Sandy Hook Spree Killer’s NRA Book Implicates the NRA. Or Not.

(courtesy balloon-juice.com)

Yesterday, Connecticut State Attorney Stephen J. Sedensky III released search warrants written in the aftermath of the Sandy Hook Spree Killing. Amongst the items inventoried: the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting and an “NRA certificate” for the killer’s murdered mother Nancy Lanza. These facts have received plenty of attention from the mainstream media; MSNBC ghoulishly gloated over the revelation. The NRA felt compelled to release a statement: “There is no record of a member relationship between Newtown killer Adam Lanza, nor between Nancy Lanza, A. Lanza or N. Lanza with the National Rifle Association. Reporting to the contrary is reckless, false and defamatory.” So, bullet dodged then? Not in a world where perception is reality.

To get a pistol permit in CT, you need to take a firearms safety class. The text for this class is usually the book in question. Nancy Lanza took the class, got the certificate, and that’s why they own the book.

OH SNAPS! We’ll never hear that. It’s going to be “AL this, AL NRA, AL that! Ban dem gunz, dey turk ur churgin!”

      1. avatar John in AK says:

        Translation, please?

No, wait. . . South Park, ‘Goobacks’, right? “Dey turk ur jawbs!”

        1. avatar Cortney says:

          +1000 to all of this.

  2. avatar Aharon says:

Which mainstream news sites did mother and son ever visit? Did they ever go to msnbc, cnn, etc? If so, how often? How much time did they spend watching the daily news on TV?

    1. avatar John in AK says:

I am curious. . . did either Mrs. Lanza or the beast have any connection to the Democratic Party? You know, voter registration cards, literature, things like that? Were either members of PETA? The Sierra Club? Reader’s Digest Book Club? The PTA?

How about the other murderous psychotic beasts of late? Were they Democrats? Did they eat Kelloggs cereals regularly? Drive Government Motors vehicles? Eat fast food, especially McDonalds? Coca-Cola, or Pepsi? Or, God forbid, Mr. Pibb?

Come, come! Surely, we should be able to connect the dots better than this! Why are we stopping with the NRA?

‘ll make not claims about any accuracy but internet search gives me the following info. That she was a dem (hardly surprising in CT). Anyone know that they did live on Yogananda St?

        Lanza Nancy: Democrat
Hey Nancy CHECK THIS OUT? Is 203-42.-…. Sandy Hook, CT 06482
        Nancy Lanza, …Yogananda St

        1. avatar J Sugden says:

That is their street. It is listed in the warrants.

    2. avatar Hal says:

I called this yesterday. Didn’t they seize a NY Times article about a mass shooting in the search?

ADAM LANZA WAS INSPIRED TO KILL BY THE NY TIMES

      1. avatar Joke & Dagger says:

This country is filled with sheeple who don’t pay attention and vote for Obama. This news tidbit about Lanza and the NRA just doesn’t matter.

  3. avatar Armchair Command'oh says:

He had a book on pistol shooting. He used the pistol to shoot himself in the head. Therefore, the NRA saved the day.

    1. avatar James says:

      well done.

  4. avatar 'MERIKKA says:

This is beyond pathetic. I guess if I buy a playboy magazine, I’m a pornstar…. Its time for the liberals to stop making up stories, then believing the same garbage they spit out..There is a condition for that…

  5. avatar DB says:

The NRA Guide is likely in tens of millions of homes. We have two b/c two members of my immediate family took safety courses. Given American history and tradition this is like saying there was a copy of Goodnight Moon or Huckleberry Finn in the house.

  6. avatar Peter says:

Why don’t they address what the media is implying – “NRA teaches others how to SLAUGHTER CHILDREN!!” By ignoring that, and saying “Nah, she’s not a member that we can tell”, they are giving some “legitimacy” to the ridiculous idea.

  7. avatar Bruce says:

Were they democrats? Maybe that’s a dangerous organization and the reason he did his evil.

    1. avatar Ralph says:

She was a Dem. He was a demented Dem, making him next in line to be Governor of Connecticut.

  8. avatar BlinkyPete says:

I love how “proper training” is at the top of demands of every anti… until someone actually gets proper training. Then it’s clearly the root of all evil.

  9. Let’s not forget Nancy Lanza gave her son money for that Assault Camera!

  10. avatar William says:

I think this is manufactured “evidence” like Mohammed Atta’s passport – found UNSCORCHED, ATOP a pile of rubble.

    1. avatar Ralph says:

UNSCORCHED, ATOP a pile of rubble near the grassy knoll right outside of Area 51 near the Roswell landing site. FIFY.

If the G wanted to plant evidence, don’t you think they’d do a better job of it so genius crackpots couldn’t break their hidden code?

  11. avatar Ralph says:

The only far-left “news” media to print the truth was — you’re not gonna believe this — HuffPo. They explained that the book is the standard text given out when you take the basic, required class, and that the certificate was a training cert not a membership because there is no membership certificate.

Imagine — HuffPo being fair and balanced. If it keeps that up, it’s going to lose its Democratic Party membership card. Oh, wait. There is no party membership card.

    1. avatar 16V says:

HuffyPo seems to have an identity issue.

While generally located in far-left part of ill-informed-propaganda-land, their commentariat isn’t always so. Then there’s the whole Balko angle…

      1. avatar juliesa says:

A sizable cohort of gun rights supporters regularly hits the gun related threads over there. I’ve been commenting there for years, I guess because it’s fun to set them straight on the facts.

    2. avatar Pantera Vazquez says:

Here is the funny thing about this-HuffPo arguments are used by the left when their purpose is served. Now that HP got it right, NOT A ONE on the left will bother, as the truth would invalidate their position. The ‘Lanza Was NRA’ meme serves the purpose, hence let’s let it go, shhhhh. Actually, not funny at all.

      1. avatar Mamba says:

LW sites like HuffPo and MotherJones are very good about lip-zip’n when it suits their agenda. I’ve yet to see word one from MJ regarding the recent GMO/Monsanto betrayal by Obama, tho’ in the past MJ constantly ripped Romney for his ties to Monsanto.

  12. avatar NWBob says:

So I guess having AIDS and giving it to someone else is the fault of GLIB/LGBT too. The NRA is the good guys here, but the media have nothing else to spoon feed their low intellect audience. Lanza was a mental case regardless of what associations he may or may not have had. So we can probably blame the Boy Scouts, Sunday School, the soccer team, the geek club, or whatever else he dabbled in before he went to crazy town, er, I mean Newtown.

  13. avatar NS says:

so is AAA responsible for suicide bombers who blow up cars?

    1. avatar Tom says:

Yes….. We need to ban “high capacity” “assault vans” with fully “automatic” transmissions”

  14. avatar Lance says:

Yeah since the NRA debunked this lets see if Nancy and Adam Lanza voted for Obama and are good little New England goose stepping Democrats too.

  15. avatar tjlarson2k says:

Yeah, if I get killed by a psychopath in the future I sure hope people obsess about what brand of underwear he was wearing instead of the fact he was running loose and wasn’t caught before he killed me….

  16. avatar Roadrunner says:

Deception is reality these days, not perception. More than any one thing, we’re up against a deluge of lies, from statist leftists who have not the slight compunction about lying. We can win if we fight, and keep fighting using the truth.

  17. avatar john Doesky says:

NRA response is a FAIL because it plays the game by the rules of the leftist media. The NRA’s response should have been a big fat ……SO WHAT IF HE WAS A MEMBER?

They could have pointed to a bunch of previous mass murderers who happened to be registered Democrats and said “So are you implicating that the Democrat party is the chosen party of mass murderers?” Then after they clearly pointed out the MSM stupidity, then and only then do they continue on and inform the MSM that in fact Lanza was not a member.

Face it, the NRA played by the MSM rules, and at some future day if a mass murderer happens to be a NRA member, the NRA will be behind the 8-ball. Is this stupid response from the NRA another fumble-fruck response from Wayne’s half-a$$ed though process?

  18. avatar Pat says:

Notice how the complicit media run in lock step with Barry and the boyz and their big money ad blitzes.
If any of you on this forum EVER vote democrat libtard AGAIN, and I find out where you live…………

  19. avatar GS650G says:

Still waiting to here which drugs looney boy was taking, I suspect that will not be released. Because it’s not about mental illness or pharmaceuticals, it’s about taking everyone elses guns away.
