I live at the far diagonal corner of the Lower 48 from the rash of zombie-related events in Florida, but if I took any of this seriously (and I don’t) there would be no time like the present to make sure my arsenal is well-stocked. So to speak . . .

Kmanator sells insane things on Ebay, like this axe-equipped AK buttstock. The last word in skull-splitting Kalashnikov furniture can be yours for a measly $47.50 including shipping. Gun and other bits not included.

On closer inspection, this might not be quite the perfect buttstock for keeping your eyeballs from getting chewed out: I’d rather see a full-length TIG weld where the axe blade joins with the stock. And the skull cutout looks like it probably weakens the cutting/smashing edge. Which isn’t really sharpened anyway – just beveled a little to look sharp. Of course, just a minute or two with a wheel grinder . . .

Maybe Gerber or Cold Steel will jump a little further onto the fast-moving Zombie sh!t bandwagon and put out a fully functional (?) axe buttstock. Here’s hoping. That they don’t.

  1. Holding a long gun with an axe shaped sharpened buttstock is dangerous. I hope no one is foolish enough to buy one and sharpen it. This is the type of nonsense companies like CS and Gerber Baby Knives are getting increasingly into. Gerber is not the same company that it used to be. Even Ka-Bar has a zombie line of knives. Fortunately, there are lots of great high quality knife manufacturers to choose from.

      • I thought those were cheap Gerber knockoffs. Like maybe Chinese imports and Gerber was spelled with two r’s or something like that. And then I saw they were authentic. And then I died on the inside too.

Actually, Gerber is spelled with two Rs.

    • Jeff O and Ben Ali,

      Check out these knife lines:
      Becker Knife & Tool
      Swamp Rat
      Junk Yard
      ESEE
Ka-Bar (which makes the Becker line also still makes other decent knives)

      • err delete the Junk Yard name. The company is called Scrap Yard Knife Company. They are part of the Busse Group that includes Busse Knives, Swamp Rat Knives, and well then duh Scrap Yard.

I own a Becker (BK2) and it is a real workhorse knife at .25 inch thick 1095 crovan steel. The BK7 is like the Ka-Bar on steroids. I just ordered the BK5 model.

  2. OK, I can understand watching Zombie movies, but actually spending money on products to kill Zombies? Sorry, but money is too hard to come buy for me to throw it away on some Zombie ax. I have zero desire to buy any Zombie related weapons, ammo, knives, cigarette lighters, etc. For the same reasons that I have zero interest in buying land on Mars, getting Easter Bunny insurance, or building defences against shark attacks here in the Poconos.

    • I’d like know that too. It looks like the one I use to have on a Romanian AK years ago. Only the one I had didn’t have holes through it. I could see putting the lower handgaurd on, but hell no for the stock.

  3. Hey Chris, you’ve got a Mosin, right? Just mount the bayonet and when you run out of ammo stick ’em through the eye.

  4. Awesome, but that is what I refer to as tacti-stool. But I’ll still probably buy one. 🙂
