Jus Bill says:

      Influence? More like flatulence.

  6. avatar Jack says:

She must be a fan of The Cosby Show.

  7. avatar Mina says:

I tweeted to them that I hoped the backs of the Tshirts had targets on them, then realized that might not go the way I wanted and deleted it.

There is a joke/play in there somewhere. Maybe someone smarter than me and figure it out.

    1. avatar Old Ben turning in grave says:

That’s the right general approach. If anyone makes an issue of this, it should be done in a mocking way rather than with any kind of outrage (feigned or otherwise)

      1. avatar Mina says:

I am more of the blunt object model. Need someone with a bit more finesse than myself to plant this one I think.

  8. avatar LongBeach says:

Take them out? Better start practicing your voter fraud, moms, it’s the only way you’re going to get into double-digits at the polls. I’m practically shaking in my GLOCK-brand undies.

  9. avatar CA.Ben says:

I’ll bet that if TTAG started selling bumper stickers, MDA would not report on it. Stop making them bigger than they are.

    1. avatar Robert Farago says:

      Saul Alinksy. Rule 13.

      1. avatar Mina says:

“Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”

        That’s right.

These are not just women who truly are fearful of guns with innate irrationality.

These are calculating women, women of the Leftist mentality and they are the worst kind of enemy as they have all of the great successful tools that Feminism has developed over the past 20+ years to apply to this fight.

They are to be feared and fought with everything we have. I can assure you if you are not keyed into how Feminism has taken over our country and instilled the Left’s political correctness into all of our instituations: Education, the Media, the Government, Corporate Governance you have no idea what you are dealing with.

Feminism is a vehicle for Socialism. They don’t just want your guns. They want your freedom and your balls. And they have a done a pretty darn good job up until now at getting both of them under their control already.

The gun men and the MRAs are the only two groups left standing and fighting them.

        1. avatar BDub says:

          correction: they are womAn…singular.

        2. avatar Mina says:

Well there does seem to be one head and many bodies. True.

    2. avatar Another Robert says:

I’ll bet if TTAG or any other 2A rights group printed a bumper sticker referencing “taking out” anybody, MDA would indeed report it–and so would just about every other mainstream news outlet.

      1. avatar Mina says:

That is exactly right. Because it’s ok and the MDA get a pass when they do it because all of the institutions are on their side.

However: they hold a different, better and UNATTAINABLE set of rules for us. Rules that are easy to break, that at times we don’t even know are there (have you heard of “dog whistles” yet?)

One of Saul Alinsky’s rules that we need to follow is this one: MAKE THE ENEMY LIVE BY THEIR OWN SET OF RULES.

So what we should do is call them on on their little threat of violence and broadcast it far and wide.

      2. avatar ropingdown says:

Forget the threat. If any gun rights group dared to portray women with a 1950’s coiffure and only their lips with color, the reaction would be overwhelming rage. And yet I suspect the drawing expresses something in Shannon’s psychology, a wish of sorts. Seriously, she needs to be taken in hand by somebody who can let her express, if only occasionally,, that inner fifties wife role desire. I really think it would help, and she would be happier.

        1. avatar Another Robert says:

I gather Dirk is available for that…

        2. avatar Mina says:

          I call your dog whistle.

Have you heard of a “taken in hand” marriage?

LOL – if not, Google it. You’ll laugh your butt off at the joke you made without knowing it!

    3. avatar DisThunder says:

Yup. MDA making bumper stickers? That nobody is going to buy, even out of the 200 MDA members?

Oh, gee. Look at all these f**ks I don’t give.

  10. avatar S.dogood says:

wait are they wanting to assassinate politicians thats what is seems to me by “taking them all out” im gonna have to call the FBI

    1. avatar Jus Bill says:

Not a bad idea. Isn’t there a Tip Line?

  11. avatar Larry says:

Yawn. Just a trite play on the old threat “I brought you into this world and I’ll take out.” The cult of Mommy is really scraping the bottom of the barrel with this one. I say TTAG readers should keep their eyes peeled for anyone actually wearing a shirt or carrying a bag with this print.

    1. avatar Another Robert says:

I kind of agree with you there, I think that “mom” card is getting pretty played out. But then maybe the response to that is to keep after them until it is completely played out

  12. avatar mirgc says:

Let’s have a talk about guns, you parasite! Or, how gun-control advocates engage in an “open discussion” 🙂 Enjoy!

  13. avatar FoRealz? says:

As I’ve said before, the way to deal with annoying chicks is to deprive them of their life support, male attention.

To these bored women, getting 2A people all riled up is the attention fix they need to validate their “mission.” Ignore them. Give them the electronic version of turning your back on them and pretending that their interruption didn’t happen as you carry on your conversion with the other adults.

If your dog pees on the carpet, you don’t reward him, or you’ll get more of the same behavior. These chicks crave attention. Even negative attention. If you “reward” them with it every time they pee on the carpet, so to speak, they are getting what they want.

    1. avatar Mina says:

If this was strictly a Game issue, I’d agree with you. But these are specifically Leftist women whose “femaleness” has been infiltrated by the Saul Alinsky following Socialists.

They need to be treated not as women but as the enemy. Destroyed but any means necessary. No mercy.

    2. avatar Another Robert says:

If my dog pees on the carpet, I don’t ignore him, or he will certainly do it again. I whack him on the behind with a rolled up newspaper or some such to let him know he’s not going to get away with that kind of behavior. Not sure how far we can push that analogy here tho…

      1. avatar Mark N. says:

Don’t give Dirk any ideas he doesn’t already have.

      2. avatar Paul G. says:

Shannon might enjoy that….”thank you, may I have another.”

        1. avatar Mina says:

do you believe it is any coincidence that the 90% demographic for the book “50 shades of Gray” were women just like Shannon R Watts?

frustrated middle aged women who wear the pants don’t generally have great real-life sex lives at home. so they read a book series about a woman surrendering to and completely controlled by a dominating man.

          coincidence? no.

  14. avatar Kevin A. says:

Think about how this looks. A group of primarily men trying to engage a bunch of women who rally behind the word “Mom!” in a massive b!tchfest. There’s nothing good here.

“Don’t argue with an idiot because they’ll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

    1. avatar SysEng says:

I’m amazed by how many people like you that just don’t get it. You people are the reason we have lost so many rights in this country. The same people afraid to call out democrats on their lies and behavior because you don’t want to sound mean or offend the independents. Then you sit back and wonder why we lost the election, again.

Fortunately there are people still around that aren’t cowards and are willing to stand up and fight back. We know our enemy and their tactics and how to counter them. You don’t have to stand with us but don’t sit around telling us how we should be doing things because we have tried your way and it has been nothing but a failure.

      1. avatar Mina says:

Thank you for jumping into the bunker. Or I jumped into the bunker with you.

at any rate, I have your back man.

      2. avatar Kevin A. says:

        Uh….. what?

I didn’t say that we need to lay down and die. I’m saying that this group of people is not worth our collective time or effort. We need to focus on actually promoting gun rights instead of getting mad at an otherwise ineffectual group of harlots with banners.

Tell me, what have you personally done to promote and protect your rights? I’ve spent the last few years getting a degree in political science, and I’ve been working at policy centers and think tanks as a policy analyst. I’ve actually testified before governmental bodies.

And you sit there and type angry comments on the internet.

        1. avatar Mina says:

your time has been well invested but apparently you were mis focused. so sorry.

figthing the Liberal Left is the main game. Nothing else matters.

        2. avatar Kevin A. says:

Yes. Fighting the big guys is important. MDA is small business. Most people don’t have any clue who they are.

Go to a college campus and ask, “Who is MDA? How about MAIG? CSGV?” You won’t get anything but blank stares.

They know who the NRA is. This is both good and bad. The NRA and the SAF needs to start focusing on establishing positive name recognition.

  15. avatar The Pixelated says:

Sounds like Moms Demand & Shannon Watts are talking about political assassination. I wouldn’t put it past those COMMENT MODERATED

  16. avatar Mr. Pierogie says:

If “moms bring all politicians into the world,” does it follow that moms also bring all the criminals into the world? I guess they are 0 for 2.

    1. avatar Mina says:

EXACTLY WHAT WE NEED, great response!!

    2. avatar MiniMe says:

      LOL!

    3. avatar Aaron says:

      A1 response.

And 85% of the men in prison for a 2nd violent offense were raised by a mom without a dad being present in the child’s life so therefore women should not be able to have a child unless she can prove their will be an adult-man father-role model available for her kids.

      1. avatar Mina says:

Find a way to communicate all that in 8 words or less (that’s all a Lib can understand at one time) and you have a 2nd followup.

        Just like shooting pool.

        1. avatar Jus Bill says:

          No dad = No, mom.

  17. avatar Jake Tallman says:

The hypocrisy is incredible, but I’m thrilled with this. Watts is essentially throwing a tantrum because of how little traction her organization has. And this little stunt will only hasten their demise, showing their true colors (anger and violence to get what they want, rather than “reasonable restrictions”) and further alienating the low info voters and fence sitters.

Keep at it Shannon! You’re only hurting yourself (and by extension, helping the POTG).

  18. avatar Aaron says:

Since that pro-Obama, anti-gun, and unqualified MD from India is no longer in the running for US Surgeon General perhaps Obama will now want Shannon girl to be the next Surgeon General.

  19. avatar Fred says:

I think the reaction is a bit unnecessary. This is just another piece of propaganda designed for the average MDA member. They’re trying to convince their own members MDA can do something…anything.

    1. avatar Old Ben turning in grave says:

“They’re trying to convince their own members MDA can do something…”

They are trying to convince their members to buy a bumper sticker. This is fundraising more than propaganda.

      1. avatar Mina says:

I think it’s more about getting their logo out into the mainstream as an accepted meme.

They don’t need to fundraise. Bloomberg has billions.

  20. avatar BWG81 says:

How about TTAG stops reporting on them? I can understand keeping an eye on things, but why continue to give them a spotlight…

    1. avatar mb says:

      I completely agree.

I mean.. all of the posts have been reiterating how the group will be soon fading into the pages of time, right? Why continue beating a dying horse?

    2. avatar DisThunder says:

It’s become a bit of an uncomfortable obsession around here. When they were actually “doing things,” it made sense to keep posted. But this? These are becoming daily posts of “Look what MDA’s NOT doing!”
Contrary to some of the opinions found here, I think WE’RE the only ones keeping them relevant.

    3. avatar Jus Bill says:

I disagree. MDA is a manifestation of mental disorder (OCD, for one example). They must be stopped and disbanded before they follow the path to ruin trod by the Salem Witch Trial instigators and the Prohibitionists, to name two similarly demented proto-Feminist groups.

  21. avatar Fred says:

Achilles rode around Troy displaying Hector. This is in the same vein. Also, TTAG likes the term Schadenfreude.

  22. avatar mirgc says:

Was there any follow-up about the financials of MDA when they were “merged” with MAIG? This seems to deserve at least a backwards glance as a refresher.

    http://bearingarms.com/moms-demand-gives-up-pretense-of-being-anything-other-than-a-maig-front-group/

    1. avatar peirsonb says:

It’ll be a while. It takes a couple of years for NPO tax returns to become public.

  23. avatar BT Justice says:

I say we hijack the image and replace MDA moms with NRA moms or something similar. We have more success than they ever will, considering the Colorado recalls.

    1. avatar Mina says:

There are a few girl gun groups with Mom in their name.

They are not well organized. But I agree with you having a pro-gun Mom group with funding and TShirts and a Twitter presence would be great.

    2. avatar juliesa says:

I would join that in a heartbeat.

  24. avatar Maineuh says:

This doesn’t scare me. I could totally take my mother.

  25. avatar Millie McClave says:

Sounds like a public threat to politicians that are in favor of guns. They should be deemed terrorist and held without release.

    1. avatar Fred says:

Insurrectionists and anarchists the lot of them!

  26. avatar BlinkyPete says:

I see your point, but I reject the Two Wrongs fallacy in all it’s forms. They’re hypocrites, I get it. Just toss that on top of the Mt. Everest sized pile of wrongs attributable to this toxic group, move on and remind them who won the day after election day.

  27. avatar RockOnHellChild says:

There’s constant talk on here, the literal sense, about the best guns, calibers, ammo, gear, techniques, etc. for shooting BGs…

If some T-shirt with a possible double meaning is getting you riled, you should rethink the whole carrying a gun and shooting people business. You may not have the stomach and/or temperament for it.

    1. avatar peirsonb says:

It’s not the message that bugs me, I find it kind of funny. My problem is the hypocrisy in it. Remember that these are the same people that call us bullies….

      1. avatar Mina says:

yet they are not bullying anyone by implying if they don’t get their way they will start killing people.

    2. avatar Jus Bill says:

      It’s about the messenger…

  28. avatar lolinski says:

Isn’t it funny that a pro-disarmament group is making threats to a pro-rights group? It is like a deer attacking a lion for eating meat.

Not advocating violence against them, but I am not afraid of them either (met scarier people).

    1. avatar Mina says:

It isn’t funny if they get away with it.

If they get away with it and we don’t punish them for it, it’s pathetic on us.

  29. avatar Kirk says:

    Retroactive abortions?

  30. avatar Matt in FL says:

“… we can have a major pretend hissy fit over this.”

I prefer to treat them like whiny six-year-olds. Ignore them until they act right.

To each their own, I suppose.

    1. avatar Another Robert says:

Well, I have seen parents throw little pretend hissy fits right back at the whiny kid, just to show them how ridiculous they look. And the kid maybe breaks down in laughter, and mom or dad is then able to teach them something. But you may have a point, not sure the Moms Who Don’t Get Action have the capacity to see how ridiculous they look and learn from it.

      1. avatar Jus Bill says:

Doing that will have no effect on them, because They are Legends in Their Own Minds. They are utterly incapable of understanding us or what we represent.

        And we are men.

        1. avatar Mina says:

          hoorah.

          <3

  31. avatar Paul G. says:

Not just have a fit, point out the hypocrisy of advocating violence against people and for what? For believing in their rights as outlined in the Bill of Rights? That there is anti-murrican as well.

  32. avatar Don says:

The thing about Moms is that they don’t magically become experts on whatever their children become experts on.

  33. avatar Wassim Absood says:

It isn’t about right vs left, it is about right vs wrong.

Sadly, that facts seems to be little observed here of late.

    1. avatar Mina says:

No one on the left is not wrong.

      1. avatar Another Robert says:

LOL!! But seriously, Wassim, I want to know–how indeed does a good leftist (ie collectivist, ie statist) manage to support an individual’s right to bear arms–keeping in mind that leftists recognize, as one of their great heroes put it, that “political power grows out of the barrel of a gun”?

        1. avatar William Burke says:

How does one imagine attacking Wassim (who we know very little about, personally) is a good thing for our cause?

          Oh. I get it now!

  34. avatar Doug says:

This is just typical liberal tactics. I say drop these losers they are not worth space to cover.

  35. avatar Doug says:

The mother of my children and the mother of my granddaughter know what actions are necessary for Mom’s, that is a concealed carry permit and .38 special.

  36. avatar Ontheotherhand says:

Frankly Robert, your beginning to sound a bit paranoid, you need to watch what ou type brother.

  37. avatar Sixpack70 says:

My mom showed me a picture last week of her friend of nearly 40 years. She is a mother and brought two children into this world. In the picture she was holding one of her prize possessions, what she calls her buffalo gun. It was a large lever gun of late 1800s vintage. It put a smile on my face. Shannon Watt’s picture makes me frown.

  38. avatar Hannibal says:

Homer:”I’d kill you if I had my gun!”
Gun Salesman: “Yeah, well, you don’t.”

  39. avatar GetOVerMDA says:

Seriously, TTAG, get over these stupid MDA posts and Watts talk. You are doing more to legitimize them than anything else. Just ignore them. I wouldn’t have known they even existed if it weren’t for you.

    1. avatar Jus Bill says:

Identifying your adversary is the first step on the road to winning.

      Intelligence is the second.

  40. avatar Curtis in IL says:

If I’m Ms. Watts, I dance a happy dance every time TTAG links to my propaganda. External links from popular sites will dramatically improve their search engine rankings.

Ms. Watts should send Mr. Farago a thank you note.

  42. avatar Unapologetic American says:

The imagery associated with the term “take them out” is troubling but it’s NOT the first time the anti-2nd Amendment cabal belonging to “the Left” (Democrats) has stooped to calling for violence against gun owners and their supporters. In fact this is no different than what Rep. Carolyn “My Son Is A Vegetable Because He Didn’t Have A Gun on The LIRR Train” McCarthy (D-NY) said on the day the so-called “Assault Weapons” Ban expired under George W. Bush. The taxpayer financed drool wiper and diaper changer actually appeared “live” on DNCTV (MSNBC) standing on the steps of the U.S. Capitol and pleaded with her minions encouraging them “to ‘take out’ President Bush” due his refusal to cow to her demands on prohibiting firearms she finds offensive to Liberal sensibilities.

  43. avatar michi says:

I love when the Liberals have multiple agendas happening simultaneously that conflict.

the current “big thing” for promoting giiirrrrllll power is #banbossy.
Yes, they want to ban the word “bossy” as it applies to girls.

Yet here is the MDA bossing everyone around.

  44. avatar Matt Richardson says:

Am I the only person that hums Lipstick by Guttermouth every time I see the MDA logo?

  45. avatar rlc2 says:

Well I can appreciate what some say about MDA mockery getting old here at TTAG. If you’ve been around and/ or can resolve facts for yourself you already know they are a front group for Nanny Bloomberg who apparently doesnt mind paying them and I am sure the various StateRunMedia™ memo and meme generators to pass it along. I mean if the Nudge Team doesnt have the facts then they have to be FakeBooked right?

  46. avatar former water walker says:

See March 19 post about claiming victory where none exists. Local TV news mentioned MDA prominently in the BS Slidefire billboard story( in Chicago). TTAG is right to cover Watts & Company. Continuing ridicule is warrented( pretty EZ). They ain’t going away soon.

  47. avatar Excedrine says:

I would purchase said sticker, cut off the bottom-right corner (logo and all), and substitute it with an appropriately-sized American flag.

    Or NRA logo.

    Or SAF logo.

    Or NSSF logo.

    Or NAGR logo.

    Or GOA logo.

    Or.. you get the idea.

Same statement, but the latter is actually defensible.

I have to wonder if they actually sold any stickers? Also, has anyone actually seen one ITW?

C’mon. Don’t be petty. I actually like it in a kind of “We can do it” retro-moxie sense. Doesn’t mean I agree, at all, they’re a horrible, putrid group. But if we freak out over this and even admit we don’t actually care, we’re just being like squabbling children. Let them be the immature ones like they rely on, we should be the bigger ones. We’ll win hands down that way.

Mother Teresa said she’d never attend an anti-war rally, if there’s a peace rally, she ‘d be there. By drawing attention away from dipshit moms and focusing on protecting our 2A rights, we hold a much better stance against anti gun assholes. Not saying they should be ignored. Monitor them without reaction until reaction is required. It could result in a more proactive 2A community, therefore a more productive one.
