Hi.

I’m a long time reader of TTAG and I play trumpet in the US Navy Band. I have recently taken over video production as well, in addition to my normal performing duties. It’s one reason I haven’t fired a single round since about the end of February. Sucks. I recently produced this short video for the occasion of Memorial Day. If you like it, I was thinking you could post it on your most excellent blog. If not, that’s cool too.

Thanks.

  1. Well done shipmate, well done. Always remember those that paid the ultimate price for the freedoms we enjoy today.

  2. Eric,

Thanks very much for that video. My dad’s buried at Arlington and the way you ended that was very emotional for me.

Thanks to you and all for their service and sacrifice, present and past. I am truly a grateful citizen.

  3. On my way to the airport this morning, I passed by two memorial services, one in front of the VFW hall down the street from my home, and one at the graveside of a veteran in a local cemetery right off the highway. I had time so I stopped at both.

The folks at the cemetery were remembering a Vietnam vet. They were surprised that a stranger would go out of his way to show respect for a deceased war veteran. I told them that I was sad that no one else did.

  4. Perfect pitch. My respects to those who died in service and my hats off to you and all who serve or have served.
