Hunting with Silencers Officially Legal in Texas… for Everything

Today marks the beginning of the Texas hunting season, and the biggest change this year is thatĀ silencersĀ are now 100% legal to use no matter what you’re hunting. They’ve been legal for “exotic” species for some time (including the much loved feral hog), but the ability to hunt whitetail without hearing protection is now only a Form 4 away. Personally, I can’t wait.

If a hunter fires a silenced MSR in the woods and a gun grabber isn’t around to hear it, does it make a sound?

Beautiful. Maybe a step towards normalization and getting them off the NFA List

i believe it’s finland that pushes the use of silencers as it’s more humane for the dogs that are with the hunter and less likely to disturb non hunters with the noise. that’s a law i can live with.

Maybe someone should tell PETA that it is more humane to hunt with a silencer. I’ll take their support for that issue at least, but otherwise I consider them insane.

How do you think the 300 BLK will handle a full-grown deer?
