How Good is the Food in the Muncie, Indiana Jail?

We’re thinking it must be pretty damned delicious. Why else would convicted felon Ritchie Lee Morton have done what he did? munciefreepress.com reports that, “ISP Trooper Ryan Davis said he was stopped at Madison and 26th streets and transporting a suspected drunk driver when another car passed and someone pointed a handgun at his car. The suspect then pointed the gun upward and shot into the air.” When Trooper Davis pulled the car over, he yanked Ritchie out of the back seat before the perp could pull his .38 again. Morton will be back to three hots and a cot courtesy of the Indiana taxpayers while he faces felony criminal recklessness, felon in possession of a firearm and pointing a firearm charges. Welcome home, Ritchie.

Let’s just throw away the key and leave him there this time, OK?

With Winter approaching, you see a lot of this. Seems a little early, though.

I think he was a little overcome by the whole Christmas spirit thing, you know it starts earlier every year!

actually, sa lot of jails are serving cold bkfst (cereal) and lunch (cold cuts) so it really is like 1 hot and maybe a cot (esp if your bunkie decides he wants you to keep him warm) . . . . just saying

As if we needed further proof that the bad guys aren’t rocket scientist. As for the food in the muncie jail, he’ll probably only be there long enough to face the judge and then head off to the pen.

Idk, I got better food in jail than I did in the Marine Corps.

Food isnt what makes jail suck. Anyone who has spent time there can tell you that.

I actually live in Muncie, and work at the Subway across the street from the jail. The first thing most of the new releases do is come over and get a sandwich. So take that for what it’s worth.

FWIW… there’s also the Shawshank Redemption factor… guy missed the strict structure of prison and couldn’t function well without i… just sayin’. It IS another possibility.
