Smashing good idea. We’ll get the same day November 6th, 2012

  2. avatarPaul says:

Count me in! That goes for my brother as well! I may also burn a certain religious book tonight in glorious celebration …

    • avatarChris Dumm says:

You’ll need to wait for ‘Piss Off A Self-Righteous Religious Busybody Day’ for that.

      • avatarMoonshine7102 says:

Are you kidding? Every day is ‘Piss Off A Self-Righteous Religious Busybody Day’

  3. avatarpair-o-dee says:

I dunno. I’m a liberal, gun enthusiast, drinker and meat eater. I quit smoking back in 1995, am married and enjoy a spot of porn. But I don’t find this clownish racist annoying, just idiotic.

  4. avatarRydak says:

    TEAM AMERICA… F*CK YEA!

  5. avatarJohn says:

Eh, he implies by listing as an activity that would piss off a liberal that liberals think heterosexual sex between married couples is a bad thing, and just have an agenda of anarchaic unmarried bisexual debauchery. I’m pretty sure they just want equal rights for all consenting adults to be able to have relations and relationships with whomever they choose, and I have to side with them on that issue. Myself, I plan to go have a delicious hamburger and buy a box of .22 today.

    • avatarV.McCann says:

Actually, according to more than one professor I had, all sex between a husband and wife is rape (marriage being a partriarical institution, and all).

      • avatarLow Budget Dave says:

I hope you dropped that class. I had a firm policy of dropping every class where the professor was more liberal than me. (I am a little to the left of Paul Krugman, except that I own guns, eat my steak rare, and go to a big church full of what appear to be Christians.)

    • avatarVermin says:

Also, where are these people who are allegedly preventing consenting adults from having relations and relationships with each other?

      • avatarMoonshine7102 says:

Don’t be obtuse. You know very well what John’s talking about.

        • avatarVermin says:

Of course I do. I wasn’t being obtuse, I was pointing out that he’s inaccurately framing the issue. (Interest of disclosure: I am both Vermin and V.mccann. I posted one comment from my desktop and one from my ipad, and put the wrong name in when I switched.)

        • avatarRalph says:

Let’s hear it for polygamy! No? Well, why not?

        • avatarVermin says:

Hey! Stop legislating morality! (Unless you do it in ways liberals find acceptable!)

      • avatarRopingdown says:

The point of gay marriage is the obtaining of benefits extended to housewife/mothers raising their children. The extension to wives not raising children was dubious from the start. To extend the benefits to same-sex couples is absurd. Social Security and military pension benefits, gift-tax benefits, converting an employer’s untaxed health benefits into a double-play, the list goes on. The abuses of the public fisc began with heterosexual married couples. Gays just want in on the enormous freebies. Going from boyfriend to “wife” has many tax-payer-funded benefits. If those were not involved, I’d say “go ahead, play dress up, commit yourselves for life or until the sex turns boring.

  6. avatarSilver says:

Any day in which a white American male can freely and equally practice every Constitutional right is a day that pisses off liberals.

  7. avatarVermin says:

I’m going to go drop a deuce in the privacy of an “oppressive” “gendered” bathroom.

  8. avatarTRUTHY says:

I like how you smear all liberals as anti-gun. I am a staunch liberal, yet own many, many guns, and am pro 2A as well. You all (who paint us with a broad brush) are taken in by the con artists known as Republicans. They get you to vote for them, against your own economic well-being, by using God, guns, and gays. Sad for you.

    • avatarVermin says:

Hey! Give us back our broad brush!

    • avatarVermin says:

But seriously, you can’t honestly be arguing that “liberals” are not generally more anti-gun than conservatives, just like I would never argue that conservatives are not more likely to oppose gay marriage etc. If you were, you would just be wrong.

    • avatarnonnamous says:

That is exactly what the Dems do too…just look at the news to see Obama throwing out gays as a distraction to the real issues. I think it is telling that on almost every major issue, Romney and Obama have the same viewpoint.

      • avatarSCS says:

Yeah, “my economic well being” is SOOOOOO much better off with King Barack Hussein on the throne. Give it a rest Nancy Pelosi.

    • avatarAccur81 says:

The liberals tried to brainwash me, but I simply had too much common sense, taxes withheld, and experience with government ineptitude.

You may be a staunch liberal in favor of 2A. If that’s the case, you’re the only one I’ve heard of.

I’ll vote for the Republicans because they are, as a whole:

      Pro US
      Pro gun
      Anti tax
      Pro life
      Pro freedom
      Anti kissing NATO ass
      Pro oil
      Pro US Energy production
      Anti socialism
      Oppose Federal healthcare / Obamacare
      and the list continues.

That’s brainwashing I can believe in! If you know a liberal who supports all of that, I’ll vote for him or her. Until then, I’ll be pissing off liberals with reality.

I’m off to the shotgun range, and then a scotch. Cheers!

  9. avatarVermin says:

Also, why is it that taking a position regarding god, gays, and guns that differs from the liberal positions on those subjects is somehow invalid? Liberals’ votes are also influenced by those issues. I could just as easily accuse you of the same thing. Of course I wouldn’t, since, as a right winger, I have actual arguments to make in support of my positions and no need to resort to goofy sloganeering.

  10. avatarCarlosT says:

Meh. Liberal here, not bothered by any of those things. [shrug]

  11. avatarBob says:

Where’s MikeB302000? I thought he would be here vehemently opposing our right to have a “Piss Off A Liberal Day”.

  12. avatarDex says:

Im socially liberal, and I love:
    1.) any meat…especially bacon
2.) My firearms…all fifty one of them
    3.) alcohol (Jaegermeister)
    4.) Tobacco
    5.) Western philosophy and art
6.) Heterosexual intimacy with my wife I certainly understand where this NZ-lander is coming from though. Conservatives have far more leverage in American that they would in Britain and the commonwealth :)

    • avatarPhrederick says:

Then you’re not the kind of liberal he’s referring to. I think you know the type. Me, I rather like the more open minded liberals in the traditional sense of the word who truly consider individual rights rather than charging forward to press every small personal issue down everyone else’s throats.

    • avatarDaveL says:

Count me as another liberal who matches you on all counts except #4. Seriously, this just makes conservatives look juvenile.

      • avatarVermin says:

You might be overlooking the fact that he lives in New Zealand and is targeting his antics at New Zealand liberals. It therefore doesn’t really matter what your views are regarding guns, smoking, etc.; it matters what liberals in New Zealand think of them.

        • avatarLow Budget Dave says:

You may have something there. In some cultures, being a “liberal” is associated with being condescending. Pretty much the way I feel about most conservatives in the U.S.

My idea of “liberal” is people who do not care what you eat, drink, or sleep with. If you are trying to impose your values on someone else, then it doesn’t really make you liberal or conservative, just annoying.

  13. avatarRalph says:

I vote for Piss ON a Liberal Day. It’s much more effective, and anyway, when you gotta go, you gotta go.

    • avatarbontai Joe says:

I finally got to watch this with sound. And Ralph, I like your thinking. I’ll skip all the hoopla about gays, straights, etc, and just say this fella from NZ looks and sounds like a guy I’d enjoy meeting and getting to know at the range.

  14. avatarYasmine says:

Liberal gun rights ppeole are guns rights ppeole, as long as they are truly for forbidding federal (and state & local) gun restrictions. The left does that stupid “to be with me on one issue means you have to be with me on 100 more” argument. If you subscribe to the “monon abe” (however that looks in the Latin Alphabet) philosophy, you’re with me.wv: maiffo. Some guy named Luigi saying, “You toucha my gun, I breaka your face.”
