Colt Competition makes raceguns. Nice triggers, nice barrels, nicely done handguards. They’ve done these guns in 5.56 and 7.62 NATO, but now they’ve jumped on the 300 AAC Blackout bandwagon as well. There are some definite benefits for competition shooters, namely that the bullet wipe is much larger (and so you have a larger probability of getting a higher point value when your shot is on the line) and the recoil is manageable even with something that makes “major” power factor. In short, awesome. I just wish this thing came with a silencer mount instead of a muzzle brake.

Any word on how much it will cost?
Pricing and availability information has unsurprisingly been MIA from this year’s SHOT show coverage.
