“Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Thomas E. Brandon of the Detroit Field Division, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), today announced a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the burglary of Flanary’s Performance Center & Guns, a federally licensed firearms (FFL) dealer, located at 153 Merriman Rd., Garden City, Michigan.” Nothing like an ATF press release to really get the blood flowing. Here’s the money shot . . .

On July 9, 2010, during the early morning hours, someone forcibly broke into and entered the gun dealer’s business and stole 46 firearms.

I make that $108.69 per gun. Last year, the ATF’s budget was . . . wait for it . . . $1.028 billion. Just sayin’.
