Help Us Create TTAG’s FIrst Annual Awards Thingie

TTAG shoots from the hip. Maybe that’s why we recently crested 120k unique visitors per month. It also explains the next step in the site’s gratifyingly rapid evolution: TTAG awards. We’re looking to create an awards program that identifies the good, the bad and the downright useless in the firearms sphere. Obviously, our truthiness will separate us from the herd. But more than that, we want you, our Armed Intelligentsia, to call the shots. You choose the categories. You make the nominations. You choose the winners. Before all that, we need both a formal name and a nickname for our collective endeavor. Suggestions [below] will be most appreciated. Meanwhile, thanks again for putting food on our table.

The John Moses Browning awards, otherwise knows as the Johnnys

The Truth About Guns awards, or the Taggies

The Heller Second Amendment awards, the Hellies

The Bloomberg Gun Demagoguery awards, the Bloomies

I could go on, but have to go to work.

Too bad the “Misfire Award” has been claimed by some UPS dudes on some silly little podcast.

Best firearms image, both comedic and serious categories.

You should also add a WTF award, for that image, story, weapon,
or accessory that most induces a WTF reaction.

  5. Call them the Twang Busters.

You should have a Charlton Heston award for those who help advance the gun industry. The Charles Bronson award for those who take out a badguy. The Sarah Palin award (I like her so I don’t care what it’s for, anything is fine) The Chunk Norris award for gun supporters. The bloomberg gun hater award and give it to michael moorer. The John Wayne award for cowboy shooting peeps. The Clint Eastwood award for someone in law enforcement. The Steven Seagal award for guns and martial arts peeps.
