As good as editing and special effects software is now, it’s hard to tell if this is the real deal or not. But there’s definitely a Real Men of Genius commercial in here somewhere. Sure, there are easier ways to touch off a shot shell primer, and some people will look at a contraption like this, shake their heads and ask why. Others look at it and ask why not.   1. I’d be more impressed if he nocked the shotty and launched it. Now that would be reeeeeeealy stoopid.

  2. I was expecting some sort of shotshell explosive-tipped arrow contraption, set off by the force of impact.

  3. Very lame. A highly unstable zip gun. Accident waiting to happen. The bow alone is a far more effective weapon. Guess that puts me in the “Why?” category.

  4. I am a big fan of “because we can” engineering, but even I am squarely in the “why?” camp on this one.
