    Good news?
    Hard to believe

    1. avatar Howdy says:

Nothings been called. No updates on the local news. Living in Colorado, I can’t wish more for these 2 to be voted out.

      1. avatar Howdy says:

        Officially official. Morse down.

  2. avatar Nathaniel says:

    Throw the bums out.

    All of them.

    1. hell yes throw all of them out GOD said we will be judging them and the falling angels to so lets get on with it, enough is
      enough

      1. avatar James Taylor says:

Way to go Colorado, to bad Bloomberg didn’t waste a lot more of his money. Serves his ass right.

    2. hell yes throw all of them out GOD said we will be judging them and the falling angels to so lets get on with it, enough is
      enough

      1. avatar Will says:

Please don’t bring God into politics.

        1. avatar Mountain B says:

Dont tell us to leave God out of politics…. The founders included him in everything they did, no matter what your secular scum teachers told you…. I am tired of your ilk trying to keep him out of politics.. see where it has landed our once great country… by the way… Thank GOD for the results in Colorado Springs tonight and may all the progressive scum
in denver and dc learn a lesson here.

        2. avatar Dirk Diggler says:

“One nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all.”. Like that?

        3. avatar CarlosT says:

Except the Constitution, which has no mention of God at all, and only mentions religion in prohibitory contexts, such as “Congress shall make no law” and “there shall be no religious test”.

        4. avatar William Burke says:

How does “don’t bring God into politics” bring God into politics?

        5. avatar Mr Pierogie says:

The phrase “under God” was added in 1954. I like the old version better.

    3. avatar Cliff H says:

“Politicians are like diapers – they need to be changed frequently, and for the same reason.”

Great quote, don’t know who to attribute it to.

      1. avatar JT says:

I believe it was Mark Twain that said it.

  3. avatar Rydak says:

    Yes!!!!!!…suck it you commie bastard~!~

  4. avatar Keith M says:

    One down, one to go.

    1. avatar FTA says:

      A lot more to go…

      1. avatar Keith M says:

        Today that is, more later.

  5. avatar David says:

It’s down here in the land of reasonable thinkers, Colorado Springs; not Denver. They’re a lost cause.

    Initial tallies: Senate District 11
    John Morse (D) 47.82%
    Bernie Herpin (R) 52.18%

  6. avatar Daniel Silverman says:

    WIN!!!!!!
Even if it is only one Bloomberg can take his money and…….

    1. avatar mark_anthony_78 says:

I know he’s rich as s**t, but it’s still gotta suck to blow $350,000 for NOTHING!!!

      1. avatar shawn says:

Tax write off and he will get it back from the US Tax Payers…just like GE and others.

        1. avatar Chris says:

Finding loopholes in the tax system and not paying additional taxes does not constitute theft. Our government from taking money from us and using it to fund whatever they feel like, is. Fix the government and the tax code, don’t blame the companies or individuals that legally use the laws to reduce their taxes

  7. avatar Ross says:

Well it good to see one of the two Constitutionally protected ways to remove someone from elected office working, outstanding.

  8. avatar Mecha75 says:

Maybe he should not have tuned out his constituents and then advocate his fellow state senators do the same.

  9. avatar William Burke says:

The champagne bottles just got replaced with Jim Jones-Ade. Have a nice, long drink, you dumbsh*ts!

Has it sunk in yet that you went too far? IT WILL.

  10. avatar the ruester says:

Every republican ad in colorado next year MUST include Morse’s ridiculous “ignore them” comments.

    IGNORE THIS, A-hole!

  11. avatar Roadrunner says:

Rejoicing throughout the land. I always loved Colorado.

  12. I’ve heard the results aren’t official yet.

  13. avatar Wildman says:

Great work by the grass-roots firearms enthusiasts of Colorado. Your hard work paid off and will benefit all of us!

  14. avatar Robert Farago says:

4 – 5k left to count at 7:44 local time.

  15. avatar Bob says:

A huge victory for our side!

Coloradans just put the voltage back into “the third rail”. (It used to be said that the gun control issue was like the third rail in a subway. If you touch it, you’re dead politically.)

Maybe now politicians will start listening to their constituents again.

    1. avatar Jackie says:

Now if only the rest of the country would follow suit.

  16. avatar James1000 says:

Great news! Anti 2A legislators would do well to take note. Effing Syria BS is consuming National news otherwise this would be up there.

  17. avatar Brian says:

Got two 502 errors trying to post:

How certain are we in these results? The Denver POst is showing both counts as really early and not “called”.

    1. avatar William Burke says:

      I was getting ’em, too.

  18. avatar Kyle says:

I’d be very cautious about declaring victory just yet guys. Give it more time to see more results.

  19. avatar Ernie Williams says:

this should give anyone pause for the coming 2014 election cycle… Don’t mess with the U.S. Constitution… or you will pay…

  20. avatar Dirk Diggler says:

I don’t want to be Debbie Downer, but as a fellow blood sucker, the lawyers have not weighed in yet. Trust me – there are a cadre of vampires lined up to challenge this in court using Gloomy Bloomie’s money. Unless those recalled decide to do the right thing, we may see the whole “hanging chads” fiasco drawn out over the next few weeks. But . . . that is ok, because a victory earned sure tastes sweeter.

Tomorrow – pray for Missouri – it is time to override the gov’s veto of our right to self-defense against tyrannical federal intrusion.

    1. avatar RABBI says:

I AM praying for Missouri. If all goes right I will be living there in a month GO MO!

      1. avatar Dirk Diggler says:

I live in West County outside of STL

        1. avatar RABBI says:

I am planning on moving to Ste Genevieve which is about an hour south of STL. Might be close?

        2. avatar 16V says:

Rabbi, Ste Gen is about a one hour commute from STL. The place to live is Lake Forest Estates, and the rest is just not all that great unless you buy some acreage and solitude. Well maintained and populated with decent middle/upper-middle folk. 10 miles/minutes out of ‘town’ at any hour, and only about 30 minutes from Festus and all the chain nonsense anyone could want. Oh yeah, private lakes, you (used to anyway) be able to shoot down by the old schoolhouse, and it’s really rather pleasant.

Avoid Rocky Ridge Roach Ranch like the plague that it is.

Yeah, I used to live out there and commuted into the STL on a daily basis.

        3. avatar William Burke says:

Is this synonymous with St. Louis Lakes?

        4. avatar 16V says:

WB, Perhaps you are referring to ‘Lake St. Louis’ which is a West County STL ‘burb. Where Nelly (with money) still has a pad if memory serves. It has zippo to do with that, but rather it was cribbed from an inner-ring upper-crust enclave known as ‘Lake Forest’.

    2. avatar Merits says:

That’s right. A very big ‘pound sand Feds’ bill we hope to get through tomorrow. It will be challenged if passed but will be a strong message at worst, and possibly the beginning of a firearm freedom and states-right surge.

      1. avatar RABBI says:

Its symbolic at worst, kick in the pants at best. Either way it tells the Pols to lay off MO’s guns!

  21. avatar Howdy says:

Cool your jets. Only half the votes are counted. No updates locally.

    1. avatar William Burke says:

No updates while they stuff the ballot boxes. Or “fix” those darn machines that are trying to kick them out.

  22. avatar Safety first says:

Results are not out yet… libtards are always the last to show up… it ain’t over yet…

    1. avatar Dirk Diggler says:

someone should tweet “free pot at _______” which is on the other side of the polling areas. 🙂

  23. avatar stateisevil says:

Ummm. misleading headline, Morse not out yet.

  24. avatar jwm says:

Wasn’t Morse term limited? If giron isn’t booted this, combined with the common sense gun laws put thru in California will give new impetus to Federal level gun laws. If we can’t manage to overwhelmingly boot these 2 in a western gun state like colorado how much can we hope for 2014?

    1. avatar Brian says:

Well, big labor failed to recall Walker and they seem to be doing ok at the federal level. Recalls are weird local things, and as we saw with Walker, there are people who might oppose the politician but refuse to vote in a recall that isn’t initiated because of some misconduct, as opposed to bad policy.

    2. avatar Avid Reader says:

Morse is term limited, but this will get him out a year early. Giron is in such a heavily democratic area that it would have been unlikely for her to have been unhorsed.

The fat lady doesn’t sing until the recounts and the lawsuits are done. . .

      1. avatar William Burke says:

        “Unhorse”?

        1. avatar C says:

Is Avid Reader also avidly reading A Song of Ice and Fire?

  25. avatar Paul says:

Only 700 of about 26,000 votes have been counted in Giron’s district. It’s FAR from over.

    1. avatar I_Like_Pie says:

Yeah….I don’t understand what the holdup is.

I am hoping that more than 700 showed up to the polls

  26. avatar Matt in SD (soon Maine) says:

Not jumping for joy on this yet. Recalling both would be a statement but that hasn’t happened.

  27. avatar Gun talk says:

Good luck Colorado. Wisconsin has your back.

  28. avatar John says:

Can we vote Bobo out of the whitehouse?

  29. avatar AngryGerman says:

Wow, I might actually put CO back on the possible places to live list.

  30. avatar I_Like_Pie says:

    ohh.ooh…..It moved. 3% reporting.

  31. avatar joe says:

Giron is in a heavily Democratic district

    1. avatar Kyle says:

That makes it rather surprising that they were even able to have a recall vote for her.

  32. avatar James1000 says:

Looks like Morse is done. Giron however may survive this.

    1. avatar Troutbum5 says:

Giron will likely survive this, since she is from a heavily Hispanic and democrat district. Still, the numbers will hopefully get some of her peers’ attention. And to Morse: See ya, asshole. Good riddance. To the rest of the liberal idiots at the Capital, your time is gonna come. Next November.

      1. avatar Troutbum5 says:

I stand corrected. And almost giddy.

  33. avatar Matt in SD (soon Maine) says:

Morse concedes. One down, one to go.

  34. avatar Jay in Florida says:

    Its a new beginning??
    I hope anyway if only.

  35. avatar Matt in SD (soon Maine) says:

Giron Recall now ahead 56.9% to 43%

Now this is getting exciting 🙂

    1. avatar I_Like_Pie says:

Holy cow this could be huge….still to early, but can you imagine the gun grabber melt down that is gonna happen tomorrow in the news. I am going to have to stock up on gallons of popcorn for tomorrow!!!

  36. avatar ready,fire,aim says:

our founding fathers are looking down and smiling….now….who’s next?

  37. avatar Greg in Allston says:

11:28 Eastern Giron down 57 -43% with 25% of votes counted (28 of 112 districts). Let’s not get cocky but it looks like the tables may be turning.

  38. avatar Greg in Allston says:

As of 11:34 PM Eastern, Giron is behind 57 – 43% with 25% of the vote counted (28 of 112 districts reporting). Let’s not get cocky but it looks like the tables may be turning>

  39. avatar Stinkeye says:

Let me be the first to offer my sympathy:

    http://www.nelson-haha.com/

    1. avatar ready,fire,aim says:

      LOL….

  40. avatar Nyoka Tisa says:

Meanwhile in California…There is no joy, the Tyrants continue to abuse with intolerable acts. Soon, heroin & marijuana possesion will be a misdemeanor, while a metal box (magazine) will be a felony, if these bills are signed… 🙁

  41. avatar doesky2 says:

    Jesus these polls are slow.

    1. avatar William Burke says:

Good news, they say, travels slow. Maybe it’s good news.

  42. avatar Troutbum5 says:

Holy shit! Looks like Giron is probably out too. I am damned proud of my state tonight. C’mon fellow Coloradans, lets keep this ball rolling!

  43. avatar Troutbum5 says:

Holy shit! Looks like Giron is probably out too. I am damned proud of my state tonight. C’mon fellow Coloradans, lets keep this ball rolling!

  44. avatar Troutbum5 says:

Holy shit! Looks like Giron is probably out too. I am damned proud of my state tonight. C’mon fellow Coloradans, lets keep this ball rolling!

  45. avatar Troutbum5 says:

Sorry for the multiple posts. ‘Puter locked up and I couldn’t keep my booger hook off of the post button. ND x3

  46. avatar C says:

What a twist! I’m too much a pessimist to say anything hopeful about Giron, BUT her numbers did pretty much exactly reverse from 3-25% reporting. 43-57 from ‘no’ to ‘yes’

  47. avatar Model 31 says:

As of 11:48 PM Eastern, Giron is behind 56.9 – 43% with 43% of the vote counted

  48. avatar JW says:

    Regular Americans 2
Millionaire Gun Grabbers 0 (and out $350000).

  49. avatar ready,fire,aim says:

And now, the end is here
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I’ll say it clear
I’ll state my case, of which I’m certain
    I’ve lived a life that’s full
I traveled each and ev’ry highway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

    Regrets, I’ve had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do and saw it through without exemption
I planned each charted course, each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this, I did it my way

Yes, there were times, I’m sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all and I stood tall and did it my way

I’ve loved, I’ve laughed and cried
I’ve had my fill, my share of losing
And now, as tears subside, I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way,
“Oh, no, oh, no, not me, I did it my way”

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels and not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows and did it my way!

    Yes, it was my way

  50. avatar Lance says:

Every one toast to kicking these fascist out of office. CHEERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  51. avatar Daniel Silverman says:

Right now they are calling it 2 for 2 both Giron and Morse out.

  52. avatar Korvis says:

Total recall, y’all. To Morse and Giron and their ilk, I can only say: “This is the plan – get your ass to Mars.”

  53. avatar Eric L says:

This warms the kockles …..now I just need to figure out what kockles are

    1. avatar William Burke says:

Cockles; little mussel-like shellfish. “…cockles and mussels, alive, alive-o”. What they’re doing in a heart is another matter.

  54. avatar Dirk Diggler says:

wonder what Giron’s spin will be. . . . she stated when the recall effort started that it was racist because she was a Latina (a wise one?).

  55. avatar Hal says:

    Tomorrow night on MSNBC:

Climate change, what is Jimmy Carter up to in his free time, George Zimmerman, Obamacare is great, Nancy Pelosi’s new shoes… Basically anything but these recalls. HAHAHA!

  56. avatar JeffR says:

    100% in. Giron is OUT!

  57. avatar uncommon_sense says:

The live reporting shows that 100% of votes were counted in the Pueblo area (Senate district 3) and … Giron is out!!!!!!!!!!!

    See the final results here:
    http://live.denverpost.com/Event/Colorado_Recall_Election_2013

    As someone commented, “Splash two!!!!!!”

    1. avatar uncommon_sense says:

      Giron lost:
      56% voted to remove her
      44% voted to keep her

  58. avatar Don says:

Hahahaha! Drinks on me if you’re ever in central PA!

    1. avatar William Burke says:

      I’m on my way!

  59. avatar Keith M says:

    Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! Colorado!
    Ding Ding Ding!
Round one we have a winner!
    Next!

  60. avatar Eric L says:

    @ don,
    Close to it, NEPA here

  61. avatar Andy says:

Glad to see this happen, but the mainstream liberals will blame the NRA for putting money into the recall but, will have the MSM help them cover that Doomberg pumped more money into defeating the recall effort.Same old smoke and mirrors, blame someone else,Boobama is good at it too.Be prepared and ready.Keep your powder dry.

  62. avatar Soccerchainsaw says:

This is great news. It is interesting how few votes were cast thus giving a tremendous voice to the few that made the effort to go out and vote. What is it that they say? 90% of life is just showing up? (Figures not verified by scientific studies.)
