Corroborating Evidence for Elvis’ IGOTD Nod

Earlier today, I named The King of Rock and Roll as TTAG’s Irresponsible Gun Owner of the Day. Amongst Elvis’ many qualifications: the infamous Robert Goulet-related TV shooting. Just in case you thought I was being a stick in the mud, check this via khsltv.com: “Police say Benjamin Smith and his wife, 47 year old Laura Smith, got into a verbal argument just before midnight Thursday. Police say Smith pulled out a 9mm pistol and shot the television one time in the center of the screen. The round fragmented and hit his wife in the upper chest and abdomen. She was conscious when paramedics arrived and was taken to Mercy Medical Center. Benjamin Smith was arrested at the scene for Reckless Discharge of a firearm. He’s being held on $25,000 bail.” Now and then . . .
