Some gun guys hold that every YouTube instructional gun video should start with a safety check demonstrating the fact that the gun is empty. Safety Nazi that I am (that’s Mr. Godwin to you), I’m reasonably OK with vids that neglect the “See? It’s Empty!” part of the program—as long as the presenter then exhibits safe gun handling. In this case, no. The bad part: he thinks he’s skilled enough to tell other people how to wield a firearm. The scary part: some people will model themselves after him. Am I seriously suggesting that MrSurplusnut has a responsibility to show anyone stupid enough to take him seriously how to handle a gun responsibly? I am. YMMV.
