Incendiary Image of the Day: Shack Attack Edition

Huh? From what does Dish Network protect you? Cable envy? Still, no one ever went broke underestimating gun owners’ inability to reject cognitive dissonance. Maybe it’s a Montana thing. “I think it really, really fits the Bitterroot Valley,” Hamilton’s Radio Shack franchisee Steve Strand told ravallirepublic.com. “It’s been really successful,” store manager Fabian Levy revealed. Apparently, the offer of a gift certificate to Frontier Guns & Ammo good for a $135 Hi Point .380 or an unspecified 20-gauge shotgun with every Dish Network sub (and related hardware) has tripled their business since the promotion started last October. From . . . ? To . . . ? Anyway, the Shack’s owners says Dish Network is on board, and redeemers must pass the usual background check. “We’re not just giving guns to felons,” Levy said.

Good on them! As my uncles can tell you, most of the inhabitants of Big Sky Country never need much of an excuse to get another gun. And although Hi-Points aren’t my style (a 27-ounce polymer frame .380 never will be) they are rugged and reliable, with a legion of satsified owners.

You got the right one. Don’t forget, every six months hit ’em up for something free.

This is not all that uncommon here in MT. My husband is a builder, and a few years ago one of his suppliers had a program that offered a points system for materials purchased. The points could be redeemed for guns at a local sporting goods store.

I liked the offer you showed us a few months back for the viper and 50 cal barrett, now that was a deal.

  6. avatar Ralph says:

The weirdest thing just happened to me. I bought a gun and got free cable.

  7. avatar Mrs. Finn says:

Two wrongs don’t make a right. I didn’t like dish network and didn’t like that gun.

    1. avatar Ralph says:

Yeah, they should rename that company “Low Point.”

Yeah, affordable and reliable guns, made in America, with a lifetime warranty.

My local Hummer dealer was giving away a Browning Citori Lightning with every purchase of one of those off-road-incapable nightmares.

(That was way back in May of last year. They still have stock on the lot if you’re interested…)
