“If you ask a legislator who they are scared of … in about four weeks, they will tell you 'a Mom,' not a member of the NRA." Shannon Watts, founder, Moms Demand Action (courtesy momsdemandaction.org)

Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, a grassroots organization of more than 100,000 members, issued the following statement regarding the recall election results in Colorado:

“The gun lobby may have won this local battle, but they will not win the national war. The National Rifle Association purposely called this recall election in Colorado – just a year before the regular election cycle – to ensure voting obstacles and low voter turnout. This reckless desire to remove legislators from office in an off-election year cost Coloradans more than $500,000 – an egregious waste of taxpayer dollars.

From the outset, this recall was designed as a tool of intimidation funded by the gun lobby. What a ridiculous temper tantrum by a bunch of bullies – moms know them when we see them . . .

Fortunately, the recalls do not impact the new gun laws signed into law earlier this year by Gov. Hickenlooper. The Colorado state legislature did the right thing by passing common-sense gun laws, requiring background checks for all gun buyers and limiting magazines to 15 rounds. This recall doesn’t change those laws – laws that will continue to protect Colorado families from senseless gun violence.

As moms, we are sad, angry, and more determined than ever to stand with those who stand for gun sense. There will be dozens, maybe even hundreds of elections next year, and we will organize and vote for lawmakers who support common-sense gun laws like background checks. Moms will stand with those lawmakers who stand with us, and we will not back down until gun laws are strengthened in every state in this nation.

153 Responses to Official Statement: Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense In America Responds to Colorado Recall Election Results

    • It’s not that they ~don’t~ get it, they don’t ~want~ to get it.

They would have to admit there are people (i.e. other citizens) with an opinion different from theirs and that there appear to be more of them than they have.

      Solipsism at its finest.

    • EXACTLY.

It has more to do with the fact that these elected representatives completely ignored the opinions of the people that put them there than it has to do with the specific nature of the laws they passed.

      • Right. I expect that most of the people in Colorado are for unfettered gun ownership for themselves and their well-behaved fellow citizens. These “moms” are the minority, not the majority. The legislators in Colorado began serving an undemocratic special interest when they undertook to pass gun-control laws despite the wishes of the majority of their constituents. Two of those legislators paid the price for their malfeasance by losing their jobs. Now the process of repealing those bad laws must begin, and must continue, until the laws are made right again.

        • I don’t live in Colorado, but I have relatives that do. I hope all these senseless gun laws are repealed. Also the Politicians that keep pushing these gun laws ought to be recalled also. I am a firm believer in Choice. If you don’t want to carry a gun or have one in your house, I respect your wishes. But don’t try to pass laws that I can’t. I would be willing to bet that Trayvon Martin didn’t even think that George Zimmerman was armed, when he ambushed George. If he had, he might still be alive today.

    • You hit the nail on the head Rusty. This organization is completely incapable of accepting the truth.

“The gun lobby may have won this local battle, but they will not win the national war.”

The h*ll we won’t. Millions of law-abiding firearm owners who cherish the RKBA against a few dozen house fraus whose ideals are spoon fed to them by their progressive puppet-masters. Good luck with that.

“The National Rifle Association purposely called this recall election in Colorado – just a year before the regular election cycle – to ensure voting obstacles and low voter turnout.”

LOL shut your pie hole. “One million dummies regurgitating what MAIGs told them to say” should be your new name.

“This reckless desire to remove legislators from office in an off-election year cost Coloradans more than $500,000 – an egregious waste of taxpayer dollars.”

HUH? Right… because gun control has proven to be SO cheap and effective. Just ask Canada.

“From the outset, this recall was designed as a tool of intimidation funded by the gun lobby. What a ridiculous temper tantrum by a bunch of bullies – moms know them when we see them . . .”

Being the mothers of fat, stupid, lazy, spoiled, progressive bullies you would know wouldn’t you? Do the world a favor: if you’re a member of Moms Demand Action, switch to bl*w j*bs and stop creating little progressive hipsters who are going to victimize the rest of us with their entitlement complexes in 15 years. Furthermore, I have a newsflash for you. You don’t get to claim a hidden wellspring of secret wisdom simply by virtue of having a child… a child that was likely sired by a drunk behind the dumpster at chilies, by the way. I have seen PLEANTY of crappy mothers, so knock off the act. I wish you “Moms” were self aware enough to see how narcissistic it is to use your kids for publicity. I wonder how many cases of munchausen syndrome by proxy cases will occur once MSNBC stops giving you the attention you need. We’ll never know, of course. All we’ll ever see is the “gun violence” statistics and never the “crazy b*tch” statistics. The male gender is a LOT of things and I freely admit that many of them are bad. But YOU, Moms Demand Action, represent the absolute worst of the female gender. Thankfully the majority of women have brains in their heads and don’t join your organization of zilches.

“Fortunately, the recalls do not impact the new gun laws signed into law earlier this year by Gov. Hickenlooper.”

      We’ll see about that.

“The Colorado state legislature did the right thing by passing common-sense gun laws, requiring background checks for all gun buyers and limiting magazines to 15 rounds.”

Are you grasping this situation? Put down “50 Shades of Grey” and turn on the news. Apparently, it wasn’t the right thing. Colorado progressives need to go back to California and New York and the other statist shit holes that spawned them and leave the other states alone. They’re like f*cking locusts; destroying their home states, moving on to better ones and then wrecking them too.

“This recall doesn’t change those laws – laws that will continue to protect Colorado families from senseless gun violence.”

      Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight.

“As moms, we are sad, angry, and more determined than ever to stand with those who stand for gun sense.”

Really? Well I must say that changes things, we also stand for gun sense. If by “gun sense,” you mean the completely dismantling all civilian arms restrictions that is.

“There will be dozens, maybe even hundreds of elections next year,”

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Did you actually just say that?! Really?!

“and we will organize and vote for lawmakers who support common-sense gun laws like background checks. Moms will stand with those lawmakers who stand with us, and we will not back down until gun laws are strengthened in every state in this nation.”

I’m sure 48 vapid tw*ts are going to make a HUGE impact. Just like they did last night with a 7 to 1 funding advantage. FOAD.

NOTE: edited down for the bad language filter.

    • You’d think that a big sign saying “Mom’s Demand Action” would lead to higher turnout. Just not for the action they are looking for.

    • I am not a statistician and perhaps Nick can get more accurate figures, but just as a rough guesstimate:

      320,000,000 Americans
Assuming half are females 160 million
Assuming one third of those females might be “Moms”: 53,280,000
Assuming 1 million of those “Moms” actually belong to and/or believe in the “Moms Demand Action” platform that is 1.9% of all the Moms in America.
Assuming the number is actually 100,000, not one million, that is .19% of “Moms”.

Even they should be able to see that they cannot hope to gain a majority in any election, even discounting the fact that a significant number of “Dads” oppose their agenda.

  1. uhh, right. That’s why the Democrats declared truce on the gun issue and Clinton warned the Dems not to trivialize the gun culture.

  2. Quote: “As moms….There will be dozens, maybe even hundreds of elections next year, and we will organize and vote for lawmakers who support common-sense gun laws…blah blah blah”

Didn’t do to well with just 2 elections, and they’re speaking of HUNDREDS?

    HA!

    • “There will be dozens, maybe even hundreds of elections next year…”

Since all the members of the House of Representatives (435 voting, 6 non-voting) and 1/3 of the Senate will be up for election next year I can pretty much guarantee there will be hundreds of elections next year.

I usually hate the “low information voter” canard, but in this case it seems apt. Take a freaking civics class already!

      • Because silly, the NRA doesn’t care about it’s members, it’s all about profits, and the lobbying and Alec, and of course the killing of small children.

        • andarm16,

And here I thought the Mom’s were the one’s getting abortions.

You did mention the killing of small children

      • The NRA has 5 million + members, most of whom are actual dues paying members (like me).

Moms Demand Action “members” seem to be people who clicked on a few links and supplied their name; I consider “members” in this context much less committed than actual paying members.

In a related note, other organizations, like the ACLU for example, a considered “big” or “important”; the ACLU has 500,000 paying members but no one tries to discount them with the idea of them only being much less than a million members compared to the size of the US population but you hear that over and over again about the NRA “only” being millions of members.

        Just a little perspective…

  3. “As moms, we are sad, angry, and more determined than ever”?

Wait a minute. I thought they have been that every time they dance in some dead person’s blood?

She and her ilk will only be more determined than ever until the checks from Soros, Bloomberg, et al stop coming.

Once they dry up, their URL, offices and mouthpieces will be merely dust in the wind and nowhere to be found.

If she’s “more determined than ever”, it’s time for her to get more “creative” in her messaging. I’m thinking music videos, a la Miley Cyrus.

    John

  4. Shouldn’t the group be called 100,000 people for gun control instead of 1 million moms? Also, I bet if it was the other way around, them recalling a pro gun guy, it wouldn’t be “a waste of taxpayer money.”

    • The women who leads the group was formally a marketing exec. In marketing, its all about the emotion and the message. She knows that 1 million sounds big even if its not true.

This is no different than when the news a half million for five hundred thousand or a half billion versus five hundred million. Plus, the news likes to round up or down depending on their editorial agenda as well. Its about perception and the message.

They know that 90% of the people will never bother to peek under the curtain to see that it is all popsicle sticks and silly string. The entire DNC works on marketing philosophies. They are selling versus leading and since this women is experienced to selling ice boxes to Eskimo’s in the middle of winter, this is exactly what she is doing.

It makes you wonder, if something has to be sold so hard versus people just adopting the idea, is it worth the paper it is written upon?

  5. Moms demand politicians ignore their constituents and pass legislation that fits their agenda. That is acting like a child, not an adult or a mother.

      • How about this: “Don’t allow man to be happy. Happiness is self contained and self-sufficient. Happy men have no time and no use for you. Happy men are free men. So kill their joy of living. Take away from them whatever is dear or important to them. Never let them have what they want…Unhappy men will come to you. They’ll need you. They’ll come to you for consolation, for support, for escape. Nature allows no vacuum. Empty man’s soul-and the space is yours to fill.” -Ayn Rand

  6. Remember, when your billionaire-funded politico-machine does something it is “grassroots”.

If another group does it, and you don’t agree it is “the gun lobby”.

Despite the 7-1 outspending, and one of the two recalls being run by a pair of plumbers. Facts? You mean inconvenient truth nuggets!

  7. “funded by the gun lobby”. Nice of her not to mention that the gun banners, Democrats, Bloomberg and Eli Broad outspent the “gun lobby” by margin of at least 7 to 1 and possibly as much as 10-1.

    • No kidding. My favorite is when they feel the need to preface every sentence with “As a mom”. Like that somehow makes them qualified to comment on everything from gun rights to soup recipes. These people are more and more irrelevant with each passing day. Without Doombergs dollars behind them, they’d have nothing.

    • Well the good thing about America is that anyone with an idea and the ability to vote or run for office can set public policy. You can be a mom, a widow, a minority, a majority, a pinko, or a Nazi.

However I really don’t understand why they need the “mom” thing. That’s discriminatory! (laughing smiley face)

        • That’d be a fine idea if we were in 18th Century Poland or Cromwell’s England. However I think cutting off people who aren’t property owners would just be un-American, even if we used to do it that way until the 1840s to the 1860s. Look up the Dorr War Rebellion.

  8. “an off-election year cost Coloradans more than $500,000”

Yeh and it cost old Bloomy 3mil. Chump change to him but I find it ironic that the dem supporters are bitching about outside influences like the NRA while the Dem pollys were on their knees, holding out their hand and literally begging Bloomy for money.

  9. Near as I can tell, moms are the ones responsible for giving birth and raising the animals that committed the crimes in Aurora and Newton that kicked off all this sh!t. Sounds like they suck at being moms?

When are they going to take some responsibility for their own actions and start working to raise decent humans instead of trying to ban inanimate objects? Root cause, b!tches, root cause. Go find a mirror and see why violence is a problem.

  10. “…gun-control advocates far outspent their opponents. A range of philanthropists, liberal political groups, unions and activists raised a total of $3 million to defend Mr. Morse and Ms. Giron. Mr. Bloomberg personally gave $350,000.”

“The National Rifle Association spent nearly $362,000 to oust the two Democrats…”

    http://www.nytimes.com/2013/09/11/us/colorado-lawmaker-concedes-defeat-in-recall-over-gun-law.html?hp&_r=1&

Coming from the NYT you know these numbers aren’t biased in our favor.

    – bsd

  11. This successful recall is PROOF in itself that these politicians did NOT represent the will of their constituency, but instead they represented the will of BLOOMBERG! And even Bloomberg, with all of his mighty dollars, could not buy off the recall effort. Now that is power of the People in action! And when these “moms” (and all of the anti-second amendment crowd) cry about the gun lobby and the NRA helping to fund the other side, I must remind them that the NRA gets their power from their members – AMERICAN CITIZENS – THE PEOPLE – not from Daddy Bloomberg’s pocketbook. The people of Colorado have REJECTED Bloomberg’s meddling in THEIR State’s affairs to try to subvert the will of their local population in order to implement HIS New York-style, ultra-liberal, anti-Constitutional agenda in THEIR state. Way to go, Colorado!

  12. I love how 5 protesters just step infront of a big crowd that is totally unrelated to them for a photo op to make it look like they have followers. This is funnier than Weiner paying for crowds of people to follow him around during the Primary in NYC.

  13. As moms, we are sad, angry, and more determined than ever to stand with those who stand for gun sense.

Let me guess – the people with “gun sense” being the same ones who buy a pistol and then approach a police officer at a traffic stop for help because they’re too afraid to touch it.

Just like the term “horse sense” refers to people who’ve never seen a horse and can’t abide the idea of any of their neighbors owning one.

  14. The problem here is that “a member of the NRA” is being portrayed as OFWGs. When you start showing that MOMS are members of the NRA… you drain their entire argument.

The NRA members who are MOTHERS need to rebuke this attack.

  15. “Moms will stand with those lawmakers who stand with us, and we will not back down until gun laws are strengthened in every state in this nation.”
Hope you bring your walking shoes, bitches, ’cause those politicians won’t be standing, they’ll be LEAVING.

  16. Yes. Let us make the candidate’s stance on gun control a central issue in the next election. MDA are in for a surprise if they think that scenario will tilt their way.

  17. I appreciate the institution of “mother” but give me a break. Being a “mom” doesn’t give you some unique enlightened and monolithic perspective. It isn’t an amplifier for the credibility of your opinions on all topics. It doesn’t make you immune from lack-of-perspective.

Roughly HALF of the people who have children are mothers, this little anti-gun group doesn’t even begin to represent those numbers. What about fathers? Being a parent doesn’t mean you are smart. People all the time become a mom or a dad by being stupid and not exhibiting common sense. Some of the most lacking-in-perspective people in the world are parents.

    • The whole concept of MDA is “argument from authority”.

The way to dismantle an argument from authority is to illustrate that knowledge of the subject matter does not follow from the authority being invoked.

Or, if it does, demonstrate that there are actually multiple views held by that body authority, therefore an argument for one view doesn’t follow from the body of authority.

      • Here’s a handy reference for folks wishing to understand what you mean by “argument from authority:”

        http://www.csun.edu/~dgw61315/fallacies.html

There are some additional humorous, but equally invalid ways, to spin their “motherhood:”

Without mothers, we wouldn’t have criminals. How? No mothers giving birth means no criminals. Ergo, the reason we have criminals is that we have mothers giving birth to criminals.

        Ta-da!

I simply chose a different logical fallacy that they did. It’s just as stupid, only different.

  18. “What a ridiculous temper tantrum by a bunch of bullies – moms know them when we see them . . .”

“As moms, we are sad, angry, and more determined than ever to stand with those who stand for gun sense. There will be dozens, maybe even hundreds of elections next year, and we will organize and vote for lawmakers who support common-sense gun laws like background checks. Moms will stand with those lawmakers who stand with us, and we will not back down until gun laws are strengthened in every state in this nation.”

What do you call someone who threatens to get their friends and come back and beat you up? Isn’t that a bully?

I am going to take a guess that these moms don’t look in the mirror much.

  19. “As a dad and a US Army veteran, I feel that these wretched harpies have zero credibility and serve as useful idiots for those who would disarm the entire populace completely.”

See, I can play their game too. These people are like annoying background noise. Time to change the channel ladies.

  20. TO: All
    RE: Utter BS

The NRA didn’t have anything to do with the initiation of the recall vote on former state senator Giron.

It was started by a local plumber. The NRA didn’t get seriously involved until AFTER the petition was approved.

    RE: Heh

As moms, we are sad, angry, and more determined than ever to stand with those who stand for gun sense. — Those Stupid Moms

As a father and a retired infantry officer, sworn to uphold the Constitution of the United States, I’m (1) more determined than you are and (2) better prepared to ‘win this war’ than you ever will be.

To me, you’re ‘enemies domestic’. And fools at that.

You want to take the weapons I’ve trained to use to defend my home, my family, my neighbors and my country?

    You’re dumber than dirt.

    Regards,

    Chuck(le)
    [ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ]

  22. “– just a year before the regular election cycle – to ensure voting obstacles and low voter turnout.”

As one of the voters who kicked Morse out I would like to know where they got the BS about the low voter turnout? Per the El Paso County clerk and recorder, voter turnout was greater than the 2011 election, and there was a total of over 49,000 people who voted in both recalls. I sure the NRA had little to do with that.

We will get our state back…

    Chris

    • I saw the numbers somewhere that state that in Morse’s election the turnout was 15 percent, and in Giron’s some 30 percent. Are those bogus numbers?

      • Because a judge restricted automatically distributed mail-in ballots [because of a Democratic maneuver to outflank rules specified in the state constitution] there were nowhere near as many mail-in votes.

And nowhere near as much of the fraud associated with those.

        • Actually with over 69,000 registered voters in Morse’s district its closer to 24%. I think it’s because even with the importance of this recall too many voters just too damn lazy to get off their butts. It could also be that they did not think it was important enough to disrupt their lives, which is a big problem with this country.

    • I have been trying to get a sense of the ‘low turnout’. This is what I have found from the data.denverpost.com/election/results/

2010 – Total votes cast for State Senate: District 11 (Morse) 27,908; District 3 (Giron) 41,648
2011 – Ballet issue only, no electing of officials, Total votes cast: District 11 (Morse) 103,633; District 3 (Giron) 34,494

2013 – Total votes cast for Recall Election: District 11 (Morse) 17,845; District 3 (Giron) 34,556

So I guess I would concede this was a lower turnout than other times. If you observe the 2011 year, however, you will notice that for a ballot issue only, there was significant voter activity in Morse’s district. Giron’s district showed roughly equivalent activity between 2011 and the recall. Thus the argument that an off year, special election resulted in low turn out by design, has no merit.

      • Low voter turnout is to blame for their failure?!? Give me a break.

Low voter turnout only means those moms are not effective at the primary function of the organization. Their organization exists solely to drum up support for their agenda, they didn’t drum up support then blame their loss on the low voter turnout they could do nothing to avoid. Any way you cut it they lost, the way they try to spin it only hurts them more if you think about it for ten seconds. It always plays out like this, the moms are willing to buy a special coffee or avoid a certain establishment for a while so they can feel good but when it comes to actual effective action they don’t care enough to actually do anything. Protests get in the way of pedicure appointments. Voting gets in the way of little Jenny’s volleyball. The pro-gun side is fighting for a daily way of life so obviously they will be there to support the cause, even if that means taking time off work and traveling far and wide. Moms can’t get their supporters (if they actually exist) to do anything and somehow it’s an NRA conspiracy. Maybe they should ground those that don’t do what they want or take away their dessert. That’s something moms know about, or will they chalk up dessert as another one of their rights?

They’re half-dedicated, if that, outnumbered, flat out wrong, and constantly wonder why they don’t get the results they want.

      • Actually the 103,000 for 2011 was for the entire county.. senate district 11 which is just a portion of El Paso county would have been much less. As you say though low voter turnout by design has no merit as this seemed to have been advertised as much or more than any other election, not counting presidential, that I can remember. The liberals just like to whine when they don’t get their way.

Either way it is a victory for Colorado and if the Democrats who supported Morse didn’t get off their butts to vote that’s their loss. They spent 3 million in support of Morse and much less was spent in support of the recall. Plenty of time was given for people to get to the polls and there were many polling places easily accessible, with signs pointing the way, so they have no one to blame but themselves.

  23. The very first thing that the new guys should do is to introduce a bill to repeal the offending bill. That should help extend the issue into the regular election cycle….

  24. The Progressive Communist Left is much like Islamo-Fascism in that it has a well documented use of Taqiyya, lies used to advance the cause of Sharia, or in this, case, Marxist totalitarianism.
Truth is an Inconvenient beast to the Useful Fools and Radical Revolutionaries whose goal is the destruction of America and they will avoid it, bend it, subvert it at every opportunity and on every venue be it Global Warming and many other eco-lies or false allegations against their political opponents

  25. Sore losers much?

Not only was it the first time in history a Colorado legislator got recalled, but it was TWO, and both lost their fight… over guns. This isn’t a coincidence, people do not want their crappy anti-gun policies.

Sadly this message will not get through their thick skulls.

  26. Holy insanity Batman! Where do I even begin with the Moms Demand Action statement? It shows me that Moms Demand Action are truly crazy. I cannot decide which is worse, their intentional lies or their statements that violate the core nature of our Constitutionally limited republic.

One example, “The National Rifle Association purposely called this recall election in Colorado …” Wrong. A few residents in Colorado started the recall.

And then we have this gem, “From the outset, this recall was designed as a tool of intimidation funded by the gun lobby.” Wrong again. The residents of Colorado recalled their representatives because their representatives lied to them and failed to represent them, period.

Moms Demand Action have no business talking about “bullies” in their statements when their entire mission is, in concert with government, to bully law abiding citizens.

    • ….and as long as states comply with the federal 2nd Amendment, gun regulation is a matter left by the federal constitution to the states, as part of their police powers. MDA leaders only have a legitimate interest in their own state’s regulations. Campaigning out of state they are simply financial carpetbaggers, like Bloomberg but poorer.

  27. So the losers have issued a statement, which is nice. What I want to know is WHERE IS THE !$#@^#@^$#@^#$ NRA? There’s so much to celebrate here and a great big steaming pile of lies to refute in the MSM. GET OFF YOUR OLD,WHITE,FAT,FUDD !@#%$!#$% AND ISSUE A @#%$#@!$#%@% STATEMENT!

  28. Hmmm, makes me wonder about how Syrian Moms feel about Obama supplying real Military grade arms to Foreign Militants in their country. How many killings have happened there with those weapons? Guess we’ll never know because CNN isn’t exactly doing their little slide show with slow piano music thing any time an Al Qaeda militants shoot up a Christian community with Obama supplied weapons. Oh the stench of hypocrisy. The willingness of the sheep to be led by their nose by their liberal media masters. Funny how all of their little notions of bullet buttons, 7 or 15 round mag limits and universal background checks only apply to us, huh? Their hypocrisy and blatant emotionally charged disdain for any logic makes me sick.

  29. This reckless desire to remove legislators from office in an off-election year cost Coloradans more than $500,000 – an egregious waste of taxpayer dollars.

Typical statement from a group that doesn’t see anyone’s perspective but their own. Taxpayer’s dollars are not wasted if taxpayers want their dollars spent to remove representatives that don’t represent them. Taxpayers might not want giron and morse passing more legislation bent on removing more rights from them. Every moment Giron and Morse stay in office they are formulating new legislation and methods to push their agenda that their constituents don’t want. This reelection couldn’t have spent those tax payer dollars any more efficiently.

    • It was tax money I would gladly spend again and again to clear out the rest of the Godless anti-Americans occupying BOTH houses of the Colorado State Assembly.

  30. Check my background you bunch of self righteous misguided sheep.
You will find a honorably discharged combat medic who enlisted during the height of the Anti Vietnam protests.
What have you done for the country that I served?

  31. The NRA in Colorado alone probably has more members than these shills are claiming to have nationwide. It would interesting to see their actual membership rolls. And how many of them are mothers.

As for the 500K costs to the taxpayers of Colorado, that was more than compensated for by the generous 3 million plus spent in the state by the altruistic Bloomberg, DNC, et. al.

It seems that having recalls over 2A issues is actually a net positive for a state’s economy. Maybe Hickenlooper should set up a few more if he is truly interesting in generating more jobs for Coloradans.

  32. If these elected Officials would have voted the way they were suppose to ( what their constituents wanted), there would have been no reason for recall. The people who put them into office have the right to kick them out of office if they don’t vote the way they should have. In essence, if you hire some one and they refuse to do the job they were hired for, you have the right to fire them. This is a good example of what happened.

  33. “The gun lobby may have won this local battle, but they will not win the national war.”

Huh? It’s just the opposite. Pro-gun folks have the national level sealed with victory, it’s the local battles we have lost in some places.

And she talks about tax money spent? The NRA gave 350k or so for the fight, Bloomberg and others threw in at least 3 million against. If there was any taxpayer money spent I say “well spent!”

  34. No we tell them if a politician dears to suck up to you we will kick them OUT. Your a bunch of hippy morons who cant get a grip on reality.

  35. Seems more like ‘Delusional Elitist Liberal Soccer Moms for a Fictional World’ to me.

Maybe instead of blaming an inanimate object, they should change their name to ‘Moms for better parenting’ and take some blame for the situation themselves. But I guess addressing root causes is too vague for them perhaps. Much easier to follow the media’s little fictional meme, where an inanimate object is to blame, not them …or the Fathers. And certainly not the media, who garnish these psychos in 24×7 infamy, and in so doing, sew the seeds for the next maniac.

  36. Elected Officials are put into office for one purpose and that is to represent their constituents. They were hired to do a job, but didn’t do it, so they were fired. I hope this sends a wake up call to all the Politicians clear though the White House. We could even do this with our President. Any one interested in that Idea besides me?

  37. Liberals have a real problem with the Constitution. As long as they have their liberal jurists and courts to thwart the will of the voting public, they can sail along thinking themselves that they are the pure, righteous(though they do not believe in the Judeo-Christian God) and therefore have the right to foist on all the American public their socialist views on society. From Obamacare to green energy via our huge domestic energy resources, to amnesty and govt. controlled education, liberals simply run over the 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 10th amends. and think they are doing Gaia’s work. Lord save us from liberalism : it’s other name is insanity.

  38. Exactly what I expected from this group of jelly-spined gun grabbers. A childish temper tantrum while screaming “it’s not fair!” This is a sign of things to come November 2014, just like 1994 when we threw out the last batch of anti-constitutional airheads.

    • While simultaneously calling a well-earned victory a temper tantrum, of course. They can’t end a day without an unhealthy level of projection.

  39. Yes (well maybe) the NRA funded the whole recall effort. But Bloomberg and god knows who all spent 10 times more money to keep those 2 democratic jack wagons in office. $350K vs. $3.2 million. That’s right. A grass roots movement spent $350K and unseated 2 dems from the CO senate even though MB spent $350K of his own money and a bunch of other schmucks gave the rest to the tune of $3.2 million dollars…and they got beat down. The NRA really shot their wad so to speak to make this happen. Dont you just hate it when the facts get in the way.

  40. And I ask myself, “Why aren’t the MDA and MMM types campaigning and demonstrating in South Chicago, Detroit, Flint, or Camden? Why Colorado?” And it hits me that they only enjoy affluent suburbs and the heavily-policed business districts in cities with nice cafés. They don’t want to go where the gun actually rules, and they don’t want to break PC rules by pointing their finger in the relevant direction, pointing it at neighborhoods overflowing with violent crime… for which a gun is merely one of many possible accessories ranging from fists, knives, and clubs to arson. There’s a culture that considers violence just “taking care of biz.” MDA types are so cowardly they’ll follow any path but the one that leads straight to the streets of that culture, to the font of crime. Because they’re such nice ladies.

  41. Fu- kin democrats, gun lobby? How about the majority of citizens. Why aren’t these women home doing chores anyway. When the women of the house is the man of the house society gets pussified… wake up men, handle your crybaby wives…

  42. I find it peculiar that they’re complaining about the NRA helping out the recall effort, when the left TOTALLY bailed out Morse & Giron ! ! ! Bloomberg sent millions ! ! ! In fact Morse & Giron outspent the NRA backed recaller’s SEVEN to ONE ! ! ! That’s a FACT, you can look it up for yourselves Libs ! ! ! Therefore, this WEAK Women’s Theory is TOTALLY WORTHLESS ! ! !

  43. I think these 100,000 moms could use a real man in their lives to straighten them out. Guns are how responsible free people maintain our liberties. Never forget what Chairman Mao said: “political power grows from the barrel of a gun”.

  44. Just wondering if any of those distraught women would be willing to move to California. With all of the new laws they are putting into effect it should be plenty safe for them in the “Golden State”.

On the other hand, If only the law makers in CA would pay attention to what happened to their brethren in CO. Maybe another recall is in order, just a little farther west.

  45. Hey moms. Gun control means using both hands. So buy a guy and learn how to control it. My wife (a mother) knows how.

  46. As for the recall result. Perhaps a few of the libtards may start representing their constituents instead of pushing their unAmerican agenda.

  47. Just remember that not all Mom’s think or don’t think like these women. We raised three college grads, one with a Masters, and we are all firearm friendly. We know the value of our kids and grandkids and we protect them with the most effective deterrent available. It works for us. God help their poor families if they ever need help. The police are only minutes away.

  48. NRA had to support the locals. They were outspent over 20x by Bloomberg and other out of state gun grabbers. Then the CO legislature allowed the whole state to vote rather than the local districts which could be seen as an attempt to foil the recall. The people have spoken.

  49. Talk about “temper tantrums”…Me thinks I am observing one in the Moms For Action…..
I live in Colorado, and no, the gun control laws won’t be changed…right now. HOWEVER, there are 55 out of 64 sheriffs who are suing the state to repeal those gun laws, as they are unConstitutional, and are refusing to enforce them. So, in the end THEY WILL BE REPEALED. Incidentally…Governor Hickenlooper is next on the recall list. Those laws would not have become law were they not signed by “you know who”.
It’s apparent that the 2nd Amendment means nothing to those “moms”. They’re really not interested in protecting their children. The mother of the baby that was shot in his stroller, had she been carrying a gun would have turned around the course of events, and her baby would not be dead now.
I guarantee that the vast majority of those Moms For Action… are demoncrats and nothing you say will instill common sense in them…that’s just their nature.

    • Women fought for the equality and the right to vote so they would have the same rights as the Patriots who died for our Bill of Rights. Now they want to take away rights from law-abiding citizens and only have the government and criminals be armed? Sounds like Mexico…and many of their citizens escape violence by coming to the US. Does not make sense to me.

  50. Wow and they would be more than happy to give up the NINETEENTH Amendment if i was to give up the second. I am sure they would agree with that Right MOMS!!!

  51. you cant get rid of all guns in the world, these moms against guns want to protect them self’s and there families so badly against guns they should realize hey you have the right to go get your self a gun and protect your self.hello ass backwards brainwashed people.lets all wake up and stand for our rights and our right to protect our rights, you moms against guns and any others, protect your family get a gun.
