Come February, The Truth About Guns (TTAG) begins its third year of operation. When I pressed play on this WordPress blog, we started with zero page views and zero unique visitors. As we enter 2012, TTAG has become America’s most popular original content firearms website blog thingie. Foghorn will tighten-up the definition and lay the stats on you in a separate post. Suffice it to say, we know how we got here: providing our Armed Intelligentsia with regular helpings of up-to-the-minute, no-holds-barred firearms-related content penned by the some of the world’s most passionate, informed and entertaining gun writers. I promise that TTAG will keep on keeping on and keep it real. In the year ahead, as in the years behind, we will tell the truth about guns. Meanwhile, on behalf of the entire TTAG team, thank you for keeping us honest and making it all worthwhile.
Is that a new defense load I have yet to hear about?

We should all make a New Year’s resolution to be nicer to mikey and other people less fortunate than ourselves. Idiotic, drivel-writing, room temperature IQ, drooling expatriots deserve all the respect that we can possibly give them. So c’mon, people, lets give it up for mikey, our designated tr0ll and one of the main reasons why we are winning the battle for the hearts and minds of sheeple everywhere.

Allow me to elaborate for you, though. You should be nice to me because, although you won’t admit it, I make some good points which you guys need all the practice you can get to argue against.
I do it, not for you, but for those fence-sitters you mentioned so nicely by calling them “sheeple.” I honestly believe more of them are being won by my arguments than yours.

Speak for yourself, John. Personally, I do not hate mikey. I can’t hate anyone that I don’t actually know. I’m sure that if I got to know him, I would at least dislike him intensely, but I’m not going to Italy any time soon.

“Why do I troll here relentlessly?” Well, that’s kind of a loaded question. Did you just want to slip in the old “troll” insult, or is there a real question in there?
Assuming the latter, I do it for the same reason I blog on my own site, for entertainment, for enjoyment. Truthfully, arguing with guys like you gives me a feeling of superiority. I love it when you try to turn it around and say you’ve kicked my ass or that I’m “afraid” to address the difficult issues. I call all that nonsense on your part “whistling in the dark.”
You guys love guns. You could leave it at that, it is a free country after all, but no. You go to incredible lengths to justify and support that most irrational decision. When all else fails, you pull out the old parchment, The Constitution I mean.
Who would not, I mean, what liberal leaning, reasonable fellow who understands the difference between right and wrong, would not derive endless enjoyment and entertainment from sparring with you guys.
Congrats to the TTAG team! It’s a significant accomplishment to be heard so well above the din of the Internet. Onward & upward!
