This image of Madonna’s Colorado stage show came across the TTAG transom too late for our weekend photo caption contest. Equally, it arrived pre-captioned [via perezhilton.com]. Mr. Hilton et. al. have been busy feeding the Madge PR machine, expressing shock and mortification that Madonna didn’t remove the firearms fiesta from her Denver show; the Mile High City not being a million miles from the cinematic gun-free zone (until it wasn’t) in Aurora. Finally! Some genuine S&M for a woman who hasn’t seen any since her conical lingerie (and maybe not even then). The octogenarian singer’s spinmeister Liz Rosenberg defended the display on artistic grounds: “It’s like taking out the third act of Hamlet.” Yup, this bit’s right up there with “To or not to be.” On a personal note, I have to admit that guns DO help relieve my itch—for shooting. Bullets. Non-metaphorical bullets. True story.

  1. “It’s like taking out the third act of Hamlet”

Oh yeah. Sure. Right on. And Obama is like the re-incarnation of Thomas Jefferson, Ghandi, and Abraham Lincoln. Maybe Lincoln when he was acting like Lenin.

      • Don’t compare Barry with Gandhi, for Gandhi said

“Among the many misdeeds of British rule in India, history will look upon the Act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest.” – Mohandas Gandhi, an Autobiography, page 446.

  2. At her age and with her money you’d think the Material Girl would be retired already. And what’s with the guns in her act?
