Savage is here at SHOT showing off their new 11/111 Lady Hunter, a rifle they claim is designed with females in mind. According to the Savage reps the typical female firearm is simply a standard rifle with a smaller stock and a pink finish, but Savage took a different approach to feminine firearms by first… shortening the stock. But there’s more…

In addition to the shortened stock Savage included a longer and sloped comb on the stock, a more slender pistol grip and a thinner forend. The net effect is a firearm that has the centre of balance placed further back than normal, allowing for less muscular females to hold and balance the rifle just as well as their male counterparts.

It’s not that comfortable feeling to me, but then again I don’t have boobs.

      • Eleven One-Eleven isn’t the rifle name. Presumably the rifle is available in a Model 11 and a Model 111 configuration. Per Savage’s standard nomenclature an “11” would be a short action, and a 111 would be a long action.

  1. I can’t wait for Ms. Teaser or whatever her name is to release a youtube video review on this new gun. I’m already imagining her holding the gun close to her sport’s bra and telling us how wonderful it feels.

    • According to Ithaca, there is. Women hold and work the stock of a long arm different than an man. Have two daughters and man stocks are not the best.
